Staff was so helpful and made the stay so nice. Room was average however grrat for a short stay. Internet worked fine and breakfast was giod too.
Shower was extra small and no chair was in the room. TV went fuzzy sometimes.
Nice location. One block from SMN Train Station and short walking to cathedral. Very helpful staff.
Bathroom is so small. Wi-Fi rewuires Gmail or Facebook account to login and use but speed is satisfactory.
The hotel was really close to the train station. Room was comfortable. The staff at the reception was very very nice and helpful..
The bathroom was a bit small, shower was extremely tiny - wouldn't recommend for a big person. Breakfast was a too basic and a bit disappointing...
Great hotel, yummy breakfast and the nicest staff in the world! Add to that a great location, quiet but close to all the attractions perfection!
It's probably been mentioned before in other reviews but the shower cubicle is a bit on the small side but good water pressure so not all bad.
Near sight seeing area
Noise at night
Good location close to the station and just 5 min walk away from downtown.
Do not change towels daily
I booked this hotel for it's location. Not far from train station and a short walk to San Lorenzo. I inadvertently booked this hotel without breakfast, so the first few days I ate in the breakfast room. One day staff told me that I wasn't entitled, but then said it was OK anyway...
Apparently this hotel caters to “groups.” On my day of arrival I wanted to take a nap in the afternoon after my long travel time. Was woken up by loud talking by what seemed like a crowd of people. When I went to look, I found about 15 people in the reception area with their suitcases all on the floor and they were packing! When I asked what was going on, they said they checked out in the morning and were leaving by their bus now and needed to put things in the suitcases….. Excuse me? A hotel allowing all these people to take over the lobby/reception area with all their suitcases open on the floor? I had a single room which ended up being right near reception. The walls of my room were so thin I could hear anyone talking in reception area. I could hear the cappuccino machine in the morning from the breakfast room! I used that as my alarm clock! I could hear the person in the room next to mine in their bathroom! Security was another matter. I can’t tell you how many times I came back to the hotel only to find no one at the reception desk. I needed my key so I just walked behind the desk and got it. Think about that…. ANYONE could have done the same thing! Bad, very bad.
Location near center, helpful staff.
Expensive safe parking, EUR 21 per night, expensive for the standard, two star. Should have stayed outside town and driven in for the day.
Hotel Lombardi was very nice and in a great location. The staff were exceptional.
The wifi didnt extend to our room. In order to access another close free wifi we had to "Like" another hotel (we weren't staying at) on facebook which I didn't like doing.
Great location close to train station and close to everything you would like to see in Florence
Pillows and access to wi fi
right next to bus/train stations walking distance from Firenze centre
basic breakfast some rooms do not even have a window facing outside somewhat worn out
Perfect location, allowance for check in early when possible
Wifi does not work
staff are very nice, the location is very close to the railway station, three minutes! I like the old elevator, which needs you to close and open the door with your own hands, it's like an antique!
The hotel is very well located. You can go walking to anywhere in the town. The room is very spacious and confortable. The air conditioner works pretty well and this is essencial during the italian summer. The staff is fantastic. Everybody helped me in everything I needed.
The wifi never worked in my room. I had to go to the reception to use the internet.
- location : very close to main train station - elevator : I thought this kind of it was only left in museum, but it does function well and easy to use. - A reception guy name "Enver". He's helpful, friendly.
- safety issue. After I left the room for having my dinner at 9.00 pm. The other reception guy asked for the room key which was odd. I had experienced lodgind place from 5-star hotel to hostel but nowhere ask for the roomkey before I left the hotel. And after I came back, there were lots of evidence of someone got into my room, eg. The curtain was rolled both sides, my mom's luggage's contents (the luggage was left opened) was rearranged. I came out and ask for explanation from the reception. He confirmed that he was all alone, no housekeeper was in charged in the night. Luckily, nothing was lost. Next morning, i complainted this situation to the manager. He only made a bunch of accuses with the-quote-of-all-time " this kinda thing had never happened before".
Very nice breakfastroom, and very friendly and helpful staff at daytime.
I had two different rooms, and wifi did not work at all in the first room.
Staff was polite and every one of them spoke basic English; The rooms get cleaned and towels get changed every day; I had a fridge in my single room which was super convenient; Breakfast includes the choice of a yoghurt, cereals, croissants, bread and then you can add butter/jam. Orange juice, coffee/tea and water are also included. The location is amazing, just a few minutes away from the Santa Maria central station
If you're a light sleeper, please bear in mind that some of the single rooms (like mine) have windows that go outside on the street called Via Faenza where tourist buses start running as early as 6 am and they're pretty loud. This was despite closing both of the balcony doors; People spoke about small showers, this indeed seemed to be the case for me. The shower was about 50 cm by 50 cm small so if you're a big person, no chance of taking the shower properly unless you want to open the shower curtain but then you will wet the floor.
Clean room.. Great location.. Friendly and helpful staff..
Perfect location, amazingly friendly and helpful staff.. Great breakfast options..clean room
The staff was really kind and helpful. The bathrooms were clean, which is always important. We were all girls and felt safe in the area.
Great location near train and all tourist spots within walking distance. Staff hospitable and friendly and helpful. Gave all local info and helped with our enquiries without any language barrier.
The location is very close to the station.
Great location since the hotel is a couple of blocks away from the main train station and it is surrounded by restaurants and supermarkets. Also the main streets of the city are easily accessible by walking.
The shower cabin was way too small and the material smelled horribly!
Great location just a few minutes from Santa Maria Novella train station and just a short stroll to the Cathedral and Baptistry. Located on the second floor there is a lift or stairs. Room was spacious (twin) with beautiful high ceilings and air con (much needed as it was 38d). Windows were shuttered but could be opened wide to let daylight in. Breakfast was included and worth taking (continental) - not a huge selection but plentiful with coffee made fresh to order. The breakfast room was delightful and the windows were open to let the air flow through. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would stay again.
Not a lot of room in the shower if you are a larger person but adequate enough if you are of 'average' size.
Near to Firenze SMN. 10 minutes walk. Although very basic but very clean. Breakfast was simple. Staffs were also nice. The internet was slow.
The room theme color. Too gloomy and uninviting.
