Hotel Aldobrandini ia a family-run establishment located inside the famous San Lorenzo market, and just a short stroll to the most important museum of Florence. It offers free Wi-Fi.
Score from 620 reviews Good
Centrally located in Florence, Hotel Romagna is just a 10-minute walk from the Uffizi Gallery.
Score from 395 reviews Very good
Located just 215 yards from Santa Maria Novella Station, the Hotel Montreal provides attentive service in a central location. It has free Wi-Fi and air-conditioned rooms with flat-screen satellite TV....
Score from 443 reviews Very good
it was in the center of the city, close to the duomo and very close to Mercato Centrale. Easy walk to and from all major sites.
Stains on the walls, dirty room, uncomfortable bed and pillows. Shared a bathroom with another room, nothing like what was expected. When trying to sleep, you can hear everything going on outside and throughout the hotel. The staff was exceptional, always having the key ready for you when you get back to the hotel, but overall i wouldnt stay there again
The location was absolutely perfect, everything is close by. Breakfast was very good. The room was comfortable, and although the decor was dated, it was in good enough condition to feel very cool and vintage. Bathrooms were clean. There is a lift, if you need it. And, to top it off, the view from our window was spectacular!
Location to main train station was 10 minute walk. Duomo was a 2 minute walk. Excellent gelato just across from the entrance! Front desk lady (with black glasses) was great and gave good tips on restuarants.
Decore is outdated but still adequate and typical for budget Italian accommodation.
Twin beds not a double, had to leave key at reception, tiny bathroom, extremely dated room
Nice and central, but windows block out noise. Old but clean.
Location, room view, room size
Mosquito, difficult to remember to close all three doors of the lift every time you used it
Very good location and nice hotel.
Location, location, location: the hotel is in a vibrant yet not too noisy area, and you can walk to all the major tourist attractions within 5 minutes. And we had a lovely view of the Duomo from our room! The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Very small bathroom, and shower curtain that clung to one's body.
Lorenzo was very helpful. He gave me a map of the city and he circled areas of the city which may interest me. He also supplied me with a phone charger plug when I needed it
The location. We walked to the hotels from the train station. One tip . As you exit the train station SMN, you have the Grand Hotel Gigilioni and the obelisk on your right (In front of the church). Very close to all the attractions and museum. We despite our age could walk to all the attractions. Mr Lorenzo was very helpful. .
The reception is located on the first floor. The lift gives you a jerk when it moves.
Fantastic location only 2 mins walk from the Duomo and surrounded by bars and restaurants, great sandwich bar underneath, spacious room, friendly staff, good wi-fi connection
Had to leave key at desk when went out and on one occasion the staff went into our room, turned the air-con off and opened all the windows wide so lots of insects got in, breakfast additional cost, lots of rules but didn't spoil the good bits!
Staff were amazing. So friendly, so welcoming, so helpful. They are brilliant at their job and are just wonderful people. We really enjoyed our stay there. Definitely a great place to stay at in Florence.
- Very clean. - Top location. - Great staff attitude. - The rooms are sound proof with brand new windows (4 layers) and they have pleasant AC units.
Extremely central location and close to the station, however not too loud. Very helpful staff, well working WiFI.
Old style hotel. We travelled with hand luggage, hence no problems with the stairs but something to consider when travelling heavier.
Close to the train station. Roberto and staff were very kind and helpful. Florence is small enough that everything is walkable from there. 5 euro brkfst was very good.
The welcome The View The central location .. handy for everything
Good location, value for money
Large room, large bathroom. Perfect location. Short walk to all major sites. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They even helped us to carry our bags up the first floor! Thank you! We are definitely come back.
Nothing, we loved this hotel!
I was able to get a single room for the price of a hostel dorm, and the location was perfect for walking to all the hot spots in Florence. I could get internet in my room, although the password and username were only good for 24 hrs but they will get you a new one right away. The staff was friendly and ready to help. Also, the tv has a few English channels and a subtitle option, so I was never bored. I also had a fabulous view from my window.
These are most probably a symptom of staying somewhere inexpensive, but the mattress and pillow felt like cardboard boxes stacked up on one another, and though it was later fixed, the water pressure was way too strong when I first got there. Additionally, the hotel is located near a bar, so there was a bit of a noise factor. My only major concern was that on one occasion, housekeeping left my door propped open. Nothing was taken, but I had several valuable items inside that would have been devastating and costly to loose. I informed the owners right away, and they apologized immediately and I'm sure had a discussion with the staff member responsible. I wouldn't hold this last one against them. Mistakes happen.
Location is perfect. Lorenzo and his mum, in fact everyone we met, have been extreme nice to deal with. Especially with the tolerance on the luggage storage after check out. Spotlessly clean toilet. Nice restaurant just right next to the hotel.
The need to climb one flight of stairs at least to get to the reception counter. Gets a bit noisy, noise from the streets, at night even with the windows shut.
Very well located for the major tourist sites , train/bus stations & shopping. Great bar next door for sitting out, watching life go by & having a beer with free tapas. Nice restaurant ' Ciro & Sons ' on next street Via del Giglio.
Although the charge is reasonable ( you get what you pay for) , we were disappointed on arrival to be told that the air conditioning system for the hotel was out of order. The hotel made some allowance & gave us a €29 refund over our 2 night stay.
The location is great, near the staion.
Location and price. Close to station and heart of florence.
Stayed at rm 45. It was noisy as hell. Noise from the lift up down, noise from ppl closing the lift door, noise of ppl walking, noise of ppl closing and opening doors. Woke up several times in the night by such noises. Staff not seem to be very friendly. Need pay 5euros for breakfast but its ok since florence is an expensive place. Booked my hotel 3 mths ago but emailed me a few days b4 to say that the hotel is fully booked, and need to shift me to hotel accademia which is 10m away. It's not a big deal really but still cause minor disruption. They gave me a free breakfast for a day at hotel accademia. But the room in hotel accademia is quiet and cosy.
Staff were lovely, helfpul and friendly. The reception is one floor up and you are pre-warned before booking that there is no porter service but the staff came down and helped me with my bags anyway, I had asked for a high floor with good view and this was accomodated with views of the Dome. Couldn't ask for more central location and I thought this little gem of a hotel was great value for money in the ehart of Florence. I had shared bathroom but never saw anyone else use it over the four days I stayed and the hotel was spotless. Single room was clean and big enough for my needs and good wifi - didn't use TV so can't comment on that. I had a great time in Florence and will happily stay at Hotel Lorena again. Great find and thanks for a lovely stay.
all that I didn't like
plugs to charge mobile and camera, to turn on hair dryer, very bad
