Lucca In Villa Elisa & Gentucca  

Quiet hotel, but within walking distance of the old city.

Good location within walking distance from de old town. Free parking.

This hotel is ideally located for walking to most of Lucca's places of interest, just outside Porta Elisa. We stayed in their second location which is located next door. Our room was large, very clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. Coffee and tea making supplies in the room was an added bonus as was the free water cooler in the hallway. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Very comfortable, quiet accommodation - and we were at the front of the building. Breakfast was the best we had in our 15 days in Italy, with a good choice. Staff were extremely helpful, searching out things for us on the internet, and on the last day they kept our luggage until later. Easy to find from the station - just walk to your right around the wall and after about 15 minutes you will come to an advertising sign on the edge of the pavement which tells you that Viale Armando Diaz is coming up on your right.

The entire facility is lovely, well appointed, and modern, while retaining the old world feel. It is also within easy walking distance of the city wall.

The breakfast food was good, but the room is a bit noisy and plain.

Attractive location. Friendly relaxed atmosphere. Nice garden. Good breakfast. Short walk to central Lucca and about 15 min walk from station. Easy parking at B&B.

No drawers or shelves in bedroom for clothes. (although, there is a generous wardrobe). Slightly noisy on main street.

Location was good. Right across the street from the walled old city. The Help was really helpful. Breakfast was good. With poor street signs, it was hard to find the building. Recommend a really detailed online map with exact directions to the house where you stay. I highly recommend this place for all but luxury travelers.

No problem with establishment. I recommend it. It would be nice if the city had useful street signs making it an easier chore to find the place.

The room and beds were spacious and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, the bathroom and shower were easy to use and pleasant (the best of our three hotels this trip), the breakfast was delicious!

Radiators present in the room but were not working, the airco was weak and could not heat the room properly, too cold.

A nice and clean hotel at an excellent location if you want to explore Historic Lucca.

The room was not the one we booked on booking.com. They changed it later, but the newer rooms were on the other building, and it was freezing all day and night.

Our room was comfortable and very clean. We had two bedrooms and one bathroom. In one of the bedrooms there was the large front terrace. The breakfast was very good. There was bread, salami, prosciutto, cheese, fruit, different types of delicious croissants, cereals, etc. The coffee was excellent and you could have espresso, capuccino, hot chocolate, etc from the coffee machine. There was also a water dispenser and juices. What we liked a lot was that you could grill/toast the bread so that the cheese would melt. Delicious. Another thing which we liked was that although on the last day we had to vacate our room at 11.00am, the manager put our luggage in a special compartment and gave us a key to the house in case they were not there when we came back after 6.30pm.

My dad has cleverly taken the key with us when we had checked out. They were very understanding and kinda and said it was ok that we mailed the key back to them. They even told us not to worry about this when we expressed out apologies. The owner helped us carry our bags all the way up to the 3rd level! Very strong man he carted 2 huge suitcases at the same time! Room was very clean and warm. The deco and design of the room was very nice and modern. We even had a nice big balcony. The breakfast was good and decent

The driveway was extremely narrow. Very difficult to navigate through.

Good location, close to the walled town. Supermarket and restaurants. Free use of the bike which we loved to go riding on the wall and around the area. Very comfortable beds. The staff were helpful.

Rained most days would go another time of year. Breakfast was ok but the coffee machine didn't work most of the time and you only got eggs on weekdays.

Very nice comfortable B&B near Lucca center with free parking. Easy to get in and out of Lucaa for side trips to Pisa or other Tuscan locations. Rooms were clean and roomy with nice bathrooms. Breakfast was good. Viviana was very helpful. Lucca is a interesting beautiful town and Villa Elisa is a great place to stay.

Road Viale Armando Diaz is not very well marked but it's really not that hard to find.

We travelled with our 2 young children and another couple with a baby. The quadruple room we had was spacious and ideal for our family. We even had a balcony so once all the children were asleep we were able to relax with a glass of wine after our day of visiting lucca. The breakfast was also lovely. Great location with parking!

Proximity to Lucca and a main gate- Elisa. A parking space behind the home. Good bed. Quiet room.

The room was very spacious, plenty of room to move around and to place our luggage. There were tea and coffe making facilities (rare in Italy) The bed was comfortable and the pillows were soft (first soft ones we had encountered in Italy. Breakfast was modest, but good. The location was close to wall entry. The staff were very helpful, providing us with a map and recommendations for sights and dining. It was good value for money, and I would go there again if I stayed in Lucca.

Would have been good to have a fridge. No lift, so had to bring our heavy cases up stairs. Towells not changed. Would have liked more fruit options with breakfast. These are only small things, but worth a mention.
