Score from 570 reviews Good
Really great having a kitchen - and well equiped and spacious! Everything else was pretty good.
Shower is bipolar - goes really hot really cold even if you don't touch the tap.
The location is comfortable and clean. The hosts are friendly and helpful. Good value for your money. In particular, we liked the nearby "Pizza Paradise" where you likely get the best pizza in town. If you don't mind walking about 20 mins to the center and roughly 40 mins to the world heritage site, it is just fine.
Quite far from the city center and the main attractions, but pretty close to the airport...
Friendly host - showed how to get to the key points in the city, good English Close to the airport Clean
smell in the room was not good, I guess air condition needs to be cleaned Hard bed Common kitchen ok, but no pots - hard to make some dinner by yourself
-Staff. We where delayed and they waited for us to arrive at 1 am! Still very cheerfull and helpfull. Very patient. -Location. Just a few minute drive from the airport. -Clean and with aicondition.
Nothing worth mentioning.
Good location, clean.
Slightly expensive given that you have to share a communal toilet/bathroom. Also, staff friendly but not present for much of the time.
The kitchen, the possibility to sit in the garden. Around the corner is an authentic Italian bar, only locals. The serve a great negrino.
We came to check in during the hours that there should be a reception. But nobody was there. When I called nobody answered. No sorry... We waited some 2 hours.
The host was very nice. Good value for money. The rooms and bathroom were very clean and nice. Good location: walking distance to the city centre, airport and train station.
In the morning we could hear the planes. The wifi wasn't working in the room on the upper floor.
I stayed for one night and it was good enough. The cost-benifit relation comparing to other options in Pisa. Even the shared toillet was clean and the guy was friendly and gave us a lot of information about Pisa.
The bed was old and very noise.
Matteo was very helpful and waited for us until midnight as our plane was late (there is no 24 hour reception). Walking distance to the airport. Air-conditioning. Comfortable mattresses.
Bed frames are metal and were very squeaky & the noise kept me awake when turning.
Pizzeria in close vicinity
Do not expect too much...Old building converted to guesthouse. The main problem is the heavy smell of humidity and lack of ventillation. Owners must find a solution to this problem asap. Nice kitchen and outdoor back yard but internally the smell is a unbearable at times. The location is dirty and not kept up. Close to airport but still will take around 20 mins to walk which with luggae in hot temp is not ideal. My recommenation is to use only as a sleep over
Staff (host waited two hours after check-in time for us, was very friendly, helpful and to the point); clean room, clean sheets and towels, bathroom shared only with one other room, access to kitchen, location (20 min to train station and 20 to airport).
A bit off the touristic path.
Easy access to a cheep place. One of the cheepest places and one of the simpliest places. We liked it because of the price
If you expect more, pay more ;)
- welcoming of the tenant (he gave us a lot of explanations about Pisa) - cleaned room - very nice room - air conditioning system
a bit far from the city center and restaurants (there is a bus or it's 25 min by walking)
Hotel staff is amazing! I was feeling like at home. There was free coffe. You are close to airport and train station which was so important for us. You are 15-20 mins away from Pisa by Bus. But transportaion was not a big deal.
The only problem: There was bed bugs! Which makes you itchy! I couldnt sleep because of bed bugs...
Wifi good and a lovely garden. Not far from town.
Nice place, everything is clean. Good people
Very noisy, because it is very close to airport.
we love the location, the host is very helpful and nice, rooms and toilets are clean and cosy.
wi-fi on the second floor had weak signal
It's a good place if you are on a budget. All you need for a short stay if you don't mind walking. I would advice to catch a bus from the airport if you want to visit pisa centre
wifi connection is poor if you are staying on the 2nd floor
Great location for the airport
Shared bathroom facilities were outdated
it is close to the airport, so close that you can see plains taking off over the house (15min walk). the room was clean; they only have 4 rooms, so one bathroom is shared with only one other room per floor. a store is close to the house. matteo is nice and helpfull, he also gave us a map of the city and explained how to get there and what we can do in town
it's far from the city center and buses only run until 10h pm. only the bus that goes from the airport to the city center (lam rossa) runs until later but it's hard to find when you want to go back home because they don't have many sings and directions in town. the mosquito net didn't work but they had a thing against mosquitos. wifi doesn't reach the second floor.
due to airport noisy
We were very surprised when we have reached this guest house. We paid so little, that we were expecting something not as nice. Matteo greeted us with impeccable manners! What a lovely host. Place was very clean and smelt nice with light note of incense - could not fault a single thing. Was pleasure to stay in Lumiere and we definitely coming back! Regards from Edita & Osman - Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom.
Nothing to fault.
Very nice host. Despite our lateness he was waiting for us. Available kitchen, and free tea, coffee and cookies ;) Great location, between central railway station and airport. Possibility to leave luggage on the last day. I highly recommend this place.
It was a little bit hard to find Lumiere. It is hard to describe area, but it is not lovely uptown district. Pick this hostel if you are looking for accommodation near the airport. Kitchen facilities are very good. Mateo (the host) is eccentric- be prepared and don't wake him up before 2 p.m :)
very poor WI-fi signal.
Decent place for decent money :) walking distance from the airport so you can rent a car on the other day if you are planning some trip over the Tuscany.
If the bigger plane is flying above the hotel (no problem with the smaller ones) it can wake you up in the morning, however what you pay is what you get :) The owner sometimes forget to put a toilet paper in the bathroom (or our neighbour from the floor used it all before :)
