Best Western Madison Hotel  

Adjacent to the Central Milan railway station, the location of the hotel is ideal and the standard of the rooms and the reception services were much better than yare normally found in 'station' hotels.

There is a bar in the hotel which is lacking in any kind of atmosphere but, worst of all, was that whilstr this 4-star hotel is quite happy to charge Euro 10 for a gin and tonic, it was explained that there was no ice as the ice machine was currently defective. Ok, it can happen but the ice machine had apparently been defective for 3 days. Does it occur to no-one in the management of the hotel that you can buy bags of ice cubes from a multitude of local shops? Apparently not as the only thing that was offered was an apology for there being no ice. I regard this kind of approach in a 4-star hotel as being totally unacceptable and what coudl have been a successful and to be repeated visit to the hotel, is now in doubt a sfar as I am cocnerned.

The location wasa very good only a short walk to the Hotel from the railway station. The staff at the reception desk were very friendly and gave a good recommendation for dinner.

Free internet is barely useable. Paid internet is ok but the fact that there is a facility for enhancement of the internet and it wasn't stated up front on the booking is I believe misleading. (oh, and concerning breakfast, cold scrambled egg is 'yeuck' to an Englishman!)

The front desk staff were wonderful and helpful. They made sure that anything we needed was taken care of with a genuine smile and desire to help.

Although this hotel was near the train station which was something that I had looked for, the area around the train station felt a bit unsafe, especially at night.

Good location, very close to the central train station, which was what we needed (however the city center and the touristic sights are not in walking distance; they are a few metro stops away). The hotel is one of the very few in the area that provides free Internet, and this is why we chose it. The staff was nice and helpful.

No major complaints about the hotel, but there wasn't anything that I particularly liked either (breakfast was ok but nothing particularly good, the bathroom was cold because the window was not well isolated).

Too small room

The staff were very pleasant + helpful. The location is close to train terminal which was what we were after as we had to leave by plane the next morning. The hotel room was quiet + newly furnished. We were very happy with the hotel

The hotel was in a quieter side of the train terminal. Not a very attractive area. We would be more concerned if we were solo traveller

Overall we had no complaints. Our stay in Milan was just for one night and we chose the hotel because of its location near the central station and would certain select the hotel on next trip to the city.

Room was a little small and main entrance door was slightly damaged. Also tried to key in code for safe but it did not work and then we could not get the safe door to close. As we were only staying the one night this was not a huge issue as we had already given our passports to the receptionist.

Location is superb: just a 5-minute walk from the Milano Centrale train station. Wi-fi is free and works very well. Breakfast room is charming and cheery.

Noisy water piping system at night that hinders a good sleep.

Locatioin iss very good if you need to stay close to the Central Station. Many places around to go out for a dinner. Undeground station is also very close.

Hotel doesnt have nothing to do with 4 stars. Very very small room, only one towel in the bathroom, pure breakfast, old TV.
