Hotel Magdalener Hof  

Lovely setting, food v good and great head waiter who was very helpful. Views great -lovely outside space -terrace, pool area and garden. Would definately go again.

Room slightly small Quite a walk back up the hill from the town which is fine in the day but not so inviting in the evening. However made up for by the more rural location between two hills which made you feel you weren't in a town.

The location was excellent. Out of the main press of Bolzano, it was only about 1 mile away - a very easy bus ride or a pleasant walk in nice weather. Conversely, that meant available parking and easy access to the road up to Soprabolzano (Oberbozen). Our room opened out to the garden and views of the valley. Spectacular. Yes, the train tracks and autostrade are in the valley, but one would have to work hard at being annoyed to notice and be bothered by them.

Stayed two nights in a family room. It had nice view with balcony, sufficient space for four of us, and a cozy restaurant with a lot of guests. Quiet location, five minutes drive from the city centre.

Lighting in the guest room was not sufficient.

A total surprise - great facilities, good restaurant, good parking

The cleanliness of the rooms is immaculate. The quality of the food in the restaurant is excellent; across a wide range of dishes from fine dining to affordable pizzas (dedicated pizza chef in his own kitchen). Reassuring to see locals using the hotel restaurant as here. Pool excellent. A beautiful room. Charming and helpful staff across the board. Our 2nd visit - we hope to be back. Superb location for a short stopover on the way to/from Itlian Lakes but we stayed a week! Loved it. Not another Brit in sight. Wi-Fi is now free too (though best in the bar)

Only the loud Italian woman in the next room who probably could have dispensed with the mobile phone clamped to her ear most of the time - to be honest I'm sure they could have heard her wherever they were without it - we could. Her poor son! - Nothing the Hotel could do anything about her though! Wi-Fi iffy in the room but we were in the mountains and two relays between us and the router - bar was fine

There were lots of family/kids, and a nice small swimming pool with a great view. It was a bit of a walk to town, but lovely really. My room was right above the restaurant and un-airconditioned, so I had to leave my door open and there was loud conversation until after midnight.

Friendly staff - good room - nice restaurant plus good service and value.

Offener Wein konnte/ durfte nicht vor Auswahl verkostet werden Teppichboden im Zimmer

Eine übernachtung im Hotel Magdalener Hof ist hervorragend geeignet, Bozen kennenzulernen. Die Entfernung vom Zentrum ist gering, und trotzdem kann man die Sonne, ein hervorragendes Frühstück und Abendessen inmitten von Weinreben genießen. Da das Hotel unweit der Autobahn und Gleise liegt, hat man nachts ein paar Nebengeräusche, die man jedoch mit geeigneten Ohrstöpseln ausblenden kann. Darüber hinaus lohnt sich von dort eine Fahrt nach Oberbozen durch herrliche Weinberge und Apfelplantagen mit grandiosen Aussichten auf Bozen und Umgebung. Sauberkeit und Service waren hervorragend!
