Hotel Magenta  

The staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The hotel was clean and had been decorated in a modern style which was nice. A short walk to the Arno and then into the beauty of Florence, so very convenient location. Lovely cappuccino in the morning. Big multi-storey carpark around the corner so car was safe and out of the way. The room was a good size, very comfortable bed and nicely decorated.

These are small points and they would not put me off staying again, but maybe not for so long. It would be an ideal place for a 1 or 2 night stay. The room had 3 hangers in the wardrobe, no plug in the sink and only one pillow each, so I went and asked for these which was fine and the staff were lovely, but it was a 'moany' start to our stay. Second day the air-con broke down in the room, again the staff were very helpful and lovely, but it didn't get fixed. So for 2 nights we had a fan and then we got moved on the 4th night...great...but the loo cistern was leaking in that room. This was just funny by now and we didn't bother to complain as we were leaving the next day. Lastly, the breakfasts were poor. Same croissants and stale rolls everyday, but lovely waitress and coffee. Such a shame, lots of small things. The hotel has been decorated but not properly renovated, so everything feels a bit like its about to break or its already a bit old and knackered under a layer of newness. However, I would still recommend it and I would go again....lovely staff and comfy bed.

Good location, near to train station. Staff very helpful.Room was very spacious and upgraded recently.Hotel signs not readily visble. Very near to halal restaurants.

Staff were very pleasant and spoke very good english. The room was comfortable and provided everything we needed. Easy walk to the train station even with bags in tow

Excellent service by staff, wifi in room, easily walkable to Florence city center, great value for the price.

Small showers, noisy between rooms, have to pay 20 pay 20 euros/night for parking.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Nice clean room. Hotel is very central to everything eg: the markets, train station, shops, restaurants. Ten minute walk to Santa Spirito Square where there are good, usually cheaper restaurants/cafes to eat at.

Breakfast very basic but at least included in your room rate.

Excellent location and a good hotel, especially for the price compared to other Florence hotels. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast included in the rate.

One of our two rooms had air conditioning problems and was hot. Staff looked at it but couldn't fix it. One toilet had some flushing problems.

Location

The staff of the hotel are really welcoming, careful and helpful. The hotel is very clean and 5 min walking to the city centre.

There should be hairdryer in the rooms.

Friendly owners really made the stay very pleasant.

Fiquei hospedada por uma semana, fui muito bem recebida, sao muito atenciosos e gentis. Café da manha bom....bem servido.
