Heater is not work Bed is uncomfoterble
The owner of the place does not care even a bit about the customers, but about the money. He charged us extra (and quite an amount!!) for arriving after the check in time. When we arrived at the place, the doors were closed and there was nobody! What a nightmare!!! We were punished because of the owner's mistake. Moreover, he was rude. Another couple wanted to check out one day and they knocked the doors of the customers one by one waking them up as they did not know what to do. Even though it was 8:10am, there was nobody to check out!! I hope they didn't miss their flight or anything! The rooms are so cold, the electricity cuts off whenever you plug a hairdryer or your mobile phone in!!! So, don't risk your schedule, don't waste your money, and most importantly don't stress yourself out! You can definitely find a much better place for the same price, and actually for even cheaper!!!
The location is perfect.
It was very cold, "one big bed" in double room was made of two single beds, so it was very uncomfortable in the middle of it.
Most kind staff. Very close to a metro/subway/udeground stations and the railway station Termini. Twenty minutes walk from the old town. Huge bed.
Neighborhood seems not very safe in the evening (but nothing bad had happened). A little bit noisy but hey, you're in the Italy ;)
location price room
fridge broken only one key available reception only available at day time
Right next to santa maria maggiore, mini market around the corner selling cheap prosecco!
Bit of traffic noise and from cafes below and opposite building.
The location of this guesthouse is excellent, Santa Maria Maggiore is literally next door. Most of the famous landscapes are also well within walking distance. All in all, B&B Maggiore is one of the cheapest accomodations in Rome with a perfect location. Still, I would only recomment it in the summer, and only if you're planning spend most of your time in the city.
Wifi signal is weak. On the first night, there was no heating at all. None. I'm not sure what the problem was, because when I asked, I was told that the heating is turned on and we didn't touch any of the radiators. On our last night I discovered two huge (about 10 cm diameter) holes in the wall facing the bed, looking directly at the streets of Rome. They were covered with a sheet of paper as insulation, but you can imagie our dismay when we saw it.
The location was superb, less than 10 min walk to termini station and about 20 min to the Colluseum. It was a clean and big enough room with fridge, towels and window into the courtyard.
The bathroom was a bit smelly.
Room was quite cold No kettle on room Towels very small
Great location. We were relocated to the new hotel block which provided free wifii and a large room.
Poor heating - quite a big problem when the temperature drops to abnormal levels in winter.
Only location was good and nothing else
It was cold. No heating system! Room was tiny and we asked for blankets like 3 times. At the last day they brought some lousy blankets. No wifi in the room. Totally wouldn't stay here again.
First of all it's a bed & breakfast that doesn't serve breakfast! What a joke! They also don't change the towels and don't replace the toilet paper, so for me it was more like a private room in a HOSTEL not a B&B! The reception is always closed, which was a problem because there was no one I could complain about the other guests that were really noisy. There were some people screaming and having sex in the hall at 3am!! Around 6am when I left the hotel I noticed that there were also some people smoking inside the rooms. This place is a dump!
Hotel is close to the Termini train station.
personel with who I have contact barely speak english
Nice big room, clean, very helpful staff, location excellent, great value for money
A little bit tricky to find
Big room TV Refrigerator Clean rooms Helpful staff (amazing both of them) The room was lovely, and it suited out stay in Rome. The staff were very friendly (unlike most people in Rome).
No kettle Pillows were too flat Not enough sign posts for hotel Albeit a lovely B&B, it just needed a few extras to be up to standard with others, like a kettle and to have the heating on when it got cold.
Centrally located. Comfortable room. Staff was very accommodating.
A bit hard to find at first. There's no large sign out front. Glad I looked at Google Maps street view to identify the building. The ringer is among others on, just find B&B Maggiore. Glad we found it. Very satisfying. Thank you!
The hotel is in front of st Maggiore church. Good ilumination in front of the build and close to Termini Station. The room was large and clean. Giuliano was great on helping us when we had doubts. We had the key from the outside door, so we were completely free to come on or get put whenever we wanted.
We asked for a double room, and we received two single beds together, and during the night they got separated. Very uncomfortable. There was no receptionist during the night.
Location excelent, good restaurants near by, gelatarias, coofee shops
The lockers are old and sometime give you some problems. There are no safe lockers in the room
Location and staff.
Very thin on amenities!
Good location, good price
No attention to clients
Good location about 5 mins from Termini.
It's not a B&B, name is a little misleading. Shower leaked and bathroom door didn't close.
Close to city sites Lift available as we had heavy suitcases
Small room Tiny bathroom Noisy overlooking a restaurant that was busy and open late Very uncomfortable bed and pillows Bed was a twin size (for 2 adults) and we were told all beds were the same size Debited my credit card on reservation, not on arrival as stated
the staff were worse than anything eles. very bad and rude
This was my second time staying at B&B Maggiore. The staff offered to help us carry our stuff up the stairs, and there was a lift. No AC, but having the windows open was perfect. It's in a great location. If you're looking at the front of Santa Maria Maggiore church, it's on the left next to a coffee shop.
Wifi works in the sitting room, but not the rooms. They don't advertise it working in the rooms though.
Before we arrived, the reception did send us a email said an additional fee would be charged when check-in later then 7 pm. But after I replied the email ask about how much for that, and how to avoid that fee, nobody relied me. And then I made several phone calls, but no one picked up. Finally, when we came to the hotel at 7:30 pm, they charged us a 20 € fee. I think that was unfair when the fee for each night was only 48 €.
