This is a charming, and quaint inn tucked away in the medieval quarters of Ortigia, Sircusa. It was not the easiest place to find, but everyone was so helpful in navigating its exact whereabouts. Loved the people running the show here--and the breakfast was quite a spread. Recommend whole-heartedly.
nice decoration big bed
no staff for check in when arriving in the afternoon noisy neighbours talking n laughing loudly just next to the room for the whole evening
Friendly staff. Good location. Clean.
I had the front ground floor room in the courtyard. The neighbours would sit out in the courtyard till at least 1130 pm talking and sometimes crying noisy kids. Apart from this, it was good, so don't take the front room.
The location is very central but quiet exept for talking neighbors but this comes with being in the old town. We arrived very late due to train problems but somebody came extra to open us up. Breakfast buffet is small but has great atmosphere.
Being in ortigia rooms are very small and there are steep steps. It is not suited for elderly or very heavy people. Generally not for anybody over 65
Lovely place. Beautifully decorated in a traditional Sicilian house. Friendly staff and a great location. Everything you need for a pleasant stay in Suracusa.
Breakfast wasn't amazing, but my inpression is that Italians generally aren't big a breakfast people so no really fault of the hotel.
The staff is lovely, very nice room, excellent location and good breakfast.
The environment is far too noisy and we couldn't rest properly throughout all our stay. This is due too noisy neighbours and no soundproof windows/doors.
The staff were all very friendly.
The B&B was noisy with small children in the courtyard outside our window. Bed was very hard and room tiny .
good location, breakfast ok but not the best we had in Sicily (in the same price range)
we asked for a quiet room in the back and instead we got the room under the breakfast terrace which meant a lof of noise from 7.30am. Credit card payments "didn't work" so we had to scrape all our cash together and an invoice was also not offered. Upon asking we got a hand written note we paid but this was clearly not appreciated. Surcharge for espresso coffee at breakfast
The style of rooms were very traditional in style (Sicilian) and had a lot of character and charm. The cleanliness of the rooms were flawless. The breakfast on the roof top terrace was delicious!
The room we has was at the back and consequently a bit low om light. Those at the front seem to have more light. The bathroom was great and the breakfast on the terrace was lovely - if it didn't rain! The staff were very helpful and really pleasant, and the location could not be better. Really close to the Piazza Archimede and the centre of things, but very quiet
Try to get a ground floor room at the front. Don't be worried about noise - there isn't any
excelent choice , beautifull city
no parking at the Hotel , you need to park around , but Siracusa is an old city , so you have no other choice
The hotel was in a great location for getting everywhere off and on the island. Breakfast was served a a pretty roof top balcony, and the food was excellent. The room was not huge, but typically Sicilian, and scrupulously clean. A quiet venue perfect for our stay.
Very personal and dedicated staff. Right in the middle of everything. Cozy rooftop.
Great breakfast! Very nice staff, clean!
Wonderful central location, with excellent room size and features. Wonderful, home-cooked Italian breakfast, and Very friendly staff.
Hosts were warm and welcoming. Homemade breakfast treats and freshly squeezed OJ.
Mattresses were too hard
Excellent stay. Anacleto was very accommodating, showing up late to check us in as we arrived after regular business hours, providing maps and insights into the best local restaurants. Breakfast was great on the rooftop terrace. Location is great in a little back road off the main streets but Ortigia is so small, everything is within a short 10 min walk or less.
Friendly, helpful staff, great breakfast on rooftop terrace, convenient location near Ortigia sites.
Parking difficult, bed squeaked, steep stairs.
The male owner was quite rude.
This is a rather simple but spotless B&B in a place where it's always difficult to find reasonable accommodations. It's not on the water but location is otherwise fine and quiet.. Owners are lovely and very helpful..
Cosy atmosphere in historical environment of Ortygia. Good facilities. Nice Breakfast. English speaking and helpful proprietors.
Not reachable by car. Parking is a general problem in Ortygia.
Everything.The breakfast was SUPERB.
The size of the room, no elevator and parking.
Staff very helpful. Enjoyed position in narrow side street so typical of many Italian cities
*very clean and stylish *hairdryer with power *friendly and helpful staff *very close to the town beach *excellent location
*poor internet connection *very small shower cabin
While in theory the B&B is in Ortygia, it is actually located in a desolate and run down area, far away fom the tourist interests, in an area which is devoid of people traffic; with some shady looking man linning up the dark corners and stray dogs roaming the streets with piles of garbage alongside. Coming to B&B in the evening is a scarry experience. Would not recommend to women or families.
Poorly located and very badly managed. The manger was not only rude, he tried to extort us -- when we refused to pay him alomst double the rate found in our printed booking, he used thinly veiled threats of calling police, trying to assert that he is not sure if our passports are Ok, etc, all with the goal of us ageeing to pay him a higher price. The worst experience in our two week stay in Sicily. Add to that tiny rooms, moldy and gross showers covered by black mold, steep stairs (no lift or a help with luggage) - this is not a pleasant experience.
