Nice location, super helpful owner lady. Best morning cappuccino:-) Vittorio emannuelle metro just across the road. Nice 3 night stay
Small toilet and room size.
The location was great within walking distance of the Colussium/Forum and steps from the Metro. The staff was accommodating.
Finding the front door and getting to reception was not easy the first time around (at least when tired from travel).
The stuff, the greeting, the capucino with the breakfast, the location.
Weak wifi signal, but it depends on the room you are staying.
Everything! Great location to start Rome.
Good value and location
Hard to find.
I really like the location. I was able to immerse myself in the daily life of the working class in the city of Rome.
I didn't expect a B&B like in the States, however, this was a big disappointment in terms of housekeeping. It is not dirty, but I expected someone to at least tidy up daily and pick up the trash.
run down location, poor wifi, no common area, hard to access, hard to find, not really a hotel, not well maintained. Way too expensive for what it is.
Really nice place, we chosen a room with view on inside of the bulding and it was very quiet during night. room was big and clean with comfort bed. We liked the simple breakfast with coffee and 3 or 4 big sweet crossaints ;) . wifi and AC working fine as well. location very good, close to station and colloseum, we did not have to use public transport to see the whole city.
hard to find any disadvantages. there were only minor things like small shower cabin and water temperature which was suddenly chaning during shower. Price could be bit lower but it seems to be fair comparing to other places in Rome.
The location was perfect for walking to colosseum, forum, and other sites. The receptionist was friendly and helpful.
B&B is convenietely located , 1 stop from termini (walking 10 min ) and distance is walkable to all sights. The room is big, clean, batrhoom spacios. Your capuccino and crassant delivered to bed
It is a bit noisy, the rooms are on the main road
We stayed here for one night as we had to catch a train early the next morning. We found the staff very friendly, the room basic but very clean. They gave us a good restaurant recommendation, and make really wonderful cappucinos in the mornings, which they bring to your room! It was in a busy area but quite quiet, as the hotel is away from the street.
Owner very friendly and helpful. Room very clean. Air Con that wasn't a noisy as had to have on as weather was warm and street noise meant windows had to be closed.
Hallway smelt of B.O and cigarette smoke.
The breakfast is amazingly good! Enjoy a typic Italian breakfast! It is extremely close to the tube station!
One stop from Termini. Metro stop half a block away. Half an hour walk to most sites. Betty is very helpful.
Hard to find if you are unfamiliar with Plaza Victorio Emmanuel. Located in an apartment building, and you need keys at many times to get into building, the elevator and the front door of the "hotel." A bare bones operation, good for young folks on limited budget, but probably not husbands and wives, much less families.
Cleanliness Breakfast was ok
neighborhood. Noisy from traffic most the night. Front door was suspicious and hard to locate. 4 keys to get in didn't make me comfortable.
security, cleanliness, nice breakfast
Staff was excellent- met us for late check-in, provided a simple delicious breakfast, gave travel advice for the vicinity. Room was simple and clean with a nice view. Price cannot be beat! We will stay at Hotel Maikol again, given the chance!
Wifi was spotty and weak in the end room. For 65 euro a night, if that is my main complaint it should tell you what a great overall experience this hotel was!
Across the street from a beautiful park. Manager was helpful.
Hotel was difficult to find, area in front of hotel was cluttered with vendors selling merchandise off of tables. Graffiti all over, not the best location. Breakfast was croissants coffee and juice first day and we left early 2nd day and just got coffee.
Location So helpful great Staff Large room
Elevator broken while we were there so lots of stairs
Great price for the location, very close to the termini train station and walking distance to the colloseum, it was extremely hot during our visit to rome, the room had great air conditioning which was great to come home to at the end of the day
The Wi Fi was very bad, it didn't show up on my husband's ipad at all, I had to sit right near the door to get a small bit of Wi Fi on my phone, this was really the only negative though about our stay.
The staff were super helpful, friendly, accommodating. The room was basic but perfectly comfortable, the morning coffee was great.
It was a touch hard to find late at night the first time.
one metro stop from termini very friendly and helpful staff close to restaurants and shopping wifi worked well breakfast served in room :)
towels smelled faintly of smoke for those sensitive to smells
Location - very close to buses, metro & good restaurants Staff - very accommodating Spacious room
elevator was not working for 3 days so we had to climb 82 stairs. NOT the hotel problem
Close to the train terminal.
Sign was to small. Since it was located on second floor it was hard to find
We liked the location; it was a quick walk from the Roma Termini train station when we arrived, it is right next to a metro stop, and it is less than 15 minutes' walk to the Colosseum. It was very nice to get breakfast and coffee delivered to the room! In the evenings, we were easily able to find a few good, inexpensive pizza places within a short walk. Overall, we were happy with the convenience and value of the hotel and the welcome we received.
