This hotel is in a beautiful location on the Navigli canal. At night you can walk to many restaurants and bars. Our room was very comfortable and clean and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful.
architecture -location (many good restaurants by the canal side)
the music from the restaurant was bothering us as we had a room on the 1st floor
location, staff , comfort
We had a beautiful room in an adjacent building to the main hotel which we chose for the quietness because we were aware of this bustling night time area. The bed was huge, comfortable and good quality linen. The bathroom was excellent and there were tea and coffee making facilities which seems to be a rare treat these days in hotel rooms. The staff were courteous and helpful. Breakfast was buffet style and had plenty of choice. We enjoy walking and it takes about 30 minutes to walk to the Duomo.
The hotels beauty and simplicity. We liked the furnishings, the mixture of stone, brick and original features which all blend in very well to give it a warmth and simple beauty and a rustic feel. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was good too.
Our extractor fan didn't seem to be working in the bathroom which was a bit annoying because there is no other ventilation in the bathroom. Also I had emailed the hotel before our trip to say that it was a special trip for us, our Ruby wedding anniversary. I had half expected some little gesture from them to congratulate us but it wasn't acknowledged.
Location, design, quality of service. The communicating layout of the lounge area, bar, dining/breakfast room provides for a fluid relaxing environment.
There was a bit of construction noise the first day of the stay probably due to the Navigli area's repavement works currently being carried.
Our room overlooked the canal and street. Yes, the street is lively and lite up at night, which added to our experience in Milan. When we wanted to sleep we closed the doors, which blocked out the liveliness of night! The staff were friendly and very helplul with all guestions asked. Opened doors, arranged taxis, suggestions for dinner, etc. Breakfast was substantial and very good. Capichino, aah!
We couldn't stay longer. Other reviews complaining about the street repair. Street repair goes on everywhere! This should not reflect negatively on your stay at MB.
Location, hotel is very modern .
Great hotel, friendly and helpful staff, great valyue
Navigli area is undergoing large scale construction - but still nice. Should be even nicer once completed.
everything, soovitan !!
nothing to dislike (suurepärane hotell)
location bar area room was very large with comfortable bed fast wi-fi
Most staff were helpful, but occasionally response to information requests was lacklustre.
Elegant décor. High wooden ceiling in room. Good location for local bars, restaurants and artisan shopping. Close to Metro station. Good choice for breakfast. Only a short walk to the city center.
Some building work nearby. Not much choice of channels on the TV.
Location ,was perfect especially close to family I was visiting !! A nice walk to the 'Duomo ' 15mins only, perhaps longer if you are window shopping ! Plenty of nice bars & restaurants along the canal to choose from .
Would have liked a hot option for breakfast , omelette or scrambled eggs bacon would perhaps be a good idea ! Grazie Mille
Maison Borella is a neighborhood hotel which combines elegance with an old flavor. It is modern but has old touches...antique furniture in the halls. There is a computer to use in the hall. We had a rooftop room which was unusual and unique. The breakfast was stellar! They had wonderful pastries, quiches, fruit, yogurt, granola, and more. We ate at a lovely restaurant next door. The staff was professional and helpful.

Difficult access by car. Expensive parking (25€ per day!!!)
Location in front of canal, near metro and lots of restaurants and shops. Hotel offers bathrobes, slippers and had an excellent shower. Breakfast was varied and the food was very good.
No negatives, highly recommend!
The breakfast, staff, cuteness, location...it was all excellent!
Great boutique hotel, clean, cozy and in a good location in the "navigli" area which is full of restaurants and cafés filled with a cool young crowd. Staff was helpful with each and every request we had.
The only "off" thing is that in front of the hotel there are some street works ongoing, and the small canal is very dirty. Hopefully this will be sorted out soon because this beautiful hotel is situated right on top of this mess!
Location (its not close to Duomo, but great to experience a less-touristy side of Milan); the hotel itself is modern and set around a pretty courtyard; value - i found this to be alot cheaper than staying centrally and was very happy with our decision.
Easy to get to from Milan Centrale. Check-in staff were excellent, very helpful, room was beautiful, and had the garden restaurant to ourselves! Awesome staff/service.
Unfortunately there were roadworks happening right outside our hotel window! Not the fault of the hotel but made it noisy and ruined the ambience!
Very clean, charming hotel with good restaurants close by.
Noisy renovation on the street just in front of the hotel and in the whole area. Luckily we had a room with a court view (very quiet).
Warm welcome from staff. Local area, with great bars & restaurants
Only being able to stay one night
A beautiful hotel, very clean and very comfortable. The staff very polite and very helpful. Good breakfast.
Everything, especially helpful and friendly staff
Great part of Milan. Close to station & canal in an interesting, old & quirky area. We really enjoyed the location. Staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast was good in lovely surroundings.
Nothing to dislike.
