Majestic Palace  

Only 20 mins leisurely walk to the centre of Sorrento without Sorrento prices! The food in the restaurant was very good although we only ate there once. The staff were friendly and helpful, without exception. Our toilet stopped working during out stay but was fixed immediately. I would recommend this hotel.

The toilet was not as clean as I would have liked - I don't think the seat had not been lifted by the cleaner.

Great staff - helpful and friendly. Lovely big room with stunning views of Vesuvius etc. Nice spacious and well furnished public areas. Great breakfast. Nice pool, very clean and also really nice additional sunbathing areas on the roof etc. Nice balance of italian visitors and tourists from elsewhere. We tend not to go back to places but this is one hotel we may return to in a different season. Really nice relaxed, friendly vibe.

There wasnt really anything we enjoyed about our stay at the Majestic Palace. They put a very bad taste in our mouth. I do not reccommend this hotel! See my reason for my disapproval of this hotel.

The rudeness of the staff. We were maliciously scolded for having outside food delivered to the hotel. They verbally, in a very rude and obnoxious way, advised us that it was not allowed to have outside food in the hotel and that "this was very bad and not good for business." The reason they said was "Because if the food would make us sick and if we went to the hospital, the hospital staff would ask where we were staying. And we would say the Majestic Palace. And saying this would give the hotel a bad name in that they serve bad food." So I said, "All tourists only eat at the hotels they are staying at? If so, how does the local restaurants stay in business if "you're not allowed to eat at them?" " So then I asked for the food, which I already paid for and included 3 small pizzas, 3 deserts and a large bottle of water. After a 2-3 minute verbal assault by the staff, they gave me the 3 pizzas. I asked for the rest of it and they said "There wasn't anything else delivered." I advised them that there was dessert and water and told them to go check. They came back with the dessert. I then again asked for the water again and they said "There wasn't anything else delivered." I said there was water go look for it. They then came back with the water. I was standing at the front desk for approximately 3 minutes. The food was delivered to the front desk 5 minutes prior. How did the attendant "forget" or "misplace" my order. They were doing it on purpose. I cant express how mad I was. It truly ruined our stay at the hotel!!!!!!! And this was 4 hours after our arrival to the hotel. And no I didn't complain.... Why? Because the abuse came from a manager of the hotel! I do not reccommend this hotel!

La amplitud de las habitaciones y de los lugares comunes del Hotel. No hicimos uso de las instalaciones de piscina y su entorno por no ser la temporada acorde.

El desayuno no es acorde con la categoría del Hotel. Poca variedad y baja calidad.

Disponibilità di alcune persone dello staff, vicinanza ai servizi dei mezzi di trasporto e al centro di Sorrento.

Camera piccola, arredamento vecchio e insufficiente. Le foto dell'hotel su Booking, sia interne che esterne, non corrispondono alla realtà e alterano le caratteristiche dell'hotel rendendolo più bello e grande di quello che è, soprattutto la piscina e le camere. Rapporto qualità/prezzo alta.

Un hotel foarte vechi, are cam doua stele cu indulgenta, miroase urat, peretii sun mucegaiti, mobilier vechi cu miros urat, nu am putut sa-mi pun hainele in dulap. Apogeul a fost atins atunci cand m-am trezit intr-o dimineata in pat plina de furnici care m-au ciupit toata noaptea. Personalul mi-a raspuns cu nesimtire ca erau doar cateva, dar camera si baia erau pline cu furnici. Restaurantul vechi cu miros, vasele in care pastrau mancarea erau ruginite!!! am avut noroc ca nu m-am imbolnavit, dar nici nu am mancat, am baut doar o cafea la micul dejun.

Habitaciones e instalaciones amplias, piscina y jardín estupendos.

Qualité du service

Musique très forte autour de la piscine. Hôtel de grande taille et en situation très urbaine.

Very Grand. Nice pool area. Very pleasant surroundings. Nice balcony with view of hills. Great bed and good linens.

fruniture in th eroom was tatty. Awkward drawers and scruffy closets. Ants in the bathroom. CLeaner did not clean properly any day (things found behind appliances that had been dropped days before. Bath should have a handrail. The garden area was unkept. WHat a pity! It could have been so pleasant; Too much piped English language music. If we are in Italy we want to hear Italian music.

Outdoor pool was good for my kids to swim together after enjoying beach.

Staff was not kind to non-italian tourists.

Very laid back and relaxed. Lovely setting. Staff really nice, not as noisy as other parts of sorrento. Close to all transport.

Wish the pool was open a bit longer, closed at 18.30 so couldn't use if out sightseeing.
