Hotel MalibranCannaregio 5864, Cannaregio, 30131 Venice (Show map) Good, Score from 208 reviews“The staff were excellent throughout, the restaurant at the hotel was wonderful and the location superb. Lovely place to stay. ”
Catherine,
Edinburgh
Hotel Malibran is less than a 5 minute walk from the Rialto Bridge. It is close to the Grand Canal and has easy access around Venice via Vaporetto (water bus). The staff are helpful, friendly, and always available to offer valuable tourist advice. Your stay at the Malibran Hotel is not complete without a meal at the fine restaurant. In good weather, enjoy your meal outside in the square. Hotel Rooms: 29

The room was bigger than expected. The bathroom too. And it is quite near to Rialto. The flooring wasn't that good as some tiles seemed loose. During our stay, the water in the sink also didn't flow well.

The room was not in the main building: 3rd floor without elevator! Actually the bed was a sofa bed. The tv has just 3 national channels and the cnn. The furnishings are quite old and in the bathroom you'll find the strangest solution I have ever seen: the wc was foldaway (see users pictures). The breakfast was just sufficient. All these things are not explained on the booking.com site.

Very convenient location. Quiet. Air conditioned. Attentive staff. Pleasant outdoor eating areas Slightly down at heel. Restaurant food middling. Bathroom dark and pokey. I'm not really sure whether our double room was "superior", it was ok but not marvellous.

Very close to Rialto The rooms were very uncomfortable. Old should'nt has be bad, but at Malibran it is, unfortunately. No room service. No soundproof walls. No wi-fi, poor gsm coverage. Prices are high for this level of quality.

Really enjoyed the setting and the staff. We had a nice quiet room with a view of the courtyard outside the entrance. Good location for our purpose, wandering the city primarily on foot. The restaurant was excellent for dinner, and for the included breakfast. The concierge arranged a spur of the moment gondola ride for us at a good rate, and was able to answer all of our questions to our satisfaction. We would certainly stay here again during a repeat visit to Venice! The fold-out bed provided for our teenage daughter had a very uncomfortable frame. Moving the mattress to the floor solved the problem. I must emphasize that this was a minor concern during what was an excellent stay.

The situation within Venice - very handy; the quiet situation of the Hotel, very close to the Rialto Bridge but off the beaten track; the breakfast was very good and generous; the staff were very helpful and accommodating; the cleaning staff worked to a high standard to keep the rooms clean and fresh. I booked a specific single room online and it appeared that you had a choice which was not available on arrival; the bathrooms were very pokey and it was difficult to manoeuvre in the shower without the curtains sticking to you; two of the rooms I subsequently booked for my children were very smelly; as a solo traveller (although meeting with family for 2 days) I felt very out on a limb and not as welcome as I would have hoped.

Location: Promixity. Location is excellent, and proximate to two water bus stops. Pretty easy to get to relative to many Venice locations. Staff: Responsive to questions Cost: Not terribly expensive and adequate if you're not going to spend time in room. Breakast: Very poor breakfast. For example, no oj, but other juices. Some food was plain not tasty. Room: Solo room is like a ships cabin. I got slightly hurt using such a small space. I could not spend any non-sleeping time in room it was very small.

Great location, clean and great breakfast! We booked a triple room and it was bigger than we expected. I got slightly lost and it took at least 30mins to find the property. As I came off a water taxi from the airport I followed instructions but there are 4 stops at Rialto so the instructions didn't state which stop the instructions were based from. Managed to find eventually, so this was fine.
