Overlooking the archaeological ruins of Capaccio-Paestum, Hotel dei Templi is a historic property with a characteristic stone façade and classically furnished rooms.
Score from 204 reviews Wonderful
Mec Paestum Hotel is situated just a 5-minute walk from the beach and 800 metres from the UNESCO World Heritage archaeological site and the National Archaeological Museum in Paestum.
Score from 131 reviews Very good
Facing the ancient walls of archaeological Paestum, the Delle Rose is the only hotel in the historic centre. All rooms are en suite, and the restaurant serves local and international dishes.

Offering free Wi-Fi and free bike rental, B&B Tra Monti e Mare is located in Ogliastro Cilento, 7 km from Agropoli. This family-run property features modern rooms with air conditioning.
Score from 12 reviews Exceptional
The location is wonderful, views from the sea facing rooms quite stunning, particularly at sunset!. The family and staff were all most helpful; great dining, superb, home made food. Paestum archeological site within easy reach. Drives up to the Cilento mountains offer great views and pretty borgo villages.
Shame about the Paestum village. Not much to recommend it by.
Great views Right on the beach Staff couldn't be more helpful
Breakfast was poor Not much choice other than fish on menu for dinner
Everything....a traditional hotel on the beach but a two minute car ride or 10 minute bike ride from one of the wonders of the world...Paestum a complete Greek..Roman city..that you can walkthrough... an unforgettable experience. The museum attached brings out the magic of this unique and ancient place by providing countless artefacts and their stories... all recovered from this site.If you tire of archaeology..there is the wonderful Vannulo. Buffalo farm to visit. We wish we had had more time and would love to go back..one day.
Great view from balcony
BEAUTIFUL hotel right on the beach! Nice size rooms and bathroom, very clean. Nice breakfast buffet, savory and sweet items. Wonderful hospitality -- Rita was so welcoming, helpful and accommodating -- made our stay extra nice. Speaks perfect English. Wish we could have stayed longer-- definitely coming back for longer stay. Highly recommend!
Everything was great
Location, and the Staff very nice family, the Restaurant very good....
the facilitys on the Toilette the door of the shower was broken and we where a group of 3 and the room should be ready for 3 with everything toawels for everyone ans things like that...........small things.........
The location is fabulous and the staff very accommodating. The owner and his son even drove us around. The restaurant was outstanding with very good food.
The rooms are old , clean, but dated. Although he restaurant was very good we felt the prices were quite a bit on the high side.
Great ocean view from balcony, room clean and bed comfortable, staff willing to give advice, large hotel with all amenities that we required, very quiet when we were there in Oct think area would be very busy tourist season as full of a amusement parks etc
Nothing at all really, parking a bit tight for our car, this is the case all over Italy.
We liked everything about this hotel. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The facilities are very good. The location on the beach is superb and within a very reasonable walking distance to the Paestum ruins, museum, shops, and restaurants and to local farms that produce and sell the buffalo mozzarella cheese for which the region is known. The meals at the hotel and its restaurant are exceptional both for the quality of the food and the service. This was our second time staying at the hotel and we will definitely return.
The room is very comfortable and nice with a view of sea.
The breakfast could be improved a bit.
Nice location on the beach. Good restaurant and facilities.
Air conditioning was not very effective in our room.
The hotel is clean and well situated next to the beach.
I've been traveling for almost 6 months now and realise the importance of helping others with realistic and honest reviews. So much of booking hotels is reading between the lines. Here is an honest review of the Mandetta Hotel. We booked an apartment at the Mandetta Hotel for two nights. We were keen on an apartment to cook a little and have some space. When we arrived, the friendly and professional staff immediately offered us an upgrade to a hotel room with a sea view. Unfortunately the bed was brick hard and ofcourse this small room had no cooking facilities. We noticed the room next door was open and empty - and we sat on the bed to test it and found the bed to be very comfortable. Unfortunately when we asked - the answer was we could not change to that room. Fair enough - we understand that there may be a specific client request for that room. So we moved to the apartment. These are effectively around the back in the carpark. They are a flat roofed construction with a little hothouse kitchenette in front and a room and bathroom behind. Issues with the apartment: 1. Kitchen is totally bare There is NOTHING in the kitchen. Not a pot, pan, spoon or fork. Nada ! We've stayed in many apartments in Italy and Europe. All were equipped. How useless is an apartment rental with nothing to cook with ? We asked about this situation and requested some cooking utensils etc. We got given four plastic cups. 2. The room is similar to a prison cell with bars on the windows, iron beds, the lack of light and the low ceilings. 3. The airconditioner seemed around 20 years old did not work. It blew out hot air. It just had a control for 1,2 and 3 speeds but no temperature control. It just did not work at all. 4. In the bathroom a hairdryer fitting was pulled away from the wall exposing bare electrical cables. In a wet bathroom - we stayed away from that. 5.
The staff was friendly and very helpful with the assistant at at the reception particularly gracious in answering our questions, charming and friendly. She eased our transition to the Paestum region. Others were always immediately available to assist in parking and directions. It is family operated and the service shows. The hotel was quiet and clean and the room accommodating and well maintained. Wi Fi was installed although there is no public computer access. A welcoming hotel where we could combine beach access with the Greek site visits. The general area is rural and driving in the area not difficult as it can be in Rome or Naples. It was a nice change to explore the area here by car to get a better feel for the historical use of the area since 600 bc. The museum is terrific.
