Location was outstanding, staff very helpful and breakfast was great. Room was very well appointed but it was very very small

Lovely, friendly staff -- especially the Moldavian young lady in charge of the breakfast, and the two very kind men who retrieved my gold earring when it fell down a crack beside the bed.

Great hotel! Comfortable rooms, excellent breakfasts. Very friendly staff. Perfect location (Spanish steps). Certainly one of the best, friendliest hotels in Rome. It wasn't our first stay in Manfredi, and next time we're in Rome - Manfredi will be the only choice.

The location in Rome is not only as convenient as it gets, but the street the Manfredi is on is wonderfully beautiful and romantic. The decor of the Hotel is charming and old world, to match the location. Also, the breakfasts are great, and the entire staff embody Roman Charm.

The rooms are on the small side . Not an inconvenience for the solo traveler.

It can't be better located, central and in a quite street. We went everywhere on foot during our stay. Breakfast is excellent.

Help staff who gave me a free upgrade and the recommendation of nice restaurants. Perfect location, near the spanish steps. Cozy room, the decoration is stylish and luxurious, they clean it everyday and the toilet is new and modern. The breakfast buffet includes fruits and a wide selection of food.

We loved everything about Hotel Manfredi. The rooms are beautiful and absolutely pristine! Our family of 7 stayed here in three rooms and we could not have been more happy. The service was superb - Emanuelo made sure we were as happy and comfortable as we could be! He was so attentive. Favio [Fabio?] was also wonderful. Reviewers say the rooms are small but so what! Surrounded by such beautiful decor and wonderful service, we hardly noticed. There is a lovely bar and breakfast area where we all met for a bountiful breakfast in the mornings and would have a nice glass of wine before going out in the evening. Oh...and language was not a problem at all!

great location at a reasonable price. Very friendly and helpful staff. A smart but (typical of Rome) quite small room but that is accepted. The breakfasts are very good indeed. We would definately stay there again

A shared building (between 2 hotels) seemed strange, with our reception being on the 3rd floor and our room on the floor below, thus not feeling part of the hotel. Our room was poorly lit with little natural light, reinforcing the need for a full length mirror, which the room did not have. The bathroom was very smart and functional but all toilet and most hand basin fittings were loose.

Very close to major city sights in the historical district. Clean and comfortable, met and exceeded my expectations. Public areas well maintained except for a few areas that needed painting. Elevator looked ancient but worked very well, mostly charming. Personnel are very well versed in English and very helpful with arranging tours and suggesting travel arrangements. Pleasant, family-like atmosphere. Glad we stayed there...

Location and friendly staff

This hotel was conveniently located near the Spanish Steps with lots of shopping and restaurants within easy walking distance. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. This hotel has been updated recently so everything was in great shape. Our room was comfortable, and, though it was so close to everything, it was very quiet - no noise from other guests and no street noise. No trouble sleeping here at all!

The maid service lacked some attention to detail. Though the room was clean, they forgot to stock something every day. One day we had no bath towels, another we had no cups or extra toilet paper. Our friends had no tissues or cups in their room the first day.

If I could give the staff and location higher marks than listed, I would do so. It was like stepping into another world when you turned the corner off the busy street by the Spanish Steps and got onto Via Margutta. So quiet and lovely. We arrived after dark and I was unaware that this was on the third floor, but once we made that connection we were great. We ended up extending our stay by a day and the hotel staff was very accommodating. Lovely breakfast. Great bathroom. Room was small but fine by Rome standards. A+++

Hotel Manfredi is a true find. Though only a 2 minute walk from the Spanish Steps, it is tucked away on a quiet side street. Now I understand why Felllini lived on via Margutta - you feel you are in a village when all of Rome is just around the corner. The staff were terrific - warm, helpful, and professional. We have found our place to stay when in Rome.
