Hotel Marad  

Great location, quiet and excellent room.Great for the trips in the neighborhood. A real oasis of calm after a chaotic Naples experience.

We had some extremely good nights sleep in this hotel - the beds were so comfortable. The facilities were modern and inviting and the choice at breakfast was very good. On the whole we had a very good stay here. It offered some nice facilities and the roof terrace with the view of the bay of Naples to one side and Vesuvius to the other was pefect.

Unfortunately the hotel lacked a little ambience - perhaps because it was so quiet and most guests seemed to be passing through. As a family traveling with young children we felt the restaurant could open earlier than 8pm as there were very few facilities locally that we could use without driving. The pool is not really suitable for very young children.

It was clean however the surroundings were not clean at all, It was pleasant, quiet enough with good breakfast.

From the terrace the smoke came up to the rooms.

The pool is wonderful. The large room with balcony was quiet with a great view of Vesuvius, Capri, the Sorrento Peninsula, the sea, and the full moon. Our waiters were superb, especially Pasqualino. The shuttle service to the Circumvesuviana was essential(only a 5 minute trip). The location, being central to roman ruin sites was a good choice.

The front desk was general not helpful and lacking or not forthcoming in local knowledge of beaches and other tourist interests.

It is great value. We were greeted with a welcome drink, the common areas are really well designed and the view from the terrace is amazing in the evening. It's a good distance if you want to see Mount Vesuvius, Ercolano or if you want to make a trip to Naples. All are also within easy reach both with car and train. There is an amazing pizzeria in the square were the Circumvesuviana train stops. It's on the right hand side when you come out of the train. Lovely staff and Bruno makes excellent pizza! Hotel Marad has a really nice breakfast selection. Rooms are clean.

Torre del Greco is really not a very nice town. The common areas of the hotel are definitely 4 star, however the rooms I wouldn't rate 4, they are more like 3.

The view from the balcony was stunning ie. Isle of Capri and Sorrento.

Asked for non smoking room and was given a smoking room. My room was changed but the room was still a smoking room with, at least, less of a smell. Staff did not put out pool furniture after rain and rooftop terrace needs to be developed.

I arrived late at the hotel having been picked up by a member of the hotel staff from the local station. The kitchen was about to close and yet I was still offered something to eat, with the staff being extremely friendly and courteous. Its central location in Torre del Greco is perfect for the various business meetings that I have in this town and I would have no hesitation in choosing it again.

Allways very clear. Good breakfast.

Staff were unhelpful and atmosphere was sterile.

La amabilidad del personal, siempre dispuestos a ayudarte y a hacerte sentir como en casa; los meseros del restaurante y la señora de la limpieza eran muy simpáticos y atentos. La comida del restaurante del hotel era muy buena y los precios bastante ajustados a lo que se encontraba fuera. La ubicación para nosotros fue excelente, ya que teníamos vehículo propio e íbamos a conocer Pompeya, Capri, el Vesubio y Nápoles; por tanto, la cercanía del hotel a todos estos lugares y el parking gratuito nos vino de maravilla.

Staff gentilissimo, camera ben pulita e la posizione dell'hotel che è a pochi minuti dalla bellissima città di Napoli. Ci ritornerei.
