The breakfast was very good.

The location was excellent with a view to the passagiata and the seaside. The breakfast had an excellent selection and the staff were always courteous and helpful.

The hotel probably needs a bit of refurbishment but considering the price and location it was amazing.

Charming hotel, stylish and quite comfortable. Good breakfast. Position is really good, one hundred meters from beach and not far from city center.

The location of this hotel is excellent. Beach view. In front of a large square. Parking on site. Best shops just opposite of hotel. The breakfast was excellent there was a lot of choice. It was surprising for a 3 star hotel. The room was spacious and heating was great.

The rooms, especially bathrooms, need to be redecorated.

Lovely old building. Absolutely amazing breakfast. Friendly staff on desk. Love the pink ceilings and old fashioned lift.

A crowd of Italian footballers staying there. Noisy and drunk but I think this was a one off. Hotel desk manager not happy either. Parking was not free as was stayed on site but only €6 for 24 hours so not too bad.

Hotel Marchionni surpassed our expectations. The building is charming, built in the "Liberty " style from the art deco period but has been tastefully renovated. It is located on Piazza Puccini 1/2 block from the main walking street near the beach. Everything about this hotel was nice. There is a nice reception area, up 8 steps from the street, two elevators and a marvelous breakfast room with abundant varieties of offerings to choose from. Our room, on the 4th floor, had a view of the ocean and was surprisingly large. The room was clean and the bathroom well apportioned with a very large shower. A small amount of noise got in from the piazza below. The bed was comfortable and very large. We chose this hotel mainly because of the price, 200 Euros for 3 days over a weekend in October. It costs 10 Euros for the taxi from the train station. We looked around the city and some of the other 3 star hotels seemed depressing in comparison. Light, bright, clean and inviting. What more could you ask.

Hotel Marchionni was in a perfect location for a last night in Tuscany. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and we felt the hotel was good value for money. The staff spoke English and were very helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The quirky interior the architecture. Very friendly reception staff. Lovely balcony view and excellent breakfast. Loved the quieter end of town with memorable walk towards the port area.

Good value for money. The hotel is clean and well situated in the center of Viareggio. Thanks to very friendly and helpful staff.

There is no own parking at the hotel available, but it is possible to park your car for free at the nearest street.

Breakfast was very good, with many choices starting with cheese, salam, eggs and so on, coffe varied types, tea and a lot of good fruits:kiwi, staberry,yellow and red melon, peaches, pineapple etc. They served every day tarts with lemon or fruits and good croisantts. The services for breakfast were very good and everything was clean. Also I liked that the lady's maid (housekeeper) made clean every day in the room.

The room was very, very noisy and I could not relax and sleep. Even the room had view of the sea I would have preffered to have a room without any view but quite as I travel all day or stay at the seaside and return at the hotel for the rest. The bathroom is very, very small.

The staff were excellant and I would like to thank Beata, Illeni and Fabritzio for making our stay a very enjoyable one. We were moved by Beata to a balcony room when one came available and this enhanced our stay considerably. The hotel has a charm of its own which makes it easy to imagine its grand past. The location is excellant,just a few strides from the promenade. I must mention the breakfast which was first class. There was a large range of choice and everything was fresh and well presented. If I was going back to Viareggio I would most certainly stay there again.

Excellent location. Helpful and friendly staff. Being given a room at the front of the hotel with balcony was an added bonus. The breakfast could not be faulted with such a vast choice of foods on offer.

Good breakfast, friendly staff, nice and clean room. Our large dog (saint bernard) was also welcome in the hotel. We even got a free room upgrade so we would have more space.

Our room was spacious with very high ceilings and a good hot shower. Staff very friendly and helpful. Easy walk to beach and park, shops. Fantastic seafood restaurant 'Massimo's' as recommended by hotel manager was the gastronomic highlight of our trip to Italy!!

Hard to get coffee/tea/espresso.

lo staff è sempre gentilissimo. la colazione non ci sono neanche parole per descriverla.. è la seconda volta che vengo in questo hotel ma penso che ce ne saranno molte altre.

Tutto eccellente

Non si possono fare obiezioni su un tipo di gestione all'avanguardia. Hanno capito tante cose rispetto al passato adesso sono veramente competitivi.

Bellissima posizione 100metri dalla spiaggia, hotel antico, la colazione e buonissima.

Sul sito il posto macchina e scritto gratuito,invece Hotel ti aiuta a pagare 6 euro al giorno.l'arredo bagno e un po troppo vecchio usurato. Il ragazzo della reception dovrebbe essere piu chiaro nelle spiegazioni.
