Pillows were very comfortable
Whole hotel was very shabby and needs updating. Was greeted by very rude front of house gentleman that made us feel unwelcome.
Excellent breakfasts, clean rooms, attractive public rooms and generally helpful staff. Attractive public rooms.
Rather old fashioned rooms and being kept waiting at the desk when the receptionist knew we needed to catch a bus. The old fashioned lift was adorable but temperamental.
Friendly staff and good , not typical "italian" breakfast.
Having walked all around Viarregio we quickly learned our hotel was located in one of the more desirable areas. Only a few minutes to the public beach, great restraurants and excellent gelato! When we wanted to take a train to Pisa for the day it easy fifteen minute walk to the train station. The breakfast that was included had a great varity of choices and was delicious. The staff at the desk as well as the breakfast area were very friendly and helpful. The room was very simple, no frills and although a bit expensive the season commanded the price.
Room 111 overlooked the dirty back of the building. In hind sight would have asked ahead of time for sea view room even if it cost a bit more. Apparently in August all the prices are double or triple normal rates in the area. We booked at the last minute so we were just happy to get a room. We didn't spend too much time in room so view wasn't a huge factor. In this area all beaches are private so make sure when you are checking rates to confirm beach is included at no extra cost. At Marchioni it was extra so we walked to public beach. Wifi was not reliable, minimal english speaking tv stations.
Staff is amazingly friendly, you feel like at home! ; ) In love with this service!
Very good services, wi-fi, reception work friendly and mobile. Breakfast always was very good, cleaner and tasty. Thank you Julia and all personal!
Nothing:). I recommend visited a beach Bertuccelli - 15'minutes from hotel and more shipping.
I booked a single room which was very small but I would have accepted that however there was excessive noise from the cooling system which was outside my room. The staff were very helpful and moved me to a double room with a view of the beach at no extra cost.
The hotel is fantastic on all the common rooms very beautiful with lots of style and the out side is lovely as well. staff friendly, But the beach bar that they recommend is not friendly and lacks a lot compared with others along the beach
I had a single room it was OK to sleep in but very basic
location lovely views nothing wrong
first class value for money on an en-route stop over.
The bedroom was old fashion, but very good and big. The breakfast was also good. The staff was very friendly.
Low internet signal in the bedroom.
Historical building. Beach. Balcony. Breakfast.
A very nice room with an incridible sea view
Great helpful staff went out of their way to help make our stay enjoyable and very kind when my friend became ill. thanks. will return and recommend Sophie
Close to the beach boluevard
A bit old fashioned
Place, Location & Staff
Lovely character hotel with very helpful staff.
The Hotel was way too noisy for me.....no double glazing and the traffic noise was horrendous even though I stayed off season, with cars passing all through the night on the busy main road. The wi-fi connection did not work whilst I was there.
by the beach, which is great in the summer. I was there in December. 12euro cab ride from the station. very small room. place looks tired and could use a fresh coat of paint.
Great staff, delicious and varied breakfast, Italian decor, view of the sea.
Showers weren't very hot, although I have heard this is a problem throughout Italy.
The position is very good, the hotel is next to the beach. The breakfast is incredible good.
The staff was Very friendly and spoke one of the best English in Italy.
The city of viareggio is pretty bad, especially the beach is so ugly. And heaps of tourists everywhere. Almost no locals. The food on the beach pathway is incredibly bad and expensive. Some good shops for souvenirs and clothes but that's it. The room is incredibly small and not good for more than 1 night, you really get claustrophobic in there. Only book with balcony ( which us really nice), without its to small. Breakfast is ok for Italian comparison, but the coffe terrible.
The hotel is perfectly located, staff is superfriendly and dogfriendly
Matrass was a bit too soft for my taste and I didn't like breakfast (even if there was a lot of choice, so could be me who was picky)
