Definetely the best thing that there is in the hotel is Aurora, the lady who stays most of the time at the reception. She is kind, funny, helpful, and if you have any problems she will surely do everything possible to solve it - oh, and she also helps you with your travel, by showing you where you could go and giving you tips about the places. Other great thing is the location of the hotel. It's very central, so, even though Rome is not that big a city (When it comes to walking from one touristic attraction to the other) it really puts things even closer together. Oh, and the hotel is very close to a supermarket, so that's very good. Wi-fi did work inside my rooms and breakfast is good, but has nothing special to it. We did have a few problems. Both rooms we booked (we were 5) smelled like mold as a result of a leaking shower that ended up wetting the carpet. So, in the first day, we decided to talk to Aurora and she solved it right away by changing us to another room without any problems. The rooms, by now, are probably alright, since I did see a plumber going in to fix it. About the rooms, the superior rooms look all great, the others, however, look a little too old (those, by the way, were the ones where we found the problems, in the first place), but both will work for you if you're not intending to go to rome only to enjoy the hotel.

Location. It's close to everything... Maybe I got bad luck, but this hotel has several serious problems than result in a awful experience. When arriving to the street, there is no outdoor sign and it’s difficult to detect it; the building street hall requires maintenance (at least a simple wall painting!). The reception reveals a cosy atmosphere, but then the problems begun: the room 202 had an awful disturbing noise coming from the electrical power board. You must switch it off (having no light) if you want to sleep properly. The window lock was broken. We asked for help to the receptionist but she could not solve anything. We asked to changed room. She agreed, but since the hotel was full, we had to wait for the next day. The second room nr 205 was a little better (although both were extremely small, which, for me it’s not a problem itself), but on the second night there was a problem with the boiler and we had no hot water! Although we asked for help, we had to wait one hour for the night staff, then we insisted and nothing happened, and only on 3th time insisting they tried to solve the problem. But they could not. So we had to take a cold water shower. Next morning the problem was solved, but late in the evening the same thing happened…This was very bad after walking during hours. The daily staff was very kind and helpful, but unfortunately they could not solve any of the problems and they were not knowledge enough. Being nice doesn’t solve the problems. In addition to this, the breakfast is very poor and the people that are cleaning the rooms are the same that prepare you the table and the morning croissant (just one!!). Tv doesn’t work in both rooms (not a problem for me...but one more unsolved problem in the hotel!). Conclusion: maybe if there weren't those problems the hotel could be acceptable. Considering this, I would recommend to avoid it, even if price is attractive.

The room # 1 is awfull: really old everything. Besides we have strong feeling that we've been attacted by bedbugs - we have a lot of itching bites all over the body. I guess renovated rooms are good - but how can you be sure that you get one? When we were doing reservation - pictures of renovated room were displayed, and we felt like cheated when entered the old bad smelling room (the price for one of the nights was 79 euro by the way, we could definatelly get smth better for that price). Do not recomend.

Good location at the center of Rome and near to metro station The hotel is on second floor of a building and you don't own a room key ,so you have to ring every time you need to enter. The elevator don't work all the times. I don't know about the other rooms, but mine it was very uncomfortable. For breakfast you have to pay more 5 euros

Fine location. The bathroom was small. The final cost was about 40 Euros more than the rate advertised--was this due to tax? Also, there was an emphasis on paying with cash rather than through a credit card.

Staff were nice and the location was perfect. We stayed at this hotel twice, the first time for two nights we were in a triple room (€97) myself, my partner and our two Y.o boy and apart from the hard bed the hotel was fantastic. Then upon returning to Rome after a few days in umbria we rang the hotel to book a room for the night & was told we have the only room available and it would be €97 we said ok assuming it would be the same room. We arrived and were taken to our room which had about 30cm space around each side of the hard double bed but as we were only sleeping the night we didn't care to much although the price seemed strange. When we came back to the room after dinner it was quite warm so we tried to turn on the ac which didnt work and when we asked the night porter he said sorry It isn't working. X.. Then decided to have a shower to cool down only to open the door and be inundated by the stench of mould, rising damp etc. But as it being 11.30pm and already being told it was the last room available we closed the door and opened the window and decided to discuss it with the manager in the morning. Upon checking out we explained to the manager the issues and was told that we should have said something & we could have changed rooms. We then asked for a discount & he said ok just pay €90 to which I said that wasn't good enough and he said €70 fine. We left our bags behind then on returning to get them and the receipt he said that he wanted us to pay another €10. I recommend this hotel but if you handed room 2 give it back..

It was easy to find, right in the center of everything, great location. For the most part I felt reasonably safe. The rooms were extremely moldy and I left the hotel feeling quite sick. I asked to have my room moved and they said that wasn't an option even though I was with a large group and 2 of our group members were checking out that same day. I also found it strange how you had to give your room key to the front desk every time you left. As a young adult traveler this made me quite uneasy.

Good location. Hotel staff is careless and unprofessional. The guy at the front desk is not honest. The hotel advertised that payment by credit card are accepted but is not true. The machine appears to be broken forever, you can read older reviews, everyone complaints about it. The room got really cold at night and heater does not works, which was not informed during our arrival at the hotel. Downstairs in the same building there is a nightclub that plays music until 3am, and of course you can hear all the noise in your room. It was a horrible experience to have to wait for the nightclub to close. Please do not make the same mistake we made, there are plenty of other hotels in Rome at the same price and location. I strongly recommend you to browse around before booking this hotel.

The location was great. However we discovered later that there was better acc. For the same price nearby and incl. Breakfast. Incidentally the breakfasts were not good and we used a cafe after the 1st one. Our superior rm. Had a nice view of a square w/ fountain. Unfortunately it was over a piano bar/restaurant that kept us awake until 3 A.M. As we were locked in to this res. There was nothing we could do about it. Altogether a regrettable exp. And definitely will not be repeated..

Location is great, walking distance of everything, which is critical in Rome. The hotel room was very clean, and staff was friendly and helpful. We didn't like that we had to pay in cash, although the booking.com says it accepts every major credit card. The walls of the rooms are very thin, so the hotel gets noisy.

Five minute walk to the Spanish Steps (and metro). Ten minute walk from the Fumicino Airport shuttle drop-off. Elevator. Very clean. Wireless internet. My room had a very small bathroom; however, the shower water was hot, plentiful, and had great pressure. Everything at the hotel was great, I would definitely stay there again. A word of caution, when you venture out, beware of a restaurant called "La Fontanella," on the way to the Spanish Steps. Fedrico, the owner, will lure you in with friendly tales of the local neighborhood and then offer to make dinner suggestions while deftly removing all menus from the table. Based on menu prices of what we ate (for 3 of us), our bill would have been 95 Euro (including service), but b/c Federico "served us family style," (meaning: one serving divided between the three of us) and the bill was 157 euro! We were totally scammed!! If you must eat there, don't let Fedrico snatch the menu from your hands before you order-- btw, his suggestion will be "the sea bass," count on it (which will show up as 70 Euro on your bill-- that's over $100 for one grilled, covered in salt, served at the table sea bass-- ridiculous).

The location was perfect. You could walk to all the sightseeing places I booked and paid for a Superior Double Room but we did not get such room. Our room was so small nothing compared to the pictures on the internet side. We saw some of the other rooms and they were bigger/more like a superior room. .

I like how close it was to the major streets and shopping, also it was very close to the Spanish steps, the trevi fountain, and the Vatican. It was a very small room, so dont expect much...We didnt mind the space however you can hear all the neighbors next to your room and every little sound in the hallway at all times. Also our "white" sheets had a few stains, and the restroom was extremely small, even for a woman. If your just passing through its not bad, just really dont expect much.

Our 'superior room' and the building were poorly maintained. There were holes in the wall, poor lighting, bathroom was tiny, knees touched bide when on toilet, window shutters couldn't lock. Bags moved out of our room by staff before the 11am check out time. Payment of accommodation required at check-in before seeing the room. Would never stay here again.
