Enrico and staff were very friendly. Comfy beds and lovely showers.

sometimes quite a lot of noise from flats above and doors slamming.

The proprietor, Enrico, was great. He went above and beyond what you would expect from the best of places. Helpful, friendly and courteous, he even took my wife to the doctor when she cut her finger. A terrific experience of Sicilian hospitality.

The staff was wonderful, helpful and went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The town is relaxing and peaceful, good beach and handy for ferry to Malta

Enrico was extremely helpful, including an unexpected ride to the bus stop. It is my impression that he will do much to assist travellers. My room was very comfortable; more like a small suite. Enrico's recommendation for dinner was a very good choice.

Very friendly staff, couldn't do enough for us. Great location pretty much right on the seafront. Great facilities and nice rooms. We only stayed here as a last minute booking because our ferry to Malta got delayed but it turned out to be the best hotel we stated at during our whole journey to Malta. Pozzallo is a lovely little town which is well worth a visit. The townspeople are some of the nicest people in Italy.

I normally take 2 holidays on my bike in early/late summer.Last June my friend and I had to spend a night at Pozzallo so I looked for hotels and prices.Mare Nostrum was one of the hotels which I choose to check when we get there.We liked the location(centre of activity), had a garage which for us bikers is a must,and reasonable price.But for me the cherry on the cake was the hospitality of Sig Enrico Caruso to whom I send my recards and a big thank you. Enrico is the best, he advised us perfectly on restaurants! Everything is just how you would expect to be and the breakfast really good! He even let us use his bikes. Good wifi in the whole hotel!

This is a budget B & B in a convenient location near to the ferry terminal for Virtu Ferries to Malta. It is also located within the centre of the town of Pozzallo. All staff are wonderful, particularly the owner Enrico who was a thoughtful and considerate host.

We stayed at Mate Nostrum after arriving by ferry from Malta. Hotel is v handy to the port and Enrico arranged a pickup for us. A great, comfortable hotel, convenient and Enrico is a great host - he couldn't do enough for us. He recommended great restaurants and provided helpful advice on onward transport - even drove us to the bus! We would have liked to have stayed longer! We stayed in zn accessible room so would be great for anyone with a disability!

Mare Nostrum suited us wonderfully as a stop before boarding morning ferry to Malta.The location, cleanliness, airconditioned comfort and breakfast were excellent. Enrico is a master hotelier and as such looks after his property and his guests with great care and attention to detail He recommended a delightful restaurant for our evening meal and stored our major luggage for 3 days while we visited Malta. Pozallo is a delightful town with a great beach and in retrospect we wished we had allowed more time to relax there, especially since Enrico and Mare Nostrum offered such warm, welcoming and comfortable accommodation. Value for money is second to none. If travelling in rented car, it is safe to leave in free carpark in Pozallo, or drive to ferry only 10 minutes away with another free carpark .. this is much more convenient.Both options seem safe.Enrico assures us there are no problems in these car parks. We have travelled extensively in Sicily in the past couple of years and have stayed in regular and luxury accommodation but nowhere have we found a proprietor who is so charming, so obviously proud of his business and so willing to go out of his way to accommodate your wishes as Enrico. Our best wishes for his continued success.

Breakfast was more than just a basic Italian breakfast. The owner of Mare Nostrum was very helpfull, speaks very good english and can give a lot of information.

Perfect location in the heart of Pozzallo especially if travelling from Malta by catamaran and arriving late. Only 5 minutes drive from Banchina Di Riva and easy to park if travelling by car with a 200 car park space just round the corner. Owner very helpful and perfect english speaking. Very clean and spacious rooms equiped with a large LCD TV. Good and plentiful buffet breakfast. In my experience this is the best hotel in Pozzallo. Keep it up, thanks and hope to see you soon.

I only stayed overnight at Mare Nostrum but wished it had have been longer. The room was clean and well presented. The breakfast was great and there was free wifi in your room which is a real bonus. But mostly the hospitality was second to none. The staff really bent over backwards to ensure all my needs and requests were met. Always with a smile and a warm sincerity. If I am ever in Sicily again, I will definitely be coming back to stay at Mare Nostrum. Thanks for everything.
