We asked for two rooms. The single room had a strange smell from the toilet. The stuff took care of it as long as we informed them. Long stairs Not so quiet
the place smells awful, pillows are so not comfy, facilities are too old... The bathroom didnt have a hanger, no room to place your bath stuff in the sink
Breakfast is good, a variety of options to eat, wish it started earlier, they start serving at 8... Good location, near the station and lots of restaurants in the area
The bad smell from bathroom
Cozy , quiet room, plenty breakfast
The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood, located at about 10 minutes of walk both from the center of Florence and the railway station. It's clean, with nice rooms, free WiFi and breakfast included. The staff is very kind. A good choice at a great price.
I had difficulty finding the hotel cuz the name of the hotel is azzi but the second floor was allocated to Hotel Marine. No elevator
It was very close to city s attractions, the train station and i could find anything i want. It was pretty safe. The hotel was clean
Real close to the train station. Nice informative staff. Nice room, good breakfast.
Very central location and close to Santa Maria Novella station.. Good breakfast and v good wifi.
No parking. Car must be given to the hotel staff. Later, I had a problems with starting the car.
Vicinity of main attractions in Florance
Booked Hotel Marine, but they gave us Hotel Anna. No stuff at reception desk. Old Mattress, No lift, 2nights been distrubed by hotel stuffs (~10pm) due to the heat system not working(others room) and the system are located at my balcony (Room6). Booking early paid higher prices.
The double bed was actually 2 single beds pushed together :( This meant it wasn't that comfortable. The wifi was slow but improved after a while. The staff took ages to answer the door and we had to go down to fetch our passports. The room was small, but we only stayed a night. FYI all the tap water in Florence is heavily chlorinated and not suitable for drinking. Not the hotel's fault, I know, but they didn't mention anything to us, by which time it was too late to buy bottled water.
We liked it because it was very near the train station, only cost 40 euros and had breakfast. We were tired so this was ideal.
That i had to go...
How beautiful poetry changes ones heart profoundly, so did this magical place had an impact on me! What a beautiful surprise this total absence of time and the athmosphere of another reality! a feeling of importancy in each breath i take and every heart beat that goes by!
A bit worn-out. Really small bathroom. It was hard to find (4-5 hotels in the same building)
As soon as we stepped foot into the room we were greeted by the smells of bleach and drain cleaner which was highly overwhelming and extremely chemically. There were no fans so we opened the door for around 5-10 minutes to get some ventilation into the room. Next thing we know there are a number of mosquitos flying around. Two nights later they were still in the room and after having swatted them away we noticed other mosquito marks on the wall indicating there was a noticeable issue before us. Wifi signal was extremely poor and constantly dropped in/out at various times throughout the morning and night. Not very happy/pleased with overall experience, just glad we are out!
Location was the only thing this hotel had on offer.
Toilet door latch was broken.
Not far from the central railway station as well as from the city center. The room is clean and tidy, breakfast (in a dining room on the first floor of the building) is rich and various, staff is very polite.
The location, not far from the station was perfect. Lots of eating places handy and not far from the sights. We felt we really experienced Florence because of the location. We spent 4 days and really enjoyed it. The breakfast was simple but quite adequate. The room was fine. The staff really went that extra step to help us with train info etc. they stored our bags after we checked out so that we didn't have to lug them around for the morning.
Great value for money
the location location
About 10 min walk from train & bus station, and another 10-15 min from cathedral of Florence and most interesting places.
- very hard to find the entrance - you have to actually walk the street to see it; the numbers on buildings are both red and blue and GPS is no use - parking (you have to park in a garage, there are about 3 in the area - and you have to leave your car key there, because this is the custom; we recommend Garage Excelsior - it's a little further - about 800m - 1km, but the price was right and the people very friendly) - you have to walk with the bags to the hotel and go up to second floor - no elevator
- the room was very big and bright, although the view was poor - breakfast was good - location - walking distance to main attractions in Florence - very good restaurants near by - stuff was very friendly and helpful
I have no complaints! It's great value for the money!
It's a charming old building. The location is excellent, very close to the nicest sites and close to the train station. Breakfast is honest, the place is clean and the shower works well.
Staff's attitude is very good!
Toilet leaked once when flushed and lots of hairs on the floor but mainly clean.
Good value and in the centre of town, good breakfast and helpful staff let us keep our bags there after we checked out so we could look around town before leaving.
The price over 100 Euro per night was a bit expensive compared to the location and the type of hotel. I would say that 60 or maximum 70 Euros per night is a very fair price. The most difficult part was the type of road to reach the hotel from the Railway station was extremely bad to stroll down with the baggage. The hotel management could help guests by arranging a pick up or at least transporting the baggage from the station to the hotel. I won't mind paying 10 Euros extra for such a service. And the hotel MUST have a hoarding outside the building. Otherwise, it is extremely difficult to find the location on the very long street.
Staff's behavior, room, housekeeping service, breakfast, and the location was not bad.
Friendly staff, excellent location relative to railway station and main attractions of the city.
Wi-Fi connection did not work in the room. It was only working in the lobby. There was no balcony or openable window in the room (the room was on the ground floor). I need to specify that, we made reservation to Hotel Marine, but we stayed Hotel Azzi because the reception asked us to stay there.
Hotel location is very close to the train station and there are good restaurants in the hotel's street. The staff was very friendly. Room was comfortable and big enough for 4 adult people. I need to specify that, we made reservation to Hotel Marine, but we stayed Hotel Azzi because the reception asked us to stay there.
