Marta Guest House

Very friendly and helpful staff. Gave great advice which made our stay in Rome more enjoyable. Location excellent. Will stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at Martha Guest House. The room was situated on the 1st floor in a lovely apartment building in a nice and safe neighborhood - in a walking distance to all the main sights. The room was decorated in a shabby chic style and had a view of the street. It was clean, as well as the bathroom. There was plenty of soap/shampoo/shower gel and our towels were changed every other day. Breakfast was ok - plenty of toast, croissants, cakes, butter, jam, etc., coffee, orange juice, etc. An excellent value for money.

The bed mattress was somewhat hard and some towels were ripped.

Literally 20 meters from the airport shuttle bus station and 50m from piazza Cavour. Walking distance from the old central city and the Vatican. The B&B itself looks like a palace and the stay was comfortable.

There is no metro station close to the B&B which makes one either walk 8 blocks to get to the closest one, or just walk into the city.

Excellent staff that was very helpful. They provided a map of Rome and told me the best things to do. The location is fantastic. I was able to walk to everything.

Although the room was very nice I found the bed to be very uncomfortable.

The staff were friendly and curteous at all times. I would recommend this guest house to anyone new to the city, however, the guest house is a bit difficult to find for new people. Google maps does make it easier by giving a street view of the guest house so would advise anyone new to use this. Re. breakfast, would like to see a bit of fruit, however, all in all I was happy with the service and standards of cleanliness and will book again. And anyone looking for a very reasonable priced coffee and snack try the cafe on Via Tacito, it is 2 blocks up and on the same side as the guest house and San Marco restaurant. The cafe doesn't have a sign above the double doors.

Wish the seats in room were more comfortable. Would also help if more pillows were provided in order to sit up in bed to read. Also there was a must smell in the bathroom.

It was so easy to find, perfectly located. All the attractions were practically walking distance or a 5min walk to the bus stops. 5min to the airport shuttle.Shopping was a few 100m away. The area was safe with lots of police visible. Rooms were clean & basic but had everything you needed. Staff were very helpful and gave us all the info we needed.

Breakfast was too basic. Only cereal, breads & yoghurt.

Beautiful old building in a quiet district. 10 minutes walk to the Cathedral of St. Peter, close to supermarket and restaurants, 5-minute walk from the street with not very expensive clothing stores. Hotel is only 2 minutes away to the shuttle bus stop. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms cleaned every day. Breakfast basic but good : tea/cofe, yogurt, fresh croissant.

Very bad air-conditioning. It was impossible to sleep.

The location of the hotel is excellent, 10-15 min from the Pantheon on foot, and Piazza Cavour has bus connection to a lot of important squares/monuments. Transfering from Fiumicino is also a piece of cake, the Sitbus Shuttle has a stop right next to the hotel! The neighbourhood was nice, much nicer than the neighbourhood of Termini! The staff was very friendly, we've met two young guys, who can speak english very well. Sometimes there was a lady (maybe the owner) at the reception who was a little quieter. The gave us the keys of the building, so we could come and go anytime we wanted. On the day of departure, we checked out at 12.00, but we were allowed to leave our baggage at the reception for the afternoon. The room was great, it had air conditioning, mini fridge(/bar), tv, safe, and a private bathroom as well. For this low price, I couldn't find better place to stay in Rome.

Maybe the bathroom was a bit small, but it's normal for a budget- friendly hotel, I think.

Staff were so friendly and helpful!! Room was very nicely decorated, small but charming. It was cool to stay inside an actual residential building :)

Breakfast and breakfast room were very limited (no water even..) and very cramped..

Cosy and personal decorations in the room. Especially the day receptionist were very friendly and helpful giving us a lot of good advice. Within walking distance of most big sights in Rome - and still in a quiet area.

I read somewhere that you shouldn't go to Italy for the breakfast. The breakfast at Marta Guest House was okay - but could be improved alot by exchanging the white toast bread with good italian bread.

Too difficult to find out the position of location. No like signpost showing where it is.

Good rapolozhenie hotel, friendly staff, breakfast: tea, bread, yogurt, cheese, butter, jam and croissants.

Gentle comfort in the room, small bath / shower, no tv channels on russian.

Brilliant location, friendly, helpful staff. Basic but everything you needed. Nice and clean, breakfast basic but adequate and enabled you to get an early start if you wanted to.

Ligging is super. Shuttle bus om de hoek. Supermarkt aan overkant straat. Heel Rome stad bereikbaar te voet.

Wij lagen aan de straatkant en daar was veel straatlawaai. Matras was hard. Ontbijt was enkel koffie fruitsap en croissant. Maar wel lekker

Todo el personal es muy atento y siempre dispuesto a ayudar al turista. Excelente trato. Muy buena ubicación, cerca del vaticano y del Castillo San Angelo. El barrio muy agradable y con muchas opciones gastronómicas.

At det lå centralt - lige ved lufthavnsbussen. Men fredeligt og overskueligt.

Trés bien placé, a coté de la cité du Vatican, 10 mn d'une station de métro, trés calme, possibilité de laisser sa voiture dans un parking pendant la durée du séjour

un regret, petit déjeuner à l'extérieur, mais dans un petit café tres sympa... chéreté du parking (de 25 à 35€ la journée)

прекрасное месторасположение, рядом замок св. ангела, ватикан. до других достопромечательностей рукой подать через мос, напротив -небольшой супермаркет, остановка автобуса до аэропорта- практически на выходе из дворика. заселение было мгновенным. в номере чисто, достаточно уютно . оставляет желать лучшего звукоизоляция, но этим грешат практически все отели данного класса.

однократно были прблемы с завтраком- не хотели обслуживать в соседнем кафе по "талончинку", но как-то договорились. за 5 дней ни разу не доложили шампунь с гелем, но от грязи не умерли, подстраховались своим.
