Hotel Martin is in Jouvenceaux, just outside Sauze D'Oulx, and 200 metres from the cable car to the Milky Way ski slopes. Each room offers a balcony overlooking the Alps.

Rooms at the Martin Hotel come with wooden furniture and either tiled or wood floors. They all have free Wi-Fi, a TV and a private bathroom.

Martin's restaurant offers traditional cuisine from the Val di Susa area, with a fixed menu available daily.

During winter, a free shuttle bus connects you to the local ski slopes. The French border is nearby and the A32 motorway makes getting around by car very easy.

The 20th Winter Olympics took place in Turin in 2006. All the skiing facilities of the area were renovated and improved for the event. Today you can still ski like the champions at the Via Lattea resort, which includes Claviere (1760 metres), Sansicario (1700 metres), Sauze d'Oulx (1509 metres), and Sestriere (2035 metres) in Italy, and Montgenèvre (1850 metres) in France. Altogether there are 400 km of pistes, 120 with artificial snow, and 88 lifts. The skiing area offers huge, sunny spaces, and panoramic trails that connect ancient and traditional villages with modern towns. Snowboard and ski-cross tracks are also amazing.

Sestriere is probably the most popular and international resort along Lattea Via (Milky Way) ski circuit. It is set on a hill between Val Chisone and the Valley of Susa, a few kilometres from the French border. It has had the pleasure of hosting a number of World Championships over the years; most notably the 2006 Winter Olympics. It features over 400 kilometres of pistes and, with such a high altitude, you are more or less guaranteed an excellent snowfall. Sestriere is also home to Europe's highest golf course. There are plenty of wellness centres and sports facilities, plus a wide choice of bars and restaurants.
