Great hotel with friendly and helpful staff. We stayed 10 nights and loved it, the view from the balcony is breathtaking. Continental breakfast excellent. Drink prices good. We did not eat at the hotel as there were a number of nice restaurants in the centre of Vico Equense. Well located for trains to Sorrento, Pompeii etc. Will definately return in years to come. Only issue can be dogs barking at night.

Dogs barking at night. No kettle in the room. They supply a fridge but no kettle?

Beautiful location over looking the sea. Hotel staff were very friendly and all went very well.

I did not like the tiles floors throughout which made the Hotel noisy at night time when people were above you.

Room was very clean and tidy and the staff were friendly. The hotel location was good, with the main town just a 10min casual walk and the beach a short bus ride (or you could tackle the 230 steps). Breakfast offered a good choice. Excellent swimming pool! Generally good value for money.

We arrived and found we'd been given a room with a balcony as advertised. However, it was on the road, which unfortunately had a sharp bend close by, necessitating every vehicle to sound it's horn from early morning to late night. We asked for an alternative room. However, the only one available had no balcony :-( and 2 of the beds were on a raised mezzanine floor which wasn't touched by the airconditioning or window venting. This made it a heat trap which was totally unreasonable for sleeping in. We ended up moving the matresses to the lower area which was a bit tight. Restaurant was a little expensive and didn't really offer much traditional food so we ate in town most nights.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was quite comfortable with beautiful sea views.

Pool area was lovely and restaurant and bar good value.

The shower in our room was very poor and needed descaling. Also room near the road so noisy to sit on the balcony. Expensive Wi-fi

1) The very friendly and helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. They all spoke excellent English too. Mario, the head waiter, was particularly charming. They gave advice on travel, the best local beach etc etc. 2) The hotel facilities were excellent too a) A very efficient and QUIET air conditioning system - a huge help on the hot June days and nights! b) Large rooms which were kept scrupulously clean and with a balcony had wonderful views particularly of the sunsets!! Comfortable beds and a good shower too. c) The balcony restaurant with breathtaking views and reasonably priced delicious food, with lots and lots of choices too. Their ice cream served in fruit shells was divine. Every meal starts with a complimentary glass of Prosecco! Breakfast was self service with loads of choices - we enjoyed the chefs homemade cake - much nicer than the prepacked bits they had out. d) The pool was great to swim in after a hot day out! 3)Brilliant location - so near the local train - with quick and easy access to Naples, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Sorrento and the fab beach at Meta (a tip from a helpful staff member). The train is SO cheap - we paid 1 euro 20 to get to Pompeii! SO NO NEED TO HIRE A CAR. You can get a bus from airport to Naples train station and then the local train out OR the Hotel will meet you at the airport. 4) Vico is a great town - not over touristy but lots of lovely shops, restaurants and ice cream parlours. We bought limoncello (lemon liquer) as a holiday treat to take home. 5) Lovely walks down to the local beach 6) As honeymooners we were spoilt with champagne in our room on arrival. A truly great hotel whose facilities definitely earn them their 4 stars. We would definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers - Jane and Bob.

Service was excellent! The staff is always ready to help and even always smiling! Hotel Mary has a private beach with sunbeds and umbrellas without extra charge. Valet parking is also free of charge. Breakfast is moderate and the resaurant's menu and wine list (with a plenty of local wines) are very good. Shuttle service is moderately priced. Air conditioning was working superb. Sometimes, momentarily, the cold water pressure was not sufficient enough.

Staff was nice and friendly . Location good, clean rooms and good service. Dinner at the hotel was very good with nice portions and fresh food. Shuttle bus service was excellent but u have to pay 2 euros each.

the pool was overwhelmed by groups of school kids staying at the hotel.., the breakfast was ok even though the croissant were tough and not fresh....also the espresso was too bitter and nasty perhaps due to the coffee machine or how the coffee is actually ground .

Friendly staff, good breakfast, good food in a restaurant. Free parking, car keys should be left at the reception - staff parks the car and adjusts it if you want to go. The view from the balcony rooms, restaurant and pool is amazing!

The family room is not locked toilet, shower screwed to the wall - so it is impossible to change the direction of water. The sea is close, but it leads to a steep staircase bolle than 200 degrees ... Another option - get to the sea by car (about 2 miles - the road goes straight). Parking at the beach is 3 euros per day.

The stuff very good and kind. The swimming pool was good.

The breakfast was poor- poor cheese plate, bread as well as meet.

Enjoyed our stay here. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was very beautiful, overlooking beach and bay and hills. Excellent standard of food in restaurant. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Jacuzzi wasn't working when we wanted it. Could provide more local information leaflets in lobby.

It was all value for money. Staff excellent ,very helpful and friendly. Room small but comfortable, would have liked tea and coffee making facility. Bathroom clean and practical . The restaurant was great with its outside dining with fantastic sunsets. Food selection and value good. The shuttle service from Naples is very good value. The location is good with an easy walk to train station. Take time to have a coffee or beer at the centre of town and meet the locals.

Cannot say any dislikes, only that tea and coffee making facility would be great improvement.

Hotel Mary is an ideal hotel for families and people looking for a relatively quiet and good value for money hotel in a quiet but very scenic location along the Amalfi Coast. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the sea view rooms have balconies overlooking a lovely little bay on the south of Vico Equense. In the morning we could hear the cocks crowing and the noises of the locals going about this day. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and were very nice to our children aged 9 and 13. Food in the restaurent was very good and we particularly enjoyed the local speciality of a metre long pizza, however we were able to choose 4 different toppings to suit everyone's taste. I would highly recommend Hotel Mary to anyone looking for a quiet hotel just up the coast from the more touristy Sorrento and just a few miles from Pompeii.

La gentillesse et l écoute du personnel qui parle un bon français. la restauration.le service voiturier, la vue sur la mer, la proximité des transports qui pemet de rayonner rapidemant de Naples à sorrente et Amalfi et d accèder aux iles de Capri ou Ischia,le confort et espace des chambres.
