Location and kind staff
Room is bit cold and small washroom
The owner and staff are amazing people they help you with everything you need. The breakfast was also good and the place is quiet in a very good street and close to the termini
The bed matrix could be better
The location of the hotel is great. Near Termini Station where you can catch airport buses, both metro lines, trams and all the buses. Even by foot you can reach easily barberini, republica, city center and colloseum. The staff is really friendly and they can speak english. The room is average and old-fashioned but is clean, hot and with a renovated bath, there is a screen too with cable tv. The internet (wi-fi) is really good. Around the hotel are plenty of good restaurants and fast food.
The breakfast was average. The view was bad.
A great owner.. great location .. good wifi .. 24 hours reception service .. thank you
may be the room was too small ..
Good location cause it is close to the main train station and not so far from the centre.
Bed pillows are SO HARD, unimagionable! So if you choose this hotel take your own pillows!))(( bathroom door is not comfortable, it takes the space of the already very tiny bathroom . Room is very small. If you stay in Rome for a week, i would not recomend this hotel.
Location. 30min from airport by train. Very friendly staff.
No complementary mineral water inside the room. Only mode of payment is by cash.
Very good location.very good wifi.water for toilet.cleanness and very good and poliet staff.24 h open.
I prefer a complete king size bed .but I found two single bed sitting aside instead of a solo king bed. Breakfast was poor.no eggs,no sausage...
This family run hotel is located within easy (5 minutes) walking distance of Termini Station. We found the staff to be extremely gracious, helpful and accommodating. The Breakfast provided each morning was quite satisfactory. We would happily stay there again - and that is what counts.
I was a bit dubious about having to pay in full at the time of making the booking but everything turned out fine upon arrival.
Great breakfast and location. Very close to the train station and walkable distance to the Colosseum and beyond
Couldn't pay by credit card
Good hotel that provides all the essentials such as wifi and a good breakfast. Hotel is clean and the staff are friendly.
The area of the hotel is good for transport but appears a little dodgy. My girlfriend didn't feel safe there. The hotel can be noisy in the mornings.
I appreciated the wonderful care and welcom from the owners, the nice breackfast, the very good location - so close to Termini Station and to Santa Maria Maggiore Church and a very strong wi-fi signal.
The room a lit bit too small, the lack of view and light for the room situated to the back courtyard, the door at the appartment entrance noisy, when other guest are coming back lately in the night.
the staff and location
the lift was little bit small
Location is great (very central), friendly staff, very fast free Wifi. Efficient double windows, thus almost no noise from the street.
I liked everything. There should maybe be a little bit more pressure in the water of the shower.
The hotel was a very good choice. The room, bathroom and breakfast hall were very clean. The bed was comfy and we slept very well. Try to ask for a room with balcony in the interior court, it's less noisy (I guess). The staff was very helpful and kind, pointing us in the right direction for various visits, even if we came prepared with maps and schedule. The hotel's position is also very good, it's very close (5-10 min walk) to Termini station, where you can take buses/subway to the airport or to any part of Rome you might want to visit. We felt safe and relaxed at all times in the neighborhood. If we would visit Rome again, we'll stay here, it's good value for money :)
The only thing that could be improved in my opinion is the breakfast. If you like healthy eating, there's too much of a choice of bread and not so many fresh vegetables/fruit. But it was still tasty :)
Very nice staff ( family) Breakfast Clean
Noise Parking is problem if you late arrive
The hotel staff was incredibly courteous and attentive! They were very helpful and did their best to keep us comfortable and satisfied! There's always at least one person there who speaks english, and even those who did not speak english would try to communicate in another way. The rooms were very comfortable too, and we didn't hear any noise coming from the street, even though it was in such a great location (near Termini station). There are a lot of attractions near the hotel, and truthfully a young couple like us would find no problem to walk to most of the attractions in Rome. The wifi seems to be set for each room, so you won't have problems connecting, and it never crashed during our stay. Glad we picked this hotel, we definitely recommend this to anyone who would like to visit this amazing city!
There's little to unlike in this hotel. The shower was a bit small, but so is every single bathroom in Italy (we guess that since there's mainly old buildings there, there's not much room to build a bathroom), so you can't really blame the hotel for that. We would like to note, though, that even being an old building, the accommodations were not old at all.
Everything! clean room, very friendly and very helpful staff, good breakfast, perfect location to visit Rome, good WiFi, new air conditionning devices,..... Please go to Maryelen, it's worth it.
No credit cards accepted.
I think this is the best hotel in termini area so far where you get so much value for cheaper price. Location is 5 min walk from Termini station. Room is spacious and include nice breakfast. Hotel staffs are friendly, they handle me very well. Wifi works well..
Nothing. Im satisfied with the service.
Hotel Maryelen is an unexpected gem very conviently located a short walk from the Termini Station in Rome, from which guests can connect with regional trains and a bus to the airport. A family run business, pride of ownership is evident. We were warmly greeted upon arrival, found spotlessly clean rooms, and a bountiful breakfast the next day - included in the very modest room fee. The bathrooms are tiny, sufficient and functional with nice toiletries included. The owners are lovely and gracious hosts.
Very nice staff, family atmosphere. Good location close to the train station with restaurants nearby (very convenient if you arrive in the evening as I did, and don't feel like venturing out too far for dinner). Despite being so close to the central train station, it's fairly quiet. I expected it to be noisier, just by virtue of its location. My room had air conditioning (albeit without the possibility to adjust the settings, as far as I could tell), which was a blessing after a day out in the hot July weather.
Cash only! They don't accept take credit cards. There's an ATM at Termini train station just a few minutes away, but it still means that you have to carry or get cash to pay your bill. And if you're from abroad, you have to add the ATM charges to your cost. There doesn't seem to be wireless internet access available in the breakfast room, so if you like to go online during breakfast for checking your email or planning your day, you're out of luck. (Wireless is available in the rooms).
The rooms were spacious and clean, including the bathroom. Hotel Maryelen is located a few minutes from the main train station, which is perfect. The staff was super friendly, the whole family tries the best to make you feel at home and they are always ready to help you with any questions. We really appreciated that they had a luggage storage. Also they have great breakfasts! If we ever travel back to Rome, we will choose Maryelen again!
Great Location 5 Mins Walk From Termini Station, Excellent Staff. Good Breakfast. And Very Very Clean
The Lift Didn't Work. We Were On The 3rd Floor So No Wifi.
friendly service in Rome
Everything :) No issues, location is great with welcoming staff, they are always ready to help just ask. Very thankful to them as they also provided us luggage storage on last day. Before you book please check if your room is having central A/C only as its useless in Roman Summer. They helped us with ventilator but then u should be ready for that :). Tip: Around the corner you have a Groc shop so do buy water bottles before heading towards your destination. Also do try the Italian Resto just opposite to hotel (I forgot the name) the food is awesome and value for money.
