Hotel Mascagni  

We went to Italy for four weeks to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversay. Our first two weeks, November 11-25th and our last two days, December 6-8 were booked at Hotel Mascagni in Rome. All staff members went above and beyond to make our stay welcoming, comfortable and memorable. This was most impressive as the hotel was booked solid and very busy at all times. Front desk staff were always cheerful and ready to offer help and advice for every possible request. The daily buffet breakfast was always very good and the service by Marco and Guiseppe was excellent! Capuchinos and Coffee were always nice and hot. Our room was always meticulously taken care of and it was wonderful to have a kettle with a variety of teas and coffee. We would definitely return to Hotel Mascagni in the future!

The hotel was a beautiful historic building in a perfect location. Our room was lovely in every way and really was a comfortable space to come back to after a long day of sight-seeing. The staff were not only competent but were delightful to deal with no matter what our request and we had lots of request that required assistance. No issue to big or to small to be attended to. The wifi worked perfectly in our room. The breakfast were delicious, plentiful and hosted by delightful staff who also helped us plan our day when we couldn't figure out how to get to several sites. All in all...magic at the Mascagni and we will be staying there again and recommending it to our friends and family.

The location of the hotel was great... Walking distance from the Termini train station and near access to the metro. As well the hotel was very clean, staff was extremely helpful at all times. Wonderful breakfast. Hotel was very clean and very comfortable. Will definitely return to this hotel and would recommend it highly!!!!!

Definitely too small room and breakfast was the same spread everyday.

My bed was too hard

The Hotel is super and all the staff were really nice. We had a good size room with lovely rooftop views on the quite side of building.

We think it is a little too far from downtown Rome.....its ok for walking around during daytime but at nighttime we would have liked to have more restaurant options nearby.

Staff were friendly, location close to train station was ideal also.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean, elegant and lovely hotel, wonderful breakfast, great location - close to all sights, to the train station and to Via Natzionalle with lots of shops so great for shopping. Could reach most sites on foot or have a Metro station on your doorstep. Would definitely stay in this hotel next time I am in Rome. Highly recommended.

My room was on a smallish side but this was a double room for single occupation. Bathroom was also quite small and the finishing was a bit shabby. For the money I paid I would expect a bit more luxurious bathroom and a bigger room. The furnishing however was very elegant and the bed very comfortable.

Its location in the city center. You can easily walk from the hotel to all parts of the old city. The friendliness of staff. We were always very well attended

Perhaps the traffic noise from the street was a bit annoying

Room for 3 person is ver narrow for 3 person

The staff were all lovely. We were pleasantly surprised with our room and bathroom, they were both clean and modern and perfect for our needs. There is a lovely little bar on the ground floor and the resturant is on level one, so breakfast was always great. Location was close to shopping and not far to all the local tourist sites.

The only thing that was not to our taste was that the bed was quite hard, we soon got used to it and wore ourselves out seeing the sites of Rome during the day and weren't too worried about it.

We loved the rooms and facilities which were kept sparkling clean. We also enjoyed the wonderful breakfasts. The Mascagni Hotel is in a very central location making it easy for foreign tourists like ourselves, to return to our base in between sight seeing, shopping etc. The hotel staff deserve special mention as they were very helpful and friendly at all times.

It is a shame that such a fine hotel does not have free and reliable Internet access.
