Masseria Rossella

I really liked the house, gardens and surroundings! In September are not many people at this hotel which makes the stay very quiet and relaxing. Nice rooms. Food (the place is registered in the Slow Food guide) is excellent. Price for dinner is low considering what is offered. Personnel is very friendly. Knowledge of some Italian is recommended.

The accomodation, surroundings and food were stunning! Staff was really helpful.

When the boss of the facility left (at night and sometimes during the day), there was no one who could speak English. The Italian speaking staff did their best to help though.

In complete darkness when you came home at night and could not park near farm entrance, very dangerous walk to find room. Need lights for customers Breakfast very poor No menu offered for evening meals, dont think they wanted to cook Staff need to learn to speak better English We had to ask for toilet roll 3 times,it should be kept topped up as you would except Water system very poor, shower and sink very poor water flow and one day there was no water flow at all, could not wash

My wife and I enjoy staying not only in cities, but also in country locations. Our trip to Sicily was to see the beauty of the land to search for distant relatives. We were successful on both accounts. We stayed in Masseria Rossella on our last night in Sicily and it was wonderful. The location, the setting, the room, the staff and the dinner were all great. I would recommend Masseria Rossella to anyone wanted a rural experience in Sicily, completmented by great food, beautiful scenery and attentive staff.

die herrlich ruhige Lage mitten in der Natur, die geschmackvoll eingerichteten Räume des alten Guthofs, die unglaubliche Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter, das ganz hervorragende Abendessen von Maria, welches ich nur jedem empfehlen kann

Gastvrijheid wordt met hoofdletters geschreven. Prima onderkomen met heerlijk eten en bijzonder vriendelijk personeel. Aanrader!

In deze periode van het seizoen was het zwembad nog niet open.

La tranquillità e il silenzio assolutamente impagabili il panorama dal terrazzino.

Presa una bottiglia di vino come aperitivo nel patio accompagnata da patatine e arachidi, mi sarei aspettato altro per essere in una masseria. Per cena sala ristorante piena di zanzare. Per colazione un disastro,io avrei portato degli yogurt( che mancavano) spremuta di arance fresche e non succo di arance caldo e avrei evitato di portare marmellata acida (vedi conservazione e/o scadenza ) visto che era fatta in casa.(da quanto tempo?)

Der Gutshof ist geschmackvoll und aufwendig renoviert, die Anlage mit dem großzügigen Innenhof hat eine sehr wohltuende Atmosphäre, das Abendessen ist ausgesprochen schmackhaft und reichhaltig und wird von dem Ehepaar Vasile und Maria Dohotaru gekocht und serviert: Maria kocht und Vasile zelebriert das Servieren in einer Art Butleruniform mit weißen Handschuhen und würdigem Auftreten. Die Aufenthaltsräume sind großzügig und stilvoll gestaltet. Aber die Hauptsache: in einer sehr unangenehmen Situation wurde mir selbstlos und sehr effektiv geholfen: mein Navi führte mich auf einen vielleicht kürzeren, aber am Ende unbefahrbaren Weg, so dass ich 500 m unterhalb des Gutshofes eine Reifenpanne hatte. Vasile und Maurizio (der junge Manager) fuhren mit dem Jeep zu meinem Auto, Vasile wechselte den Reifen, Maurizio fuhr dann die restliche Strecke mein Auto über den sehr holprigen Feldweg zum Haus. Das war am Sonntagnachmittag. Am frühen Montagmorgen brachte Maurizio meinen kaputten Reifen in die Stadt zur Reparatur und um 11 Uhr konnte ich - nachdem Vasile wieder den Reifen montiert hatte - mit dem reparierten Reifen weiterfahren. Eine Bezahlung dieser zeitlich aufwendigen Hilfe wurde von beiden abgelehnt.

beau site, architecture accueillante - environnement protégé un peu hors du monde Calme (sauf le chien la nuit), bon accueil et service (efficace et chaleureux)

Dificulté d'accés tarifs des repas, menus imposés, cuisine familiale copieuse mais cher rapport qualité/ prix d'autant que l'éloignement nous rend captif

Een fantastisch uitzicht over het dal en de bergen daarachter. Prima ontvangst door Engelssprekende jongeman en erg vriendelijk personeel. Erg lekker eten (geen kaart maar dagmenu) en ontbijt. Ze verkopen ook zelfgeproduceerde producten als wijn en olijfolie. Als je van absolute rust houdt, is dit een prima locatie. Geen andere restaurant of winkel in de buurt.

Geen wifi of internetmogelijkheid. Geen De Engelssprekende jongeman verdween na ons ingeschreven te hebben waardoor we daarna met 'handen en voetenwerk' moesten communiceren met het overigens heel erg vriendelijke personeel dat erg zijn best deed met een enkel woordje Engels. De locatie is erg afgelegen in 'the middle of nowhere' en het laatste stuk naar de masseria gaat over een zandweg. Aankomst in het donker lijkt me om die reden niet fijn.
