Masseria Santa Teresa  

A lot. Breakfast was below everything and got worse during the stay - once after the weekend, it became dreadful as the kitchen was not available any more, which not only meant no restaurant, but also a breakfast which was not acceptable and noise and dust from morning 7 am till 6 pm. If at least they would have stopped during breakfast, so that we could have talked or if they would have started at a decent hour ... Staff is not friendly either. No alternatives were offered.

Nice place with a wonderful location among the olive trees, situated on a hillside with a splendid view on Monopoli and the Adriatic below. Generally very clean and well kept, with nice gardens and with a very good restaurant too.

What this place is missing, is the spirit and soul of Italy. The family room we booked was nothing more than a room for 2 people with a sofa and extra camp-bed. It generally looked like a naked bunker with hardly any space for storage of luggage. The pretty pictures of rooms shown on the website turned out to be of the matrimonial suites only. Misleading! The biggest problem though, is the fact that this Masseria is constantly used for parties and feasts. In one week time, there was an anniversary, a baptism, an evening party, a wedding and the whole of the village seemed to be around the (public?) swimming pool on 15th August. As the parties go on and the music plays, tourists in their hotel rooms have to cope with many sleepless nights... We mentioned our concerns at the reception. The guy at the desk simply started a conversation with another person while we were talking. In the days that followed, we were treated indifferently and several minor problems such as the lack of two more glasses in the room or a clogged shower were not treated seriously. Despite its beauty, the masseria and its staff, because of the commercial approach and lack of hospitality never succeeded in making us feel at home in this country we love so much and where we found so many friendships and 'savoir vivre' in previous years.

We were very happy with our stay at Santa Teresa. It's a great place to be: a lovely panorama of the city of Monopoli and the Adriatic sea, a beautiful swimming pool and terrace/patio. Because of its position, high against a hill, there seems to be always a refreshing wind, which even during the very hot summer of 2012, made high temperatures bearable. The rooms are very nice and clean. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly and hospitable. This was - without question - one of our best holidays ever.

Great location amongst olive trees with great views towards ocean. Friendly staff. Great food. Small scale, romantic get away with nice swimmingpool. A bonus was the proximity to Alberobello and its Trulli houses. Worth visiting.

They had a Spa price list in the room but it turned out to be that they had to call a beautician to come over. No actual spa facilities at the hotel. Bit misleading.

Beautiful location,well presented in an olive grove.Peaceful and relaxing. Lovely pool with good quality sun beds.Poolside restuarant.Ideally situated for the coastal towns and for Alberobello and the grotto'S.Someone on a previous review wrote that it was noisy from the road....I Don't know how that could be as the Masseria is set about half a mile from the road and only a few cars around.

This is a family run buisness, very little English spoken. We were given hardly any information about the facilities,both in the room and around the hotel.The only things said to us we're hello and goodbye!!! If they are using international sites such as Booking.Com and therefore expecting other nationalities I would recommend getting a better grip of the universal language of English.I Understand that to Italians breakfast is normally light and is mainly pastries and cakes, my husband who is a diabetic found it hard to have a substantial breakfast, there were so many inconsistencies, sometimes eggs sometimes fruit salad, basically when it's gone it wasn't replenished.

It was a great stay, the pool is great and cooled us off, we got served lunch at the poolside and admired the Countryside and the ocean far down. The room was large and clean, the breakfast sumptious and the coffee also very good. A place the hang out, relax and enjoy a good meal, the children also loved it and the large 'horizon pool' was used 'overtime, for hours and hours. Our compliments also to the Owner Leonardo, who is a great host.

A really cool masseria in the middle of an olive grove with a view of the ocean at a distance. The place is a tranquil oasis and very nicely decorated with the old style combined with new modern design. We arrived in the evening and left after breakfast, just needing a stop over on our way north, but regretted not having more time. It would have been nice to stay and lounge by the pool. The dinner was excellent and the fennel salami especially delicious. And very friendly staff. The rooms were nice and clean with comfortable beds. The suite a bit strangely layed out, but quite cool. The standard room was still really big and also very nice. Finally, the breakfast was really well stocked with bread, cheese, ham and fresh fruits in addition to the sweets italians are so fond of. And fresh squeezed orange juice as an added plus. I can highly recommend it and would dfinitely stay there again.

Schöne ruhige Lage mitten im Olivenhain (Auto ist empfehlenswert), ideal für Ausflüge in die Umgebung geeignet, schöner Poolbereich mit Meerblick, Zimmmer (Juniorsuite mit Balkon) entspricht dem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, zu unserer Reisezeit (Mitte Mai) waren wir fast die einzigen Gäste d.h. viel Platz am Pool und Ruhe beim Frühstück

Frühstück war im Innenbereich - wär in der Gartenanlage schön gewesen

Het is een schitterend aangelegd resort. Onze vrienden noemden het een posh resort. Prachtige tuin met een heel mooi zwembad en een schitterend uitzicht op een vallei met in de verte de Adriatische zee.

De wifi verbinding werkte slecht in de hotelkamer. Er wordt slecht Engels gesproken in de receptie.

Professionalità del personale,ubicazione,cucina,confort. Diciamo che merita il soggiorno che parli di lavoro od altro.

Se vogliamo proprio trovare qualcosa è un po fuori "mano". Anche se secondo me è la sua bellezza

environnement piscine avec vue pongeante sur la campagne environnante, beauté du lieu et du paysage (mutitude d' oliveraies), proximité des sites touristiques(comme polignano al mare, ostuni, monopli ,caves...), gentillesse personnel et serviabilité, qualité restaurant, calme = Endroit amenant à la detente et au depaysement. bon rapport qualité/ prix

Seule petits defauts si l'on peut dire : chambres pour familles ( 3 ou 4) sans separation enfants et parents. pas assez de porte-serviettes et pas de baignoire .

La masseria è circondata da imponenti ulivi, la struttura si presenta bene e lo staff è molto gentile, la zona della piscina è molto suggestiva con un fantastico belvedere e la posizione è veramente strategica poco distante dal centro di Monopoli e sono facilmente raggiungibile località adorabili quali Polignano a Mare, Alberobello, Conversano e Ostuni. La puglia è fantastica e il cibo è ottimo!

L'illuminazione della strada per arrivare alla masseria è nulla, la colazione per un 4 stelle dovrebbe sicuramente migliorare, inoltre le stanze sono pulite ma ho soggiornato in una Suite, precisamente quella degli Ulivi, a mio avviso non degna di questo nome, l'arredamento era molto minimale, consiglio di aggiungere un cestino accanto allo scrittoio o quanto meno di metterne uno più grande nel bagno.

Struttura elegante e raffinata, immersa nel verde ricco di ulivi millenari. La storia e la tradizione contadina adattate all,eleganza ed il confort di oggi, fanno di questa struttura una delle masserie di riferimento di tutta la zona. In posizione strategica per raggiungere molte località turistiche. Alberobello, Castellana, poligamo, Putignano, ecc. La colazione generosa, viene servita in una suggestiva stalla antica, in pietra pugliese, restaurata ed adattata allo scopo. Il cibo vario e raffinato. Sicuramente da ritornare in primavera o estate, per godere degli spazi aperti e della bellissima piscina panoramica.

Le camere da triple e quadruple, sono in una struttura esterna e più moderna rispetto alla masseria, ampie, mancava qualche appoggio sia in camera che nel bagno. L, 'armadio I tipo open, iil quarto letto costituito da una brandirà pieghevole che non e' il massimo per una struttura 4 stelle. Le foto che sono riportate sul sito, indicano le stanze interne alla masseria, sicuramente più suggestive e forse confortevoli.

Le cadre de verdure. La vue. Le calme. Le charme du bâtiment. La décoration de la chambre La gastronomie des repas du soir. Mets délicieux. Cuisine traditionnelle et inventive, tout en gardant le goût de chaque ingrédient. Délicieux petit-déjeuner. Très bonne situation par rapport aux villes intéressantes à visiter dans ;les Pouilles

Unieke ligging. Lekker en betaalbaar eten. Zeer goed onderhouden en proper

Zwembad is jammer genoeg niet verwarmd, was ijskoud, ondanks buitentemperatuur van 23 graden.

Nous avons adoré le site,au milieu des Oliveraies et avec vue sur la mer. Également l'accueil de Rachel qui manie très bien la langue française, la décoration aussi bien à l'intérieur qu'à l'exterieur(piscine et jardin magnifiques) et la chambre spacieuse et d'un excellent confort.

Super schöne Lage, sehr schöne Anlage und sehr schöne Zimmer.
