This was one of the most unique places we have ever stayed. The buildings were lovely, the view was amazing and the staff was top notch. It was quite a drive to get there, but totally worth it. The sunrise was beautiful!
Shower door was broken. You couldn't drink the tap water, but we were not given any water upon arrival. Thankfully we had brought some with us. We were there in October 2014, and the farmers in the area were burning their fields so it was very smoky.
The staff were excellent, welcoming, helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable, the room nicely furnished and decorated (usually not the case with many agriturismo). The grounds were extensive with lots of different areas. The food was good, if not excellent.
Fabulous location, food and staff.
Light on all night outside the bedroom.
Historic getaway in rolling hillside.
This really is taking time off - far away from anything and you will feel like you were put back in time with romans when you will go down there to the swimming pool bearfooted. Great for more than a day, which we did.
A perfect location for those seeking seclusion and relax, just in the middle of Sicily, far above the autumn mists lying in the nearby valleys.
We had a problem with the kitchen stove in the rented apartment - apparently, caused by a gas leakage. Needs to be carefully checked.
- fantastic scenery, quiet secluded place - good restaurant with a very nice atmosphere - fantastic breakfast with many choices - in general staff was colaborative
- too difficult to find, there should be more signs in the neighborhood - we got there at around 11pm, because we got lost and people from a nearby city drove us to the area... it was an unpleasant experience at first - we became friends, so eventually it turned out to be a good experience - no windows in the room - I didn't like that - lots of bugs in the room - it's a rural area
Incredible, home-cooked food made with fresh, organic ingredients. Delightfully attentive staff and superb service. Simply stunning surroundings and impeccably furnished public areas.
The pool could have been in slightly better condition (i.e. cleaner and perhaps a tiled bottom), but it didn't really bother me.
After an interesting rural journey it was wonderful to arrive at MS. The scale of the buildings and surrounding views are magnificent.
Nothing.some might expect TV in room but we were happy to go to bar which is a fabulous room .
amazing place if you're looking for countryside rustic chalet and eco tourism. Stylish , elegant, grandiose rustic lifestyle, far away from cities, noise and all - we loved gazing at the stars at night and breathing the clean air! picturesque views on the surrounding hillsides. Was a perfect place to stay on our honeymoon! :)
the pool area had a lot of flies (in September) this was annoying
Staff were so friendly, great food, amazing tranquil location. Beautiful terrace to sit and relax.
There is a lot of positive things to say but I shall highlight the negatives. Food, surroundings, silence etc. 1 Pool not accessible to handicapped people. 2. TV & and WiFi in room are a must 3. Room 4 smelt of drainage 4. Shower floor outside tub too dangerous and slippery.
wonderful place, good service, friendly owners, excellent food, good swimming pool....
Perfect location for relaxing. Nice old farm, place, pool, garden et cetera.
Bad coffee by breakfast, (in Italy!). Nice place but without a cozy atmosphere, mainly in the restaurant. Terrible music during breakfast and dinner.
Weather Scenery Food Building
Flies near pool - take inspect body spray with you - it works!
Room, staff and food
Amazing location , bar is very nice , good food
Seeing as it completly isolated you rely on rverything you need from the hotel .. Such as water , food etc and it isnt cheap , which makes the stay more expensive unless you bring groceries before hand
Awesome environment, well kept estate and excellent customer care and amazing food catering.
Having a young child to entertain, the only thing that we lacked was a tv in our room.
The breathtaking panorama seen from almost any corner of the facility is priceless. Gourmet dishes are awaiting in restaurant to spoil you. Excellent local wine and also local olive oil.
As the walls between rooms are thin, these are permeable to noises coming from adjacent lodged guests. A family with small children among guests is enough to ruin the tranquility for all others. Even an innocent yell sounds like thunder amplified by the contrast with the surrounding silence.
It's a great place to stay and relax in the middle of Sicily. The rooms are basic but very nice, clean bathroom. The swimming pool is located a bit away from the main building and is well maintained and has enough chairs to relax. The restaurant serves very good dishes and before and after diner you can have a drink in the very nice decorated old barn.
Don't use the GPS and if you use than use the coordinates. Take A19/E932 and exit Tremonzelli. This should be mentioned on the website or booking site.
We stayed a few days at Susafa and enjoyed very much the lovely place and the wonderful setting. It is a bit of a rough ride to get to the hotel itself, as some of the last kilometers are driven on minimally- or un-paved roads (but in decent condition), but the mountains are gorgeous and the fresh breeze was so needed to cool down in hot July. The room was spotless and convenient, and the entire estate is so large that it never feels crowded (and there is literally nothing around so the feeling of secludedness lends well to a relaxing stay). The pool is located within a two minutes' walk from the rooms, which means that no noise from the pool can reach you while you are relaxing. There are lots of shaded spots around the entire estate, in which to lounge and enjoy the breezes. The staff were friendly and helpful. Eating areas and bar are in the main buildings, very nicely set. The breakfast (included in room cost) was nice and offered many options, and the restaurant serves really good food as well (it was a great option for dinner since getting to a nearby city is a minimum 20 minutes drive). In the vicinity of Susafa there are some nice locations to visit, and Cefalu (on the beach) is not far (about 40 minutes drive). It was a great place for relaxing and we enjoyed our time.
- takes time to get out of the farm roads to the other cities
if you want to spend one night away from everything and everywhere, you should definitely go to this hotel. you can watch the milky way and stars, enjoy lovely food.
there is nothing around the hotel so if you don't have enough cigarettes, baby food, etc with you, it can be a bit hard. also, the pool is not so promising.
lanscape - rooms -
pool - not very clean if you want to read a book and enjoy the pool / view - not possible a bit noisy because of children around.
Beautiful spot for relaxing 2 days. The staff were very good and very helpful.
Very difficult to find think they could be more helpful in their directions and more signage needed on the way.The road was not as bad as we first expected but you do need to take care.Internet was available but not down at your room level.
location rest beautiful sight
