nice appartment with all the facilities. helpful staff
the bathing area is a bit small.
The street name wasn't exactly correct. We were waiting outside for half an hour and the phone number was incorrect. We were going to leave, but we managed to catch her in time. There should be more detail in what to look for (photos!).
Excellent location, full amenities, quiet area, tram station 2 minutes away, 10 minutes tram trip from Allemane Stazione and the historical center. Very friendly and caring owner. Ideal opportunity for family stay. A couple of very good restaurants nearby (visit the QuasiQuasi Bar and the La Pinolo)
Smelly trash bins in the street
I would like to make a claim regarding to the appartments we rent throw the Booking.com service in Florencia during 28th-30th May. The address is the San Zanobi 22. We were very dissapointed when we realised about actual area of appartment: according to the Booking information there has to be 40 square meters appartments on the second floor of the building. In real it was 19-20 meters appartment, rebuilded from the hostel. They were situated on the last floor of the building (4th floor at all) and consist of the small kitchen and bathroom (10 meters all together) and the ladder leading to the attic converted into a bedroom (9 meters square). The bed was very uncomfortable.
practically nothing actually.
Max Apartment at Ponte Alle Mosse ruined my Italy vacation. Please do not stay there. If you decide against that advice, do at least read on to be better prepared for the ordeal ahead of you. Staff: Despite my repeated calls to designated number (a call-centre based in Spain, NOT Italy) 2 weeks prior to arrival, I only got through to them when I reached Italy, informing them (as requested) as to my arrival time in Florence. Nonetheless, the manager (Anna) was not at the apartment to greet us. Mind you, this apartment (Ponte Alle Mosse) has to be accessed via a car mechanic shop in a dodgy area of time, so waiting at the dinghy stairwell was an absolute nightmare. Would advise any brave future guest to trod down to the nearby police station to call Anna (20-30 mins arrival time) and wait there to ensure their safety. Facilities: Abysmal. Water was not available on our first night after we got back from dinner. The manager (Anna) did return to our apartment when we called (reaching only at 11pm), but only shrug her shoulders and say that she can do nothing about it that day. No offer to re-site us at another apartment, nor any intention to reimburse us for the inconvenience. The water came back early the next day, when went AWOL again in the evening. We got so worried that we had to keep pots full of water around just in case! Seriously, I was not of the impression that Italy is a third world country where the utilities fail for no rhyme or reason. By the way, the cleaning lady was so lazy, I had to lay out the bedsheets and pillow cases on my own, and i had to pay 30 EURs extra for the cleaning!!! Speaking of which, many hidden fees at Max Apartment. Wifi, as stated cost 5 EURs per day; Anna tried to sell us the use of towels at 5 EURs per pax... So beware. She also claimed that the credit card machine got spoilt yesterday so we had to pay in cash. That is a blatant lie.
Great location. So close to everything.
They charge you a cleaning fee on top of the room rate - only place in Italy after 30 days of traveling to do this.
The bedroom smelled of mold with black mold stains on walls and the courtyard smelled of sewage. Otherwise was nice and convenient.
A woman from Florencia, Marisella, was excellently helpful. She was very nice and kind and explained in a nice way that we had to make all these extra payments.
They did not accept master card as payment so it was difficult for us to pay. The Russian woman who was at the front desk was not very pleasant. She was upset all the time and demanded us to pay many other things that were not included... They charged us for using wifi and they charged us 5 euros to use towels. They also charged to use the air conditioner, they charged also for the maid who cleans the room after you leave, and this payment is not optional. All this information should be included in the description of the hostel as it was very surprising. Also, the hostel has no elevator and our room was in the fifth floor and it was very tiring to go up this flight of stairs after a long days walk. They do not have a person 24 hours at the front desk so if you arrive, you have to wait for a very long time for someone to get there and let you in.
couldn't find the place- wasn't marked and no one there to meet us. Went to the police station after 2 hours and they helped us.
via del Proconsolo 5 Excellent location and wonderful views from the terraces, comfort furniture and good equipment, possibility to make barbeque and dinner with vine on the terrace
Steps (no elevator to the 5th floor), hungry mosquitos, slow personal (be convinced that the housekeeper is waiting for you)
Staff was not freindly. There are several apartments which locate far away from each other. Staff have to run around to open the room for you. The place is not located as advertise. when we turn on stove, electrical power was shut down. So we dont have power to use. There is no instruction on each apartment such as how to turn on power if it is shut down by something. It is far from town.
"CHEATER" "BAD MANNER" 1 The address on Booking .com is not the real apartment address. The real apartment is far from the attractions. 2 There is no mention about 30 euro cleaning fee and towel rental fee when making reservation. 3 When I arrived, I called the contacted person (Anna) many times but she did not pick up and did not call back. So I called the owner to contact her for me. When Anna met with us, the first thing she did was yelling at us with very BAD manner for calling her boss. We got into a 20 min. long argument. Do not pick this place!!!!!!!!
The location is ok. But this city is very small, there are many other choices.
1.before I arrived I found there isnot certain location for my apartment, so I contacted the staff, but there isnot any answer. 2.I walked to the site according to the map. BUT the staff told me, it is that I made mistake, I went to the wrong place, so she had to arrang us to one apartment for one day, the next day I had to move. I really donot know what was wrong with me. At that day I had to wait because they were doing cleaning at about 5pm. 3.About the second apartment is on the ground floor, the smell isnot good, perhaps it is wet. AND the apartment is very small, only suitable for one person, they put a queen size bed in it, so it is very inconvenient to move in the bedroom. 4.The price is too high for this apartment, including the cleaning fee. I DONNOT LIKE TO LIVE THERE any more.
Easy to find - walk straight ahead out of train station across street to McDonalds - that is nazionale. Guelfa down and on left. Zanobi right off guelfa then into Z.Quiet street just off nazionale - easy to walk to sites, bus, train, supermarkets. Local bakery, fruit shop, restaurant, wine shop in street. Plenty of hot water in shower. Quite spacious.
WiFi not the greatest but worked well in the sitting area. Cleaning fee - not come across this before.
Location, kitchen OK, washing machine.
Bit untidy when we arrived. Kitchen/TV room rather small.
We've booked flat at Via Ponte alle Mosse. At first it was a little bit strange to enter through car repair service, but it's ok, just side entrance. The flat is big enough for six person, there is two levels, each one has one bed and sofa. It was our first appartment experience, in general not bad one. Having kitchen let you try make your own florentine steak) We bought meet and vegetables at Marketo Centrale - market in the city center, we highly recommend to visit. The location is not actually in the city center, but not so far to walk, around 15 minutes,
You allow to use heating only six hours per day, it wasn't cold in March, but in winter it can be problem. Wi-fi cost 5 Euro per day, but there is a nice cafe next door with good wi-fi signal for free and perfect coffee with cakes for 5 Euro) The kitchen is not crystal clear, there isn't dishwasher.
The apartment in Guelfa street is very near to the city center and to Santa Maria Novella.
The dooble room where we stay was very small, Cleanliness could be improved. Late arrive is expensive. wi-fi is not free. At the same price there are other location more comfortable in the same area.
Very well located, Anna is straight forward and very kind at the same time (wow), and the place is clean, confortable and well equipped.
The cleaning fee could be cheaper.
Nice and clean apartment, close to downtown and well equiped.
Internet has to be paid seperately.
Good location (Via San Zanobi) close to city centre.
Max apartments has different locations and apartments. The place I rented on Via San Zanobi was a small, low finish and very basic apartment. You have hardly any control over de heating system and the bed was very mediocre. Acceptable for a short city trip of a couple of days, but not recommended for longer periods. Also not recommended for elderly people (or less abled people) considering the many stairs (all Zanobi apartments are located on the third floor).
The lady who met us was nice but we moved apartment 3 times.
We met at the apartment we booked only to be told that it wasn't available but they had another one. We traipsed to the next apartment to be told we could use that one for one night then move again. The noise in the apartment block was unbearable. No sleep. Tiny apartments. No lift. No space to move. Incredibly bad
The apartment was clean. We also weren't aware how little it took in the apartment to overload the electricity circuit but Ana arranged for somebody to come and check it at short notice.
I stayed here with my mother, the apartment was not what we expected as it seemed to differ from the pictures we saw before we booked the room. The apartment was advertised as a ground floor apartment but it was actually up a narrow and steep flight of stairs, which made it difficult for my mother who has trouble walking and also for carrying luggage upstairs. We also had to pay extra when we arrived for whatever reason and felt like we could've booked something better for the same price.
The apartment is located near Florence’s Mercato Centrale, and I have found what I was expecting. I was well received by the staff, namely Maristella, and the place was ordered and clean. Considering a not so expensive budget travel, I strongly recommend the Max Apartments.
wonderfull location with vue on the Cathedral Santa Maria
the lack of elevator (5th floor!), no controm over the heating system (either too hot or too cold as we got only a few hours with heating system on), the absence of parking at close distance although on booking.com it was clearly stated that parking was available closely
very convenient position Well appointed
Lighting a little deficient
