Score from 1309 reviews Good
Great location. Very close to main termini station. Best staff I had come across. Very helpful and patient. I forgot my stuff in my room and the hotel replied promptly and arranged a post for me back to my country. I was grateful. Enjoyed the tub in the toilet. Big and excellent.
Breakfast is good staffs are nice
The central location for access to public transport and restaurants, great staff and good wi fi.
Located on third floor with tiny lift only operating from mezzanine level- would be a problem if you could not carry your own luggage up a flight of stairs, small room,
The location and comfort are ok
Bathroom and shower are extremely small
Very, very small rooms
Location is great. Minutes from Termini, close to the Metro, transit buses, and hop on, hop off tour buses. The staff were eager to please. There are good restaurants nearby. We had trouble with the air conditioning in our room and were given the opportunity to move if we wanted. The rooms are small, but are all you need for a place to sleep.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms decor was good but the room was small double. The hotel is ideally situated within easier walking distant to Termini. Would use the hotel again, having a different room.
On my first night I wanted to watch the football but the telly would not work. Someone come to look at the tv but could not get the thing working, this was sorted the next day. The real problem was the noise which was constant banging, which i was told can only be the air condition, which i don't think was the case but they did offer me another room but i was leaving the next day. another small problem was that the shower was small and doors opening gap was just big enough for me to get through sideways. I had to shower on sixpence and i'm 6ft tall and shower head was fixed at around 5ft, which i could not move. Room 5th floor room 4.
Very clean, modern decor, very friendly and helpful staff, lovely continental breakfast (hot drink of choice, fresh bread rolls, selection of meat and cheese, pastry options, fruit, cereal, yogurt etc) which we now miss!, comfy bed, double glazed windows and shutters that block out the busy street below, air conditioning, nice modern shower room, plenty of storage, umbrellas to borrow when a random storm hit, supermarket in street outside for refreshments, right next to station and metro, walking distance to the colliseum area and other sights eg. Spanish steps, trevi fountain. Thankyou Hotel Max for a lovely stay :-)
We didn't mind it but word of warning for those who aren't keen on climbing stairs....the hotel is 4 floors up and the lift is a slow old-fashioned cage one. The daily climb did tone up our legs and bum though ;-)
Staff were friendly, good breakfasts and the complementary happy hours wine and chips were a pleasant surprise.
Not exactly central to tourist locations however having the metro close was handy.
The location was good, meaning you can get anywhere, by foot. Termini is 1 minute away. Staff was nice.
Rooms were to small, can hardly get 2 suitcases inside. You have to jump directly into bad, no space at all. The shower is too small, so if you are not fit, can hardly get inside. The location, was good, meaning you can get immediately anywhere, by food. Termini is at 2 minutes. Otherwise, bad neighborhood, strange people, didn't feel safe. The building, it's a condo building and hosts a couple of "hotels". So the "hotel" means 2 floors in that location.
great location service was happy
the pictures were a little deceiving AC was a meager mildly cool breeze Shower was pretty bad
Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was well presented and had some nice choices.
Rooms were a bit small. The ensuites are too small for the amount of stuff cramed in to them. I would have preferred to have a bigger shower in exchange for the bidet. This could easily be replaced with a bidet spray as in Asian hotels.
Good location, next to Termini station. The room was very clean and quiet. Breakfast was satisfactory. Perfect wifi signal on the room.
A little bit away from city center.
Closeness to station, elevator
Two rooms booked but not on same floor. Couldn't visit because of locked security door
hard to find - lack of signage once inside the long entry with a number of doors - no signs had to carry bags up flight of stairs lift is very old with heavy doors and not reliable doors to level 5 also very heavy and bang at night time - hard to sleep bathrm has no soap holder in shower or place for shampoo etc there is no shelf near vanity for toiletries air con was not very effective room was small no room for luggage shower door only opens about 30cm - very hard to get in and out tv had limited choice no kettle or tea/coffee in room reception was hard to find - it was on level 3 - no signs
It was quite unusual that a hotel was located in a building where lots of other things were located as well, don't be confused by the front entrance, it's absolutely different inside! Very clean, very comfortable, room is not very big, but enough for a couple, nice little balcony. WiFi was working very well. The bed was comfy and the design colours (we had orange) are very vivid and cheering. Location is very good if you travel by train (2 mins walk from the train station), also there's a shuttle bus for the airport. Colosseum is within 10-15 min walk. We had a little accident, the A/C grid fell off the wall and hurt my husband, the staff was very helpful with First aid, also we got a discount for one night and complimentary drink, which was very nice. In overall we are pleased and liked our stay there.
Charge is high but with very bad service.
Location was good as we needed to catch the train to the airport for departure. Staff was very helpful. Room was spotless. Breakfast had many choices; fresh fruit, breads, meats, cereal, juices, pastries. More than enough to choose from.
The air conditioning was not very good. As east coasters we have very hot, humid summers and are accustomed to AC. It was about 85 with moderate humidity in Rome but we found the AC inadequate. Can't imagine it mid-July or August when it's REALLY hot.
Close to Termini. Very clean. Staff always available on reception and helpful. Use of computer and printer in reception. Breakfast has excellent choice of yogurts, breads and cakes. Wifi worked properly.
Air con was noisy and controlled from a central system so temperature was too warm and not adjustable in the room. The lift has a manual door which if the previous used does not close, you can not call the lift. Be prepared to use the stairs.
Very clean and welcoming.
A bit small.
We stayed here for our final night as we had to be at the airport for 8am. It is across the road from the main station so if you need to get the bus to the airport or a train early then you are in a great place to do that.
A little cramped in the room so if you have 2 suitcases it can be a struggle!
The staff was very welcoming and useful for providing with tips on how to visit the city. The hotel room had a good size and was welcoming. The hotel is very close to the metro and bus stations, as well as Santa Maria Maggiore.
- The AC in the room didn't work very well. - Parking the car in a garage close by is pretty expensive (around 30 euros p/ day+night)
The staff was really helpful and polite. The breakfast was value for the money. A very good location for tourists , very close to the metro and Termini station. Many restaurants around for a good Italian taste.
Its a small suggestion, the bathrooms can have shower curtains as after a bath the bathroom becomes very wet. But still I would stay there again for my next trip.
Perfect spot to explore Rome. The staff made our stay welcoming and comfortable. The room was clean and fresh. Good value for money.
