Madison Hotel is right across from Rome Termini Station for metro and bus services across the city.
Score from 1821 reviews Good
The hotel is really close to Termini. Airport buses, metro and city bus stations are very close. You can find everything you need markets, restaurants..
There are two many pitchmen around the hotel.
I think it is quite reasonable what you would get for your money. Location wise it was quite good, we were walking back and forth all the time, only took once the public transport. The Collosseum is only around 20 mins far from the hotel. The place has a good infrastructure since it is just around the main railway station. The room was clean and neat although a bit crowded, small. Particularly I did not have a problem with it, since we only stayed 4 nights and were backpacking with a small bag, but if I had had big two luggages with me for a longer stayed, I would have had some problem where to put them. You could barely fit even one big luggage there. The bed was so comfy, of course this is my own personal opinion, but I had a really good sleep there. Way better than my bad at home.
-The room could have used a water boiler, might have been a plus here. -The toilet/bathroom was clean and nice, there is a hairdryer, free toiletries, clean towels every day. Beforehand I did read couple of times that the shower is a bit small, really narrow…. Well that is actually true , but again I wasn’t really bothered about that, I used the shower to actually shower and wasn’t doing any acrobatic stunts. Although there is one thing that should be mentioning, a small thing but that would make a huge difference. I was missing the soap dishes from the side of the hand wash as well as from the shower. Since there were no soap dish in the shower I couldn’t really put anywhere the shampoo etc. and bending down to pick up the soap, shower gel it is a bit tricky since the shower is small. -The breakfast—could use some improvements. I am not saying I stayed hungry after all, however the place was small with only few small tables and there wasn’t really a large selection. To be more precise, 3 types of ham, 2 types of cheese, some jam, bread, apple, biscuits etc. really the basic breakfast. I was missing the good old scrabbled egg, sausage combo also some vegetable. Also if there was a hot water tank, then you wouldn’t have to wait for someone and ask him/her every single time when you’d like to drink some tea, coffee etc.
Wifi is not working!!!!!!
Quiet , clean, good location, free wine taste....
The Price --- €197 for four nights in a lovely room. The Location -- a very very short distance from Terminii -- the major transport hub of Rome. Not the most select of areas --- beggars, unlicenced street vendors and people sleeping rough -- but typical of the situation in many major cities. The daytime staff at reception --- could not have been nicer -- so welcoming on arrival and so helpful while I was there.and nicely curious about you. The free Italian wine at 3.00 p.m. The cleanliness. Great Wi-fi reception.
The breaksfast was very basic. The guy doing the breakfast for was very dour and had to be asked for everything, didn't replace food items unless asked. the guy doing the night shift from 23.00 wasn't a bit friendly compared to the daytime staff -- wasn't rude or anything but had no interest.
Friendly staff - Guilio, Andrea and the bfast staff who serves me Cappuccino every morning
Everything is excellent, except for the strong noise from the street.
Close to Termini station and Colosseum and forum. Great breakfast, fast wifi, good clean bathroom.
Towel heater was so hot that it made the room uncomfortably warm, this forced us to open the window and have a little noise from the street.
- Excellent location, just 3min walk from Central station. - Though the hotel only occupies 2 floors in a building, access is convenient and it's really hotel style of management. - Clean & well-kept. - Breakfast is good. - We were unlucky to meet an unusual failure of the water heating system, allegedly due to the adverse weather. We did not have hot water for shower in 2 out of the 3 nights we stay. Right after we left, their general manager, Loredana Tricca, sent me an email to express their sincere apology. A generous refund of half of the hotel fee as a token of apology was received in a week. We highly appreciate their genuine care for their customers' experience, prompt response and generous compensation for the inconvenience we experienced.
- The room is pretty small, though the thoughtful design satisfies almost all your needs. There's no space for desk work at all. - The obsolete locks of the room & entrance door could be hazardous. We witnessed that the entrance door was locked one morning, likely by other guest. The lock has to be opened by key on both sides. It is surely unable to comply with the standard of a fire escape path.
Convenient location close to the main train station. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good breakfast and complimentary afternoon snack. This is a modest hotel but great value for money given the prices of other hotels in Rome.
Everything was perfect.
Good value and excellent location near metro and train. Room size was adequate and everything working well
everything - comfortable bed, great location, very helpful staff, free wine on arrival Was very impressed by their customer service. A particular example of this was when I accidentally left my watch in the room when I checked out. The gentleman at the front desk of Hotel Max phoned me within 30 mins of my leaving the hotel to let me know. Because of this promptness, I was able to run back (I was waiting at the train station at the time) and pick it up before I flew out. I will definitely book here again when I next return to Rome
nothing - we had a very good stay here
First of all,I would like to thank the management for a surprise bottle of wine in my room as a b-day present. Didn't have the chance to drink it, wanted to bring it home with me ,sad to say,I forgot.Special thanks to Andreas, I've been in Rome 5x, he was the only receptionist who gave trivial informations in some tourist spots, and Julia is very accommodating. For the breakfast, there are a lot of choices. If you ask for tea, they will give you your own pot of hot water ( a plus factor for Irish and British tea lovers ). The location is very close to termini station(easy access to everywhere ) and there is a supermarket few steps away from hotel. There is a radiator in the toilet which is always on,it's nice to use warm towel after shower. Lastly , this is the only 3-star hotel I've stayed in that offers free snack from 3-7pm daily. They offer potato chips, pastries, cookies and tea/coffee. Wifi has good signal. You can even use it while waiting for the elevator.
Well, few minor issues .The room is drafty even if the windows are close. The doors are heavy, noisy and hard to close , you have to give a good pull( with a bang) to close it. I feel terrible if others are disturbed by it. Room is a bit dark. Probably you need to install ceiling light . The location- you have to be vigilant at all times when walking in that street.
Magnificant room with nice relaxing colour. Great breakfast.
The water stucks in the shower.
Central location close to Terminal B.
Breakfast room too small
Liked the Location and very friendly staff. Hotel is 5 min walking distance to Hop On Hop off bus service. Most of the restaurants are nearby. Would highly recommend for travelers who want to explore the city and just want a place to stay and have a nice breakfast.
Nothing in particular, but the place around the hotel tend to become little crowded in the evenings. Bathroom's are small.
Very good WiFi, very friendly and helpful staff, excellent location, lovely coffee,
It was close to railway station and metro Simple hotel but clean, friendly staff and good breakfast
The entrance of the building does not invite, but once inside the hotel part of the building its ok.
the room was great! WIFI strong (there was a routher in out floor number 5 so the signal was always strong) and FREE!!! the breakfast although was european was ++++ the staff were the best and help us with all the question, they were very welcomed, hot water in the bath was all the time, just 30 sec walking to termini and supermarket down the hotel. the room was beautyful and excellent for young couple Score A+++!!! thank you so much
the only thing that make a littile problem was the bath curtain, there's wasn't one so we had to put the small towels on the floor.
Almost Nothing, except staff customer service was fair
Almost Everything except staff customer service was fair
. Extremely helpful and nice staff . Room was fine and comfortable . Stable WiFi . Great central location . Despite its location suprisingly low noise . Clean room, nice towels . Did I mention the extremely nice staff already?
There is absolutely nothing that I was not happy with
Tight toilet cubicle
