La centralité

Le seul et unique bémol : le moment du petit déjeuner, où une dame du personnel a envoyé paître une cliente qui, arrivée quelques quinze minutes avant la fermeture de la cuisine, souhaitait simplement prendre un café et un croissant. D'où le fait d'avoir coché "personnel insuffisant".

Proximité parfaite du centre historique

Le rapport qualité /prix est bon, mais il mérite un relookage complet. Ressemble à des chambres à louer mais pas à un hôtel.

La situation centrale de cet hôtel est intéressante, chambre étonnante par rapport à l'entrée(heureusement)

L'hôtel se trouve au 3e étage d'un immeuble dont l'entrée est peu rassurante, le personnel froid, le décor des communs horrible, impossible de dormir avant 1h du matin à cause du bruit dans les rues

très calme mais cela dépend des chambres, celle de ma collègue était extrêmement bruyante (bruit de la rue et des autres chambres). De même ma salle de bain était correcte mais celle de ma collègue vraiment inutilisable. Donc selon la chambre, on peut recommander l'hotel ou non !

Very good location in the heart of Florence

Room on the street are noisy... don't leave the window open!

I found the location and staff first rate. The staff were friendly and very helpful with directions to places of interest and with bus and train information. It was well located making it easy to see the museums and churches of interest.

I found the room noisy and there was little for me to eat as I am lactose intolerant and gluten sensitive so it would be nice to have had an alternative to milk and bread products. If possible rice milk or soy milk for cereals would have allowed me to eat cold cereal.

The woman on the reception desk was really helpful and went out of her way to find other hotel accomodation for later in the week and to book me on a day trip with a travel agency.

location was excellent - cannot get more central as on the busy street between piazza della signoria and cathedral! slightly 'run down' room (decor) so definitely not for those used to luxurious rooms but i have to say it was very clean and very comfortable! and breakfast was really nice too - lots of choice. Very good value 'budget' style hotel! its on third floor but has a lift!

my friends who stayed in another room were woken by cathedral bells each morning so that may annoy some of you! i only didnt hear them because i am deaf!!!

Hotel Maxim is located at the very heart of Florence. Everything is within a walking distance and most of the important sites are right next to it. They also have free internet (2 points).

The rooms are a bit old (although clean). The breakfast is poor (although edible). Since it is located in a main tourists street it is loud until late at night (but the location is worth it!)

The breakfast was very good... fresh fruit, great pastries, cereal, juices and coffee. The location was perfect... steps from the Duomo and the Uffizi. The air conditioning was the best we found in Italy! It was such a great place to stay for the price.
