In a 17th-century Florentine palace, the Paris is a luxury boutique hotel featuring fresco ceilings and stained glass windows. It is 320 yards from Florence Cathedral.

Featuring a spacious communal terrace with a view of Florence Cathedral, Hotel Balcony offers a central location and friendly service. Its simply furnished rooms are in a typical Florentine building.
Score from 735 reviews Very good
Great location, staff very helpful and a wonderful breakfast excellent value.
Wanted to spend more time but had to return to Rome.
Old and very modest furniture. Breakfast poor
Breakfast was well balanced with cereal, fruit, yoghurt, buns, boiled egg and cheese. Coffee machine used tasty coffee beans. Location for attractions was great. Really enjoyed my stay and staff were really helpful. I would give 8.5 as a score.
If you are elderly then you would need to have accommodation on 3rd floor which is where hotel starts and where restaurant is located for breakfast. No lift to 4th level rooms.
Prime location. Breakfast good. Staff friendly and helpful.
Room so small impossible to open case fully. Shower in a location such that water goes everywhere.
Virw from window, breakfast
the location. very close to the center of the city
secure clean friendly cool nice
So Interesting. Very old outside and modern inside. Good breakfast included, it is rare in the Venice
The staff was really nice and friendly. They were very helpful when it came to booking any tours you were interested in. They went above and beyond when recommending restaurants or things to do. Very close to the duomo and nightlife.
I did not like that we had to leave our keys hanging behind the front desk when going out at night. I understand that the key is heavy but it was frustrating to come back late that night and find our key was not there. A child of another guest had snagged our key. We ended up waking up other guests in our search for our key until one of the hotel employees woke up and gave us the spare key to get into the room. I think they need to rethink their policy of leaving your key when you go out at night. Other than that, I loved this hotel. The location and price are just right!
The location of the hotel is execellent - just between the Florence Dome and Uffizi gallery. It is located in a nice historic building which has a nice feel.
Even though there was supposed to be parking, your car will be taken to a near by garage by garage staff. It can be difficult to find your way to the hotel by car (you have to drive to the historic city center with limited traffic, thru a crowd of tourists, in a labyrinth of one way streets). When we checked out, the staff didnt pay us any attention and kept talking to themsleves in Italian which I found a bit rude.
The staff were very helpful the hotel in middle of everything
How close it was to all amenities
The room was very small
Perfect location for us we walked all over florence, our teenage children found their way around really quickly and went off on their own because the hotel was so central, it was great to escape the crowds in the street going up to our really good air conditoned room. The rooms could do with a bit of general maintience but really this motel was perfect for us, room was comfortable for the four of us, breakfast was ok too, would stay here again,
Didnt have a fridge in the room, so couldnt buy any other food,or drinks but there was a fridge in foyer that sold cheap water,
The staff where nice.
Where do I start, Door missing from cupbord Towels are european ,cotton sheets, dealing with tourists, need toweling. No power during last night, gave 40 percent off for that night. Room very small.Breakfast room cramped ,food just ok.Hotel is one floor on the third floor.
right in the middle of two major piazzas so most of the places are within walking distance. staff were kind enough to let me leave my bag at their reception after i had checked out.
rooms are not sound proof so you can hear the cleaners within the building. My room faced a quiet street so the noise from the street wasn't an issue.
the stuff are good and helpful great location
breakfast area too small wifi no speed at all
Location was very good.
It was terrible to get to the hotel by car because of many narrow and complecated ways there. Breakfast should be improved.
Location is in the center.
Wi-Fi speed to low and breakfast to less choice.
Hotel Maxim was in the heart of Florence, close to all the historical sites. The beds were comfortable, the A/C was quiet, and the complimentary breakfast provided many delicious options.
Nothing - we had a lovely stay.
decor of hotel lobby and walkway was excellent. breakfast was simple and good. accessibility to place of interest and food was excellent
wifi was weak
Such an amazing position! We walked all over Florence,, and it was nice to come home to have a shower and relax in our air condioned room because it was july and so hot outside, we would return to hotel maxim, maybe a fridge in the room would be great and a bit more general maintience in the rooms, overall a great stay,
All pretty good, as I said a fridge in the room would be great for a family,
After initial shock at unwelcoming entrance foyer, (hotel is on 3rd floor), we were pleasantly surprised by the excellent reception area and very friendly and professional staff. The location is perfect for easy walking to all the favorite Florence sights. We loved our stay in Hotel Maxim.
Unfortunately we weren't able to stay there as my traveling companion became very ill and was hospitalised for 9 days. We had to cancel the rest of our trip and return home. We missed Florence entirely. Hotel Maxim were extremely unsympathetic to our situation and insisted on keeping our full payment of more than a week, even though originally we had booked a "book now pay later" price, and had elected to pay in advance. Thankfully other accommodation places and tour companies were more empathetic.
The location was safe and very central. i walked around everywhere and had a pleasant stay. The breakfast was great. they have wide selection of bread and spread. coffee is great also :)
it was a bit far from the train station by walk.
The best thing about this hotel is the location. Everything you'll want to see is within a 10-15 minute walk. A couple of blocks north is the Duomo. Another 10 minute walk north is the Accademia. A 10 minute walk south of the hotel is the Piazza della Signoria, Santa Croce, the Uffizi, etc. The hotel is on the 3rd floor and is very quiet, and comfortable. Wifi signal is strong.
The breakfast was mediocre. They serve pastries, bread, canned fruit cocktail, yogurt, and cereal. But there are shops everywhere to get something else if you.
