On second thought, we must add more to our review.
On second thought, we must add more to our review. We asked before booking about the time to get to the airport(for a very early flight), and the reply was "It only takes 15 minutes and we'll show you when you get here." It seemed okay, so we booked. But, in fact, it was 40 minutes, in just regular traffic. And, the cost was by taxi for 37 euros. We had to run through the airport and arrived at the gate with only 10 minutes to spare!! Very stressful and unfair to us.
When it said breakfast provided, we had to prepare it for ourselves. Also, the night before, we were told that the little town had several options for purchasing dinner but the options were closed. The place to buy ticket for the bus was closed, so we walked back the 1 km., maybe more, to get back. The hosts didn't seem to think about this.
The kindness nature of the hosts made us accept the situation with good humor and we tried to be positive. However, in hindsight, we were disappointed. Although thee accommodations itself and the hosts welcome was fine, we regret to say we cannot recommend booking here.

I was visiting to watch the Italy V Wales Six Nations game in Rome. I honestly could not believe what an archaeological historic area Ostia Antica is. So glad i found the time to visit the Roman ruins.

The owners were a lovely Italian couple who spoke enough english for us all to understand each other. Their home is in a great location that allowed us to walk to the ruins in Ostia Antica and to a place for dinner. I was near Christmas and the home was decorated nicely.
Their grandson drove us to the airport, for a charge of course, and we arrived in plenty of time for our flight.
We would stay there again, and recommend it to others.

We stayed one night.
We stayed one night.
It was a clean and comfortable place, the staff were helpful and friendly.
the transfer to the airport was easy and short.
the onsite resturant was good.
we did not have time to use any of the other facilities.
the included breakfast was a little sparce, just cake, pastry, juce and coffee.
the advertised glutin free options were not very obvious, however we did get 2 small packs of very nice busicuts for breakfast, that the waitress found out the back.
all in all a nice place for a stop over.

The archaeological site is enormous and slightly...
The archaeological site is enormous and slightly overwhelming; 5-6 hours was enough for me, although a second visit would have been good. There are some amazing sites there including mosaic flooring, some of which is unrestored and I was surprised to find it actually underfoot. The cafe in the site served lovely salads and hot dishes, not too pricey.
I didn't explore the town but ate at a good bistro for reasonable cost.
My partner and I decided to do things a little different on our 4th holiday destination being Rome by staying on a boat and we were glad we made the choice. The view of the river was glorious while sitting in the lounge and gazing out noticing fish and beautiful swans floating by. Paula and Marko were wonderful hosts easy to get along with and helpful in every way, even their cat was super friendly. Getting on and off the boat was also very easy.
If you have been thinking of experiencing something peaceful and tranquil, I suggest do it.
Have stayed here previously, it is a simple hotel great for visiting Ostia.
Reception quick & efficient.
The rooms are clean, beds & pillows comfy, quiet location. . As repeat customers, we were given room 222 which has a nice balcony overlooking pool.
The breakfast, if included is simple Italian style. Ours was not included so 7€ per person a little pricey for coffee and croissant...
There is a local restaurant nearby walking distance with excellent food.
Will return for the good value and good night sleep.
A fantastic single night stay. I arrived in Rome a bit late and wanted to stay near the airport, and I'm glad I did! The couple who own the place were very helpful, their airport shuttle was reasonably priced and they were kind enough to give me a ride to a restaurant for dinner as well! There are also several adorable and friendly cats at the property--they weren't pushy, so it wouldn't be an issue if you don't like cats or are allergic, but if you do like cats (like me) you get a big bonus to your visit!
It’s off the beaten path, which is fine after a week in Rome. They are super nice and accommodating….they drove us to the ruins one day, and then provided an airport shuttle for a reasonable cost. They don’t do daily housekeeping so just ask for fresh towels if you need them. The included Breakfast is basically anything you want to order downstairs, not a typical included breakfast, but equally fine. We enjoyed the family run vibe.
It is a very special neighborhood, medieval, around a beautiful castle and chapel. And very close to the archeological site of Ostia Antica. One feels like outside of this world. The host, Luca, is a very efficient and gentle person. The design of the appartment is a superb mixture of modern and very old. Love it !
Our host was super helpful and provided great local information about transit and local history. The B&B is located in a quaint medieval village close to the Ostia Antica historic site and is easily reached from Rome by public transportation.
It was also easy to reach the Rome airport from this location.
Clean place with everything you need. We liked the stay here. Host was in touch all the time and helped with questions we had about the apartment. Cafes and supermarket near the place as well as the public transport station.
Clean rooms , not big but nice . Nice stuff trying to help . Relatively close to Rome airport about 20 minutes drive , the parking is on the street near the property. Exactly what you need for one night stay before flight.
The apartment was in a great location - right by Ostia Antica and close to the airport to catch our early-morning flight. It was a very nice apartment and the only regret is that we only spent our last night there!
Very nice room with private bath. Good air conditioning. Very good breakfast. Very nice hosts, I wish we spoke Italian. Good location for exploring Ostia Antica. Overall a very nice B&B experience.
Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. They provided a shuttle service for a very reasonable price. Gave great recommendations and were reasonably close to the ruins at Ostia Antica.
The apartment is big and nice, well located in a flower-filled alley near an old castle. It was a very nice stay there. The hostress is very nice and helpful and provide much help to us.
Location was fantastic! Very close to the archeological sight of Ostia Antica and the old borgo. Very quiet area. All the comforts needed including a fantastic TV!
