Offering panoramic views of Saint Peter's Square from its rooftop terrace, Residenza Paolo VI is actually a former monastery, and is the only hotel right on Piazza San Pietro.

Close to metro line and Vatican city friendly staff lift if needed very clean and modern
small room very poor shower we were locked out with no aid/help had to find as it is a floor of an apartment block
I think you would really struggle to find a fault with MDM. The rooms are beautifully finished to an extremely high spec, I had a great sleep on the extremely comfortable bed. It is tucked away down a street a 5 minute walk to the Vatican or a 20 minute leisurely enjoyable walk to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. The staff are very welcoming. Breakfast is brought to your bed everyday at a time that suits you. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. There is also a free mini bar with cold drinks. There is free wifi throughout. The hotel is immaculate and lives up to its luxury title I would highly recommend MDM Apartments.
Nothing at all.
From the outset the apartment was first class, The lady who checked us in was wonderful and so helpful in every way and even gave us a generous discount when we upgraded to the honeymoon suite The breakfast was better than you can expect and delivered to your convenience, The area cannot be bettered as you are 2 minutes from the metro and 5 minutes walk to the Vatican and if your relatively fit all the attractions are in walking distance including the collosium, Spanish steps etc. I cannot praise the rooms and there staff enough and will be staying again on our next trip to Rome.
Very good WIFI Very close to the tube stop "Ottaviano"
Small room Sewage odors in bathroom Light Breakfast served only from 8am TV set not working
This room was not luxury although it was advertised as such. The bathroom was tiny, the mini bar was not refilled and we were not given bath robes as advertised.
We booked the honeymoon suite for 3 nights. The staff is really nice and helpful. They all speak perfect English. The location is EXCELLENT. The room was great, spacious, clean and stylish. We will definitely consider this hotel on our next trip to Rome and recommend it to our friends.
The fridge was not working and WIFI was really poor in our room. Breakfast was basic (really basic).
The breakfast was great with many drink and bread options. The metro is right outside and made getting around extremely easy. The Vatican was just under a 5-minute walk, which also means taxis are very accessible when you want to avoid the 4:30-6:30 pm metro rush. The room was larger than I expected for a European hotel. So we weren't completely cramped. The bed was extremely comfortable after days and nights of walking and partying in Rome. The shower had good pressure and stayed hot. Oh and the staff spoke English well enough to answer MOST of our questions. All in all, we really enjoyed the hotel.
There weren't many things to complain about. It's a little tough to find the first time because you will only know it by the address. The sign is a small plaque, barely visible from the car. The day we left, we needed scar service but were told by the attendant we needed to book a day in advance. Then we came back 3 hours later and asked a different attendant, and he said we couldn't because we had to book an HOUR in advance. If you cannot walk stairs at all, you cannot get to the hotel which is on the second floor. There is a lift, but you do need to go up a few tall steps to get to it. It did seem odd that the front desk guy didn't know of what I thought were simple things like a bar that's open late (we got in at midnight) or places to go besides the Vatican. Other than that, no real complaints. If you do leave your bags with the desk, make sure they remember which room they store them in. They might wind up in a room where someone is already staying. All together, this was a great value.
Security of our room. Pleasant staff & helpful. Breakfast was very good & on time every morning
1st room we had had a very small shower. Standard room
The hotel was perfectly located, near the Vatican and the Metro (that is the easiest way to get around). Breakfast in bed was nice. Good soundproofed room. Good with the free mini-bar (the first night).
Definitly not a luxury hotel 8,3 is a very high grade. It looks better on the pictures then it really is. Bad cleaning generally (the bathtub was not clean when we came). They didn't change the bed once in 4 days. No where to put the clothes (only 4 gallows) had to have the clothes in the suitcase. The bathtub was only for one person and if it came water on the floor, it didn't drain. The room was generelly rundown. Worthless Wi-fi. They didn't take American express.
Wifi didn't reach our room
Location is good close to St Marks Square. Room size was good.
Laundry room was just outside our door causing an overwhelming detergent smell in the room. Shower had no water pressure and minimal hot water. Breakfast was minimal for a Luxury Guesthouse.
Location. Despite of all the problems the staff tried to be helpful.
Room was very small, completely different interior and size from the one displayed on booking.com. No reception between 8pm and 8am. Breakfast options are poor. Also impossible to have a comfy breakfast as they serve it in your room and there is no enough space. Bathroom is also small and not luxury at all. We paid a higher price to have a "jacuzzi" in our room. Well it was a small bathtub with a few jets, looked old and used so we did not feel like to try it.
location was excellent. 2 minute walk from subway. staff were great and having a lift was a bonus. free mini bar was a plus. very satisfied.
good service, friendly staff, nice and comfortable ameneties
It was very easy to find, a two minute walk to the metro. The hotel deco was beautiful, the staff were fantastic. The free mini bar for one night was very generous. The location of the hotel was perfect. We were very happy
The WiFi was a little slow at times.
