It was so loud outside and couldn't sleep till 2AM. It was Friday night....

Like almost everyone else said the best part of this structure is the patio/terrace. Lovely and peaceful. Breakfast would be better with more alternatives! Not easy to find because it's in the centre of Naples, narrow streets but very safe.

Very friendly and obliging staff. Lively location next to Santa Chairs and near Metro at Pa Dante. Some excellent local eateries not to mention the pasticcerire! Rooms on the terrace are quiet and spacious with views of the church.

Be aware the street and building entry area is pretty grotty looking. This the old city, warts and all. Be sure to get a room on then terrace side. The street side economy rooms are pretty dark and very noisy on Friday and Saturday night.

Good location. The room was basic but clean as was the bathroom. I arrived later than expected - after normal reception hours - but a member of staff was happy to wait and make sure that I was settled in before leaving.

The first night was very noisy. It was Easter Monday and so there were a lot of people around until very late and a party below I think. The second night was a lot quieter.

Friendly staff who gave us information about the area and what to see in the old city. The adress was convenient for our historical interest. Our room was clean, quiet and the beds okey. The view over Santa Chiara was just the wall. Not so exiting. The staff gave us good help when we left by calling a taxi and help with the heavy luggage.

The building was renovating and an elevator was under installation, so the entrance was dusty, dirty and the stairs very small to bring a heavy suitcase 3 floors up. Breakfast 8.00 a bit too late and quite poor. Coffee American was instant,juice, butter/jam/nutella, cracker bread and an old croissante!

The location is INMEJORABLE. Staff knowledgeable and friendly. I will go back

I was disturbed by the noise from neighbours upstairs mooving furniture and walking steps until 23:00. But maybe it was only the two nights I stayed there.

The hotel is a little bit hard to find, because it locates in the old town. But it is so worthy because of the warm welcome and comfortable room. Besides, all the main sights are around the Medea.

Friendly helpfulness of staff, good sized room with terrace, high standard of cleanliness, location is excellent.

The lift is out of service.

took a single room with a 90cm bed. Room is still big for one person, and cosy. Has access to the terrace which is shared with other rooms. Good value for the money.

Coffee Americano unfortunately only instant, maybe espresso is the better choice. Only sweet stuff for breakfast (pastry, cakes, sweet spreads etc.). Something savory would be nice.

The building was renovating, and so the hostel has a poor exterior environment. A bit noisy too.

The staff advised us to get to the hotel by taxi from the train station. The facade of the hotel facing the street is not inviting. Beware: cash only. They allowed us to keep our luggage in their office, but given that their office closes for a couple of hours in the afternoon, this closure negated the advantage of leaving our luggage there. Oh well.

Nice location, comfortable room with a terrace looking on the St. Chiara, clean, spacious. Most staff is good and helpful. Make up th room and towel change every day.

The breakfast starts a bit too late - from 8am. But it is such (consists of a choice of industrial pastry of mediocre quality, some drink, butter/jam/nutella with a cracker bread - no fresh bread is served) that you can obviously skip and have much nicier morning just anywhere in the city. Good quality wi-fi is available only in the reception area. Doesn't work in the rooms and that was a shame.

Naples is a gritty but vibrant city, and Medea is a calm oasis. Once inside the iron gate and up the two flights of stairs, a gracious member of the staff meets you and takes you to your room. Open the French doors and explore your shaded terrace, rendered semi-private with artfully placed lattice, vines, and other plants, overlooking that inner space formed at the back of a square of buildings where peace reigns, birds sing, neighbors call to each other, trees sprout, and the city streets seem far away. In the morning your breakfast will be served here. That said, I do not know how the room would function in inclement weather (hot or cold) because weather was perfect during our visit. A nice mini- bar (reasonable prices) and refrigerator are very convenient. The whole place is also quite secure.

Breakfast could have been better - juice or coffee (only one beverage selection is allowed); yoghurt and fresh fruit are not offered; some pre- packaged pastries are rather bland. But the cappuccino is very good.

The staff were helpful and friendly and spoke english well. Having breakfast on the balcony!

Great location in the old city centre. Near a lot of monuments, churches, places of tourist interest, including a dazzling array of shops of all kinds. The hotel is in an attractively renovated space on the third floor of an old building. It has a beautiful terrace area onto which all the bedrooms open, so you can enjoy your breakfast in pleasant sunny surroundings. The staff are very kind and pleasant, and do everything to make you feel at home.

It doesn't have an elevator up to the third floor, which may be an issue if you have heavy luggage. While we were there they seemed to be starting on installing an elevator, though. Also make sure the staff explain how to use the key for the downstairs door to the building. We had some problems getting it open on two occasions. But frankly these are minor problems if you weigh them against the beautiful comfortable experience you will have at the hotel.

We were amazed by the lovely balcony when we enterred the room. The balcony is big and with great sunlight. It was very nice if the weather is good. Breakfast can be served in the balcony. And the room is not small. All and all, for this price, we were very satisfied and had a great time.

This B&B is on the 3 floor, and there is no elevators. Can be difficult if you take big luggages. But the staff helped us to carry ours :-)

Location from Napoli cruise dock is fairly close. About a 15 minute walk to the train station.

Wireless internet worked only intermittently in the room.

The breakfast is on terrace was amazing! The staff was so friendly. And gave me some good advice. And of course, location is exactly in the heart of old city center of Napoli.

The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. There is a wonderful balcony where you can enjoy the view and breakfast. Staff is helpful.

The reception is closed from 13:30 to 16:30 and that is very inconvenient. And it was not written on Booking.com website, which is a problem. Once you book this hotel you get a long e-mail from the hotel where reception opening and closing hours are mentioned but I forgot about it (and most of the guests did too) as I only had by booking.com reservation slip, which had wrong reception hours. So we had to wait outside the B&B for an hour before somebody from reception showed up and let us in. It is quite hard to find the place as Medea is located on a tiny street (to be fair I have to say that that part of Naples only has tiny, narrow streets). There is only one rather small banner at an obscure place on the street where the hotel is that says B&B Medea but it's hard to find even that street.

very nice place in the midst of the historical center, beautiful terrace for breakfast, very friendly staff, a little fridge in the room, I asked for fruit and yoghurt for breakfast and they gave it to me though it was not on the breakfast list. There was a desk in the room, very convenient for working with a laptop, WIFI in the room, excellent value for money,

Superb location, extremely helpful and friendly hosts. Very clean room. Possibility to have breakfast on the terrace with a view on St.Chiara church.
