This was our 1st hotel visit. We were apartment guests through UNTOURS, May 2012. The staff did not tell us about the key..for room lighting, which was confusing. Also, we were not told to leave the room key at the desk while out. Not a typical practice in the U.S.

The double bed was two single mattresses pushed together which weren't ideal.

Hotel Medici is ideally located for sight seeing in rome

The awkward Internet setup, whereby every guest is given a different username and password-- every day!!! Other hotels give everyone the same password, e.g., "HotelSangiorgioFirenze.com" and all guests use the common password until they checkout! I have already expressed my thoughts on this to the management, Other than that, I have no complaints!

Reasonaby close to Rome Central Termini Station and located within a lively area of shops and restaurants. The hotel was reasonably furnished and spotless.

Breakfast area is accessible only by steep stairs to an awkward basement area.

the cleaniness was not great, especially regarding the bathroom towels. The room was too small and, early in the morning, we started hearing the doors blamming and the cleaning people working. No acustic isolation.

The staff were all friendly, helpful and multilingual. It was very clean, breakfasts were generous and offered a good variety of foods. The hotel is located near a major bus stop, and several restaurants were close by. The train station is about 4-5 blocks away. My only complaint is that the beds were on the small size, both somewhat narrow and also short.

The facilities of the hotel is great, there is a open area where people can sit down and watch tv, or have a drink. There is also a garden. Staffs speak good English, and are very helpful too.

Room was too small, and the sound proofing system was very disappointing, if people next door shut the door, I will be waken up. This is not great.

A fairly quiet good all round location.

Breakfast (continental) was very good with a selection of "Twinings" teas, juices, coffee and amazing pasteries. The room was a decent size, with a nice shower and good A/C. The TV has only one English speaking channel (CNN News), which when compared to most Italian hotels is a plus. The Breakfast staff and Dario at reception were by-far, the most helpful staff at hotel Medici.

Overall I was very disappointed with Hotel Medici. At check-in we were left waiting for 20 minutes while the lady at the desk dealt with a courier making a delivery. Fridge was not working in the room and had to ask three times in a 24 hour period for it to be fixed. Some of the staff were terribly rude and unhelpful - definitely NOT service with a smile!

hotel medici is a city center hotel,just walking distance to all attractions except the vatican.the hotel is very near the termini and its nice to walk in the morning time,just 10mins.to the metro station.

well i think blankets need to be changed,seems old already.
