The View, The Pool and the staff. The climb back from the center of town (40 + steps) and the cold eggs at breakfast.

We quite liked the hotel - the location is very good, you reach the main street in 5min, everything in walking distance. We took the room with balcony and sea view - this I would recommend to everyone, to pay the extra money, because the view is great, onto Taormina, the sea and Etna (if it isn´t covered in clouds...). Staff very helpful and friendly. Room itself nice. The whole hotel had quite an old-fashioned, slightly run-down style, but we quite liked this! Breakfast choice reasonable. If the weather is nice, you can eat outside on the terrasse. Bathroom old appliances, but they worked fine.

Unspoiled gem. Art Deco original. If you want a flat screen TV this is not the place for you...but if you desire a perfectly situated, classic and wonderful hotel...do come. The views are breath taking. Just a bit up the hill...to give peace from the busy tourist center of Taormina...close enough to be in the center of things in a ten minute walk. Staff wonderful. Clean. Perfect. Nothing. Word of caution...we went in the last week of April...parking easy...lots of people, but not packed. We would not go during high season, as surely things would not be so easy...parking...peace. Taormina is a mountain town...uphill steps...simply beautiful brick and stone work...but can be steep for some.

A hotel near Corso Humberto, the main walking street. Away from the beach, but they have another hotel in front of the beach. Ask for the beach hotel voucher, and enjoy. The views from the rooms or from the swimming pool are amazing!! And the guys from the hotel do speak english perfectally! Recomend!

The views were wonderful and also the sun sets.Need a room at the front of the hotel, this is a must. The hotel is very pleasant but one of the front of house staff need a lesson in how to deal with visitors.Rest of gthe staff really very nice and most helpful. The hotel in general is long overdue for a refurbishment. The rooms although fine do need some tlc.

Lovely hotel with fabulous views over Taormina and to Etna, couldn't beat sitting eating breakfast on the terrace every morning. Lovely swimming pool and nice spacious clean rooms. Good location to the centre but just away from main umberto a wee bit so no noise at night etc. Would stay there again if visiting Taormina

Spectacular views on Etna and the coast. The hotel shows its age but location is superb. Only a few steps from the Duomo, restaurants and shops. Nice swimming pool. Accessible by car with parking.

The hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful. The hotel is in need of a refurb, although having said that everything is well maintained and in good working order just old and tired.

exciting views of sea and mountain Etna. Large balcony. Clean. beatiful marble floors in lounge and dining. bathroom not up to scratch, at best 2**. Lift too small and too slow. Some of the reception staff could have been more friendly and forthcoming.

Taormina is exceptionally difficult to drive into, and this is at least on the "main" road through town, and has parking straight off the street. The front rooms have a fantastic view over the coast and Mt Etna, and it is a short walk into town and to restaurants, providing you can deal with stairs and steep streets. There were no newspapers for guests to consult.

Spacious room. great, unimpeded view of the sea & Mt Etna from large balcony. Good breakfast as part of the hotel pkg. Beautiful pool & gardens. Location was easy walk to historic centre & sites of Taormina. This is a grand "old" building that is showing how tired it's furnishings as well as plumbing fixtures are. It is due for a major refurbishing.

Our balcony faced Mount Etna- I would definitely recommend getting a Sea View Room! And the pool area was lovely though it was very quiet when we were there so not sure how it would be with a full hotel as it is quite a small pool area. And they provided cushions for the sun loungers- always a big plus. The breakfast really wasn't fantastic.

My 13 year old grandson and I thought it was the best place we stayed in during our holiday--including Italy.Mainly the views of Mt Etna and Naxos from our balcony at night and the day views at breakfast on the dining room balcony. So it's a top location. We also found the staff helpful .My grandson wanted to go back and spend more time there.Thankyou for a great experience.Colleen Stuart,Dalkeith,Western Australia. Being able to make tea and coffee would be a bonus.
