A family-run hotel in a beautiful setting. Good parking in a courtyard near the entrance and out of view from the road. Excellent location up the hill from the piazza with the post office. Main sights and main street within easy reach on foot. Spacious room furnished in old-fashioned style, a pleasant change from uniform furniture.Even the bathroom has its own window and shutter. A good selection for breakfast, which is served in a large room with a terrace.Tables on the terrace give you the vista of the bay below and Etna. The gardens and plants here are impressive.The pool is deep and up on the 7th floor, so gives good views too. The garden is full of varied seating areas and nooks and is meticulously kept, carrying on uphill. A beautiful place to relax and enjoy.

Didn't notice a hair-dryer.

A hotel near Corso Humberto, the main walking street. Away from the beach, but they have another hotel in front of the beach. Ask for the beach hotel voucher, and enjoy. The views from the rooms or from the swimming pool are amazing!! And the guys from the hotel do speak english perfectally! Recomend!

The views were wonderful and also the sun sets.Need a room at the front of the hotel, this is a must.The hotel is very pleasant but one of the front of house staff need a lesson in how to deal with visitors.Rest of gthe staff really very nice and most helpful. The hotel in general is long overdue for a refurbishment. The rooms although fine do need some tlc.

The pool area is gorgeous and the views fab. The location is good too for town of tAormina.

The decor was tired

Good location, just 5 minutes away from the main street of Taormina (steep hill though with many steps). For 6 Euro you get a shuttle which takes you to their sister hotel (Mediterranée Lido) where you can use their private beach (towels included). Pool is nice. Most staff is very friendly. Views over Taormina and Mount Etna are unbeatable.

The rooms are extremely hot; air conditioning does not work at all. We even switched rooms to one which was supposedly cooler, but it was still sweltering hot. Very uncomfortable. Furniture is dated (first room) or very plain (second room) but we expected that from a budget hotel. Some staff members (the lady at the reception) are rude and unfriendly. Their check-out time is 11 AM without any grace (we asked to have the room another 40 minutes while waiting for a train, and were denied the request even though the hotel had other empty rooms). Not staying there again (mainly due to air conditioning).

The hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful.

The hotel is in need of a refurb, although having said that everything is well maintained and in good working order just old and tired.

Spacious room. great, unimpeded view of the sea & Mt Etna from large balcony. Good breakfast as part of the hotel pkg. Beautiful pool & gardens. Location was easy walk to historic centre & sites of Taormina.

This is a grand "old" building that is showing how tired it's furnishings as well as plumbing fixtures are. It is due for a major refurbishing.

Our balcony faced Mount Etna- I would definitely recommend getting a Sea View Room! And the pool area was lovely though it was very quiet when we were there so not sure how it would be with a full hotel as it is quite a small pool area. And they provided cushions for the sun loungers- always a big plus.

The breakfast really wasn't fantastic.

We quite liked the hotel - the location is very good, you reach the main street in 5min, everything in walking distance. We took the room with balcony and sea view - this I would recommend to everyone, to pay the extra money, because the view is great, onto Taormina, the sea and Etna (if it isn´t covered in clouds...). Staff very helpful and friendly. Room itself nice. The whole hotel had quite an old-fashioned, slightly run-down style, but we quite liked this! Breakfast choice reasonable. If the weather is nice, you can eat outside on the terrasse.

Bathroom old appliances, but they worked fine.
