- You can't open the windows to fresh air, because of the noise. - It's pretty dificult to get to hotel with luggage, streets around the Central Station are totally improper to pedestrian. - Neighborhood seems suspicious, but I haven't seen any situation.

Air conditioning did not work and room was hot which meant we had to open doors above a very noisy railway line... Room was tired. .. carpet stained. .. paper cups fell apart with tea in them. .. should be plastic at least or glass preferably. .. only one Bath towel

Friendliness and helpfulness of staff

Carpets were in very poor condition and had very peculiar stains. Despite linen and bathroom being very clean the room still felt dirty because of the carpet

Staff on reception were excellent. Breakfast was also very good. The bathroom was very clean and the room generally had good facilities.

The bedroom was in desperate need of a bit of new decor. The carpet looked like it had been stained/ bleached numerous times and desperately needed replacing. The walls also needed a coat of paint, but otherwise it was a good place to stay. The local area is a bit dodgy but that has nothing to do with the hotel.

The rooms are not that flash, for the price its just ok, but the carpets and curtains are in desparate need of and upgrade - have a look for the other Mercure near the water front... The reviews are way better

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. I highly recommend it. The staff are great, the breakfast is excellent and it is very convenient for the Central Station and is a 15 minute walk to the Centro Storico, It is also convenient for some good restuarants. Napoli is one of my favourite Cities and I will be definatey using this hotel again.

The location is good for those (as me and my wife) who wants to travel an early train.

The room carpet, they should change the room carpet.

It is relatively quiet & cossy.

It would be proper and eco friendlier if the old & worn out carpets in the hotel rooms are changed.

It was great quality for the money we paid. It was clean and comfortable and the staff were really helpful and let us choose from 3 rooms.

The only negative was that the carpets look like they have had bleach spilt on them in patches. It's a bit strange but not gross. It's also right by the train tracks but this didn't bother us at all.

Worn carpets and slightly grubby walls in places.However,i had read previous reviews and expected this but stil booked because of the excellent value for money.

The desk staff were very friendly and helpful at check in, and I was able to email documents to them for copies to be made. They were helpful with directions, including giving a very helpful map of Naples. It's close to the central train station which was perfect for making connections in & out of Naples. The breakfast was very good and had a lot of dining options.

An otherwise clean and well appointed room was in need of carpet replacement. The shabby (bad stains) condition of the carpeting cost the hotel an "excellent" rating on the cleanliness rating of the room. I would suggest the staff pay more attention to having the hotel marquee light on, since when we arrived the street lights were not yet on and it looked very dark down the block to the hotel. We couldn't make the a/c work, costing am excellent rating on the comfort.

Very convenient for the Central Station if you travel by rail. Clean, efficiently run hotel.
