I really loved at most friendly staff! And also the park in which the Hotel is situated, is really splendid. My friend and I we spent some pleasant hours in round the clock bar with a glass of wine-) I'd definitely recommend this hotel!

When in the street is cold, in room it's quite cold too. When we first arrived, reception staff wasn't seem to have our reservation, but we were given a room without any problem

decoration, and Style Also they have a very good Restaurant to try delicious pugliese gastronomy.

the location, it´s a litltte bit far away from the centre. Not very recomended for those people that not have car.

The rooms in the hotel are indeed very very big. We had a double bed for my parents and a single bed for myself (in the room for three) at a very big distance from each other. The bathroom is very nice and convinient. Perfect wi-fi. And an incredibly great breakfast!

The sauna is not great for a 4* hotel - tiny and not very pleasant to be in...

The surrounding gardens and trees made you feel in the countryside, while you are actually in the city. Breakfast outside in the sun surrounded by nature and bird song, was a wonderful way to start your day.

The food was excellent and, once you are inside the hotel gates the garden is lovely. The restaurant staff were friendly but please read below re check in. (Check out was better - different staff!)

My welcome, or lack of it. For the first time ever, in any hotel, I felt an unwelcome guest. I had arrived early for check in so my room may not have been ready in which case I would have been quite happy to wait with a coffee until it was. I was given a double room rather than the superior executive twin I had booked. When I asked about the shuttle bus to the airport I was told that it was full, without even being asked what time I was flying. I was told that a taxi cost the same but no offer was made to book one for me.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, excellent service, good choice of food in the restaurant, WiFi, parking area available.

Perfectly clean hotel with very big rooms and bed. Friendly staff. Nice bathroom. We did not try the restaurant however...

If you visit the city by foot, you have to cross some dodgy areas under the railways. We did not have any bad impression but would not like to walk there at night alone.... Especially if you are a girl

The hotel is the right size to relax and not be surrounded by too many people. Room was very nice and large. Good that the hotel has gardens as it cuts you off into your own little haven after a day in the city. Breakfast was good with a good selection. We had dinner once and that was of a high standard, although after walking around the city all day the smaller type portions of fine dining were not up to the task of eliminating our appetite completely. But top marks for the quality. Bari's major asset is it's people. We found everyone to be very helpful and courteous and nobody was trying to push us into buying anything.

I think the major downside of this hotel is in its surroundings. Walking from the hotel to the city centre one has to pass through a quite inattractive part of the city. It would be ok if the local council took the time to clean the place up and to impose some sort of punishment on those who have literally covered the whole city with useless graffitti. They are everywhere , even on classic buildings. Bari is not a tourist oriented place. They have a beautiful long promenade which could have been developed into a large swimming area with various outlets but instead there are only apartment blocks. I would recommend Bari for a short shopping stay.

Staff, service, ambience

Paper thin walls and floors meaning kept awake all night and funnily enough the local leaflet in the rooms for the hotel boasts that all the rooms are 100% sound proof

poor internet connection (may be for the room I have stayed which was in floor 3), old city is a bit far away for walking.

The Mercure Villa Romanazzi Carducci was a wonder ful hotel quite an oasis in such a typical suhern Italy city like Bari. The staff wa so very helpful and sitting and having breakfast on the terrace in T shirts surrounded by palm trees and sunshine in early Autumn, at such an amazing value for money breakfast buffet price of 9 Euros each that included any amount of cappucinos expresso fresh orange, fresh bread, fruit cakes etc etc that you required.We would definatley return to this hotel if we return to that part of Sothern Italy.

Very clean, we'll run hotel. Restaurant meals were very good and rooms were spacious with modern facilities.

We stayed for one night as a transit point. I had noticed other reviewers saying it was 30 minutes walk to the train - I didn't find it took that long. Its a flat walk all the way and if your luggage has wheels its not a problem. We booked a deluxe room which was spacious, clean and comfy. The staff were very accommodating in providing us early check in as well.

We stayed mid October. I understand its not peak season in Europe but we wanted to laze by the pool - the weather was a fab 26 degrees celcius. The pool wasn't heated (as advertised) and looked as though it hadn't been cleaned since end of sept. Maybe its just me, I'm and aussie and if the weather is fine and over 25 degree's I want to swim :)

Immediate area outside the hotel grounds is unattractive and run down.

Room is very spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The location is quiet and green surrounding in such a mid. of busy city! Although the location of hotel is quite far away from the city nevertheless to get a taxi is not a problem as the price is reasonable for a taxi cost.

We booked executive twin share room and it was very spacious.

NO tea/coffee making facilities at all - and no room service, menu or mini bar in fridge. When trying to order room service they were absolutely not interested and told me "why dont you eat in the restaurant" - i can tell you after a full days sight seeing the last thing i wanted was to eat in their restaurant!!

Modern hotel set in extensive grounds of old villa, with the landscaped gardens, statues etc.still in place. Nice, unusual pool with sun loungers. Friendly, efficient staff. Good breakfast choice including eggs cooked to order. Free parking within the hotel grounds. Free wifi. Close enough (just!) to walk to the nice Old Town, which has a good number of restaurants and bars. Also quite close to the main shopping area and the railway station. We'd happily go back.

Local area a little run down, but safe and we liked it! 20-25 minute walk to old town, so wear decent shoes!

Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, very nice garden, small but nice swimming pool.

Not of lot of beds available at swimming. Neighbourhood not very attractive, although when you are at the hotel you won't notice it.
