The people on recept desk were good especially Giovanni who was on night shift. His English was pretty good (much better than my Italian, I might say) and he was very friendly and helpful. I gave him a bottle of wine when we left in appreciation of his helpfulness. The room was a bit small but was in good condition. Everything worked. The hotel is at the end of a dead end street and so the traffic noise is dramatically minimized, especially from that from the infernal scooters and motor bikes. The biggest complaint I have about this place is that if we had had to use the air conditioning (we didn't) it would have cost an absolutely outrageous e15 (about $21/day) for it. There is no way that this charge reflects the cost to provide ac and as far as I was concerned it was just a potential source of additional revenue. Over the past three weeks we stayed in about 15 other Italian hotels and this is the only one with the extra charge for a/C. Therefore, summer travellers should give this hotel a miss if they don't change their policy re the a/C. The $110 room cost (for Sept) included breakfast (travellers should make sure that breakfast is included [colazione incluso] when they make their bookings at any hotels). However, this hotel is too small to have a breakfast room as many do and breakfast is brought to your room at your requested time. The breakfast is very Spartan being one croissant, one package of pre toasted "rusks", one pack of juice and one cup of coffee each. A very poor breakfast. If the option were available to reduce the price and not have breakfast included for, say, e8 per person, I would take it and eat elsewhere. Despite all this, I would stay at this hotel again if I wasn't traveling in the summer as it is in easy walking distance of the buses, trains and metro. Just don't try and get on these at rush hour!

Reasonably close to terminale train station and to some restaurants. Size of room reasonable. Rooms clean . staff were helpful when I spilt my breakfast tray. Renovations at hotel. Outlook was awful ( rear rooms look into a very squalid back of hotel area and front rooms- onto noisy alley and workmen on scaffolding at 7 am. Noisy grotty alley that it was in. Reception on 1st floor with no lift. Breakfast was poor ( croissant stale and a machine or instant coffee and packet juice served on a tray in the room ). Noisy tv in reception area could be heard in rooms which are close to reception.

The hotel is very good from the beginning to the end. The man at the reception gave a lot of recommendations, gave map of Rome etc. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was better than I expected - croissant, butter, cookies, jam and beautiful cappuccino. The breakfast delivers right in the room from 08:00 till 10:00. But, if you want to have breakfast at 09:00, order it for 08:30 - a little delay is normal for Italians :) But it's not uncomfortable. The room is very good for two-star hotel - very clean, very good bed, a lot of towels which were changing every day.

The best I liked was the breakfast in the room, poor but ok for beginning a day...Too close to the termini station. The location is a bit dangerous at night. I will not choose this location if I'll be in Rome again with friends (girls), but for this time it was ok.. They did not change the sheets.. They changed them after our complaints.

The location was great and the room was a good value for the area. A nice continental breakfast was delivered to the room at the desired time. The drapes and bedspread were a little dated, but the bathrooms were clean and in good working order. Wifi was available at a very reasonable price. All in all a good location on a quiet street near the train station that was priced well. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is very close to Termini Station (train station, bus stations and metro). Very clean, nice breakfast served directly to your room at an hour chose by you (between 8:00 and 10:00 am). There was some noise on the street, but not every night, depending on the people outside and their mood...but that happens a lot in this area (Termini Station) because it's full of hotels and restaurants. If you close the window you don't hear any noise from outside. Although it was very hot during the day, at night there was no need for AC. The hotel staff let us leave the luggage at reception in the last day. If we ever come back to Rome we would definitely choose Hotel Meridiana again.

we stayed in this hotel in August, 2011. We liked it's very good location: 5 minute walk to metro station Termini and to railway station Termini. We have very spacious room, that was cleaned every day. Rather good breakfast, for two stars hotel, was served directly to the room. By the way there is a very good restaurant "La Famiglia", near the hotel. Delicious cuisine, very friendly and polite staff, good value for the money. The staff spoke English not good. But we know Italian so that it was not a problem.

I really liked this Hotel. There was one specific guy working the majority of our stay and he was so Great location, close to trainstation. I actually really enjoyed breakfast, there wasn't a lot but it was delivered right to your door on time and had something warm to drink, juice, and a pastry...enough to get your day started. It was so nice that ac was offered and totally worth the extra 10 euro per night (through my research that seems pretty typical of Rome). Bathroom was a bit dirty, some mold in the shower and our room was right behind the check in counter so it could get a little noisey. Overall not deal breakers for me I felt safe and it was overall pretty clean except the shower. Shower was actually one of the bigger ones I had while traveling through Europe. Also the water would got from what ever temp it was at to extreme hot. Again, no deal breakers I would stay again.

Location of the hotel was a plus point. Especially its proximity to Roma Termini. Although ours was a 'Superior Double Room', the room was extremely small and very conjusted. The reason why it was 'Superior' is may be that it opened on small street, in front with a building 30 ft away. Other rooms opened to almost no where. Our room was next to reception which added to discomfort. Probably, this is the way rome is - Crude. The guy at the reception was ok but we felt bit absurd with his way of dealing with customers..
