|Centrally located, Roman Holidays is just 500 metres from Manzoni and Vittorio Emanuele Metro Stations. It is set in a 19th-century building with free WiFi.||
The Edera is right by Rome's Parco di Traiano park, just a 5-minute walk from the Colosseum. The hotel features private grounds, and rooms with air conditioning and a minibar.
Score from 259 reviews Good
Hotel Serena is set within walking distance of Termini Train Station, which is just around the corner. The area offers many typical restaurants.
Score from 1667 reviews Very good
Located right in Rome’s historic center, the Rome Kings Relais is just 270 yards from the Trevi Fountain. It features contemporary-style rooms and free Wi-Fi throughout.
Score from 827 reviews Excellent
Good location: close to metro, Termini railway station, ancient sightseeing spots.
Very weak breakfast; Owners have their own plans which come in the first place and the client relations come in second. First time in my experience a quarell between owners had such a huge effect on my stay in the hotel.
The location was great - just a 5-minute walk from the Vittorio Emanuele metro stop, and close to several good restaurants. Pietro was awesome - he spent a lot of time with us going over restaurant recommendations and other tips. The room was really nice - more like a hotel room than the B&B rooms I'm used to. On our last day we were able to leave our luggage while we toured the city.
Breakfast was much simpler than at most B&Bs.
The location, ten mins walk from the colosseum. The local knowledge and guidance from the hosts. The dinner recommendation was perfect, we ate there twice. Would stay there again.
More variety on the breakfast would have been nice.
This accommodation is ideally placed to see all the sights in Rome. It is a short walk to the Metro and the Vatican is only 7 stops away. The Colosseum and Palatine Hill are only a 5 minute walk. The accommodation was spotless and the owners friendly and accommodating. If I was visiting Rome again this would be my first choice of places to stay.
I came to Rome for business and leisure for a week. The location was great, the street safe even at night, walkable distance to Roma Termini, Colosseo, etc. There are many cafés and restaurants nearby, as well as grocery stores. The bnb is in a quiet residential apartment complex with 3 rooms. All the rooms were very spacious, clean, with ensuite toilet and shower. A mini fridge and kettle are provided. The owner Giulia is bubbly and nice. She'll tell you all the nice places to go and eat and she'll even show you how to make cappucinno if you ask. The breakfast is simple but adequate, served from 8.15 am to 10am. Overall I am very happy with my stay and will definitely come back again.
Some suggestions for improvement: 1. The wifi signal keeps disconnecting at times. It will be inconvenient for business travellers without a good internet connection. 2. Some small toiletries e.g. small bar of soap in the bathroom would be nice. This is not a minus point since I could get a cheap bar of soap at the nearby supermarket.
This was our first trip to Rome. Julia made us very welcome and gave very good information on places to eat and how to get around Rome. The room was large and the windows were extremely sound proof. The location 10 mins walk to the Colosseum. Thank you to Julia and lovely Nancy. Dawn and Stuart from England
Staff couldn't have been any more helpful, great location, all you want you a few days in Rome. Highly recommend to anyone.
We only stayed one night but it was perfect. The hosts are great. The rooms and common area are clean and well appointed
Just home from a two night stay in the Merulana suite-Really enjoyed our stay, excellent location, room was spotless and large, and owner was very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay again.
Local area Close to coliseum Excellent staff Big clean comfortable rooms Great value for money.
Breakfast options were limited
Everything was just perfect. The location is one small station from Termini that you can easily walk. The surrounding is interesting, you find restaurants (bars) and supermarkets are soso close, the next street. The metro is just walking distance, maybe 4 minutes. Giulia and Pietro are the sweetest and very helpful hosts. You easily feel home. Nancy was so kind and sweet. We really liked the cute balcony to spend the evenings there after long long walkings. Thanks for everything :)
There is simply nothing to complain about.
The most I like about merulana suite is the staff that made us feel like at a friend's house more than a hotel.especially Julia was very helpful and friendly.Pietro gave us names of all nice places to eat and visit.I fully recommend this small cute suite to the visitors of Rome.
They welcome with fresh fruit and snacks. The location is great. The personal touch is nice.
Warning! The owner does not understand good service. We were harassed with 5 telephone calls the day of check in since the owner wanted to confirm the exact time of our arrival. Very strange since the check in was between 12-20!! We had already informed the approximate arrival time and explained that we were arriving by car, depending on traffic etc it is hard to say an exact time. On the day of check out (11am) the owner wanted us to leave already at 9.50am because the cleaning lady had arrived. Breakfast was very poor and tasteless. In the hotel there was a sign saying it was served from 8.15 but the owner showed up from 8.30. Very strange behavior if you are running a hotel. The owner should be more service minded. It felt like the owner had a private time schedule that the guests had to adjust to. We wanted to cancel the booking because of all the harassed calls but it was not possible.
location is near train station, friendly staff, ready to help, to meet you any time you wish, simple breakfast, designed clean rooms, very very good!!!!
Owners were very friendly. Room was very modern and was equipped with AC. Tea, water, fruits, and a bottle of wine are already in the room upon arrival. Very clean. Overall, great value for money.
Wifi was intermittent. Cut out every few minutes.
Cannot compliment enough the facility and the gracious hospitality. Everything we need in a stay they accommodated with 5 stars rating; privet shower and bath, you get your own key to get in at any time, great location, large screen TV, AC, nice breakfast and great cappuccino as well. Everything was excellent; from the location to the room and the owner. A genuine find and highly recommended. Thank you Pietro. ממומלץ בחום רב. מיקום, נקיון, ארוחת בוקר ואירוח חם.
We had one night stay at Merulana Suite in transition from Rome to the Amalfi Coast. Overall, this is a great place. It is a few-minute walk from Termini. Pietro, the B&B manager, was waiting for us at the door of the building even though we were delayed by more than an hour from our expected time of arrival. The B&B was on the second floor of the building but a lift was available. Pietro was very friendly, hospitable and voluntarily gave us recommendations for restaurants that are not too touristy and information about how to get around town. The room we had was very spacious, super clean, we had a welcome gift of wine and some munchies, and slippers were provided. The room was surprisingly quiet (because of good quality windows) given that it overlooked a busy street, and the bed was comfortable. The B& B has several rooms with shared kitchenette where condiments, tea, coffee, pastry and other snacks are available to have any time. Pietro served breakfast himself between 8:00 and 10:30. The breakfast was very good, starting with fresh fruit cups, followed by pastry, coffee/espresso drinks and tea. For pastry, we had fresh croissants. We had breakfast in a cute little balcony that overlooks a garden in an inside court yard. It was a beautiful sunny day, which made it a perfect start of our vacation. Overall, this is a very good place to stay at if you are looking for a reasonably priced, good-quality accommodation while being centrally located.
Clean large room and bathroom. Simple modern decor. Friendly hosts. Decent location. All in all quite good value for the money.
I've stayed in a lot of Roman hotels and really for the price there is nothing worth complaining about here.
Merulana suite is a very clean and modern B&B place. It is located on the 2nd floor of an old building and has three guest rooms. Our room was very clean, tidy, comfortable as well as the bathroom. Our room was facing the main street (via Merulana) which is quite noisy but the windows were well sound proofed so there was not any problem. The room had also heating and air condition. The breakfast was not poor as many people claim. Do not expect eggs, sausages, bacon, omelettes etc. It is simple but very tasty: Croissant, biscuits, crackers, marmalade, butter, honey, nutella and of course coffee of your choice (American coffee, cappuccino, espresso) or tea. This B&B is well located near Termini station and 10 mins walk from Coliseum, Santa Maria Maggiore and St. John Lateran. You can also use buses and metro to go everywhere in the city. Via Merulana looks a very safe street always busy day and night with many shops and restaurants nearby. The owners of the hotel are Giulia and Pietro. They are very friendly, helpful and hospitable people. They will recommend you cheap but good places to eat and also places to see. They will help you with buses routes as well and anything else that you might need. We definitely recommend this place!
The location is great. Very easy to access from Termini Station, and close to the Colosseum. The hosts were very kind, helpful, and informative in giving tips and tricks. Without any doubt and hesitation, it is definitely a 10 out of 10.
Everything was perfect.
Great area close to nice restaurants. Easy walkable distance to the Termini and Colosseum. The host is very friendly and have great recommendations for restaurants and gelateries (not tourist traps).
Very nice location, central but on a street away from the touristy mess. Bright, clean, modern.
Breakfast was good but more savory or fresh options would be good
The Location was Perfect. Very Clean and Comfortable accommodation.Friendly Staff. It was a memorable time spent.
Our hosts were so friendly and kind. Guilia, Pietro and Nancy made our stay comfortable and memorable. Pietro welcomed us with a bottle of wine, biscotti, apples and lots of sightseeing advice which set the tone for a wonderful stay. Our bedroom and bath were both good-sized rooms. The small fridge was much appreciated as was the powerful (and colorful!) shower. Breakfast was simple but good, and when my husband mentioned that he was fond of fruit, Pietro even made us a bowl of fresh fruit salad the next day! Really nice people who will ensure you have an excellent stay in Rome!
