Score from 359 reviews Fabulous
Facing the Gulf of Naples, this 4-star hotel is in the centre of Sorrento, about 50 metres from Piazza Tasso. It offers its own swimming pool and free Wi-Fi in the lobby.
Score from 434 reviews Good
Very good and accommodating, helpful staff. Good mixture of age groups of staff. Extremely clean rooms with fresh towels daily. Liked the general layout of the hotel on different levels. Easy walk down to the town both ways. Plenty of comfortable areas to sit inside and outside. Pool never crowded. Air-con very efficient.
Wi-fi signal strength very poor and frequently cut out. A small safety deposit box is necessary in room and a small fridge was a surprising omission. Lack of power points in room was annoying too. Breakfast was very good and adequate but no variety from day to day. A more frequent shuttle-bus should be organised - Note that last shuttle is at 7.15pm with no return bus from town so be prepared to walk back!
The room was lovely and clean with nice dark wood characterful furniture and plenty of wardrobe space. The staff were very helpful and willing to help us with booking transfers etc. The pool area was never busy so it was always easy to get a lounger. There was a shuttle that went down to the town four or five times a day for just over a euro. Breakfast was very good.
The bar area wasn't very ambient. Drinks, food etc had to go on the bill rather than being paid for in cash.
I saw many complaints about the distance to the city. Since I saw the map before I booked I don't see the problem. For older people who can't walk there are a few buses leaving about once per hour. I like walking and you get used to the "dangerous" traffic. Pool area was OK
The beds were not ok really but I am quite picky with my beds. Breakfast waiter was quit rude in a strange and quite funny Italian way. He didn't really like to have guests it seemed and everytime you asked for something you got the response (all concluded): wait until I tell you to talk to me and show me the respect I deserve. I thought it was funny but everyone can't handle that. And oh, almost forgot. It was one of the worst hotel breakfasts I ever had!
friendly English speaking staff Quiet location. Comfortable clean rooms. Daily room cleaning and towel change. Free Wi - fi and use of computer.
No footpaths on road close to Hotel which made walking into centre unsafe. Hotel décor a bit dated. Breakfast choice limited. Pool small. Limited times for courtesy coach into Sorrento centre in the evenings.
Had a good sized swimming pool, staff were very friendly and bedrooms were very spacious
To walk up to the hotel from the center of Sorrento it was very dangerous as the last 200 meters had no pavement, making it very dangerous with the fast cars and sharp corners. Also Wifi was terrible, never had a strong or steady connection throughout my stay
The location is not that bad. Personnel is friendly and willing to help.
-WiFi had serious problems, cutting off all our stay. - in the room we didn't have mobile network signal. No signal at all, probably because of the location backwards. - things for the breakfast finish quickly but new ones were served slowly. Coffee was worse than bad. - really far from the sorrento center and going by car means not low fares for parking.
Big room and bathroom. Nice breakfast.
- the fabulous view of Mt. Vesuvius and the Gulf of Naples from our room's balcony - the space and comfort of our room - outstanding buffet breakfast - great swimming pool - friendly, accommodating staff
- the air-conditioning didn't really work
Rexalation by the pool.... but so much to do and see in the Sorrento area. Beautiful stay
The road to the town had no footpaths in a small section and was a little scary to walk
clean, friendly staff, food good
not disabled friendly, to far from the main town and it needed a hotel bus service, as taxi prices are a rip off
I liked the room and thought it was very pretty and clean. The breakfast buffet that was included in the price was wonderful and the coffee was great. The outdoor tables where you could eat your meal had a wonderful view.
We had 4 adults in our quad room and it was rather tight. We were always gone most of the time so we could make do when we came back at night though.
