- Location, Staff, Rooms are comfortable.
- The tv didn't have any English channels, except cnn, which was a disappointing. - The Wifi is extremely slow. - The breakfast buffet was expensive (30 Euro per person) comparing to the options they offer. No warm food. You basically can get what they offer for alot cheaper outside.
location was superb, staff excellent, rooms well appointed and comfortable bed. Very good breakfast in the morning.
We liked it all.
Great location, easy to get to from, train, airport or cruise line.
Nothing negative, except very busy area!
Excellent location, friendly staff
Lack of a walk-in shower
Very surprised to see the metropole immediately coming into Venice. If you have any problems toting your luggage around, then this is the place for you! Staff always attentive and welcoming!
They held our room for us. We were late to arrive because of bad weather and water taxis not running.
It was very overpriced for the size of the room and the view was a brick building next door.,,breakfast was also very expensive so we decided to eat elsewhere.
Location was the best within walking distance St Marks Square and adjacent to vaporetto docks in lagoon. Beds great and bathrooms. Historic and elegant.
Rooms beautiful but small. Breakfast not included and very costly in hotel. Very few restaurants serving breakfast in area.
Our room was confortable and the personel was peacefull and our room was clean
The breakfast was good but Price was High for breakfast and for coming to the hotel we payed a lot of money to the boat taxi
Superb location, excellent service and outstanding in every respect.
The Staff was very nice. They gave us an upgrade in our room . We gor a nice suite overlooking the laguna
Room and bathroom were clean and A/C worked.
Staff was not as friendly or helpful as we saw in Rome.
The wifi was bad in the room. Room 319.
I did enjoy the hotel. My favorite was the bath and all salts and soaps to go with it. They also provided a free boat ride to Muro for the glass factory. I also love our view of the river in front and that we were only min from San Marco Plaza
Very dark. I actually like antiques and found the collections very neat, but the hotel has terrible old musty smells and seems dirty because of the smell. The beds were super hard and I had a hard time sleeping at night. I would not mind staying here for half of what I paid, if I had to do it over I would choose another hotel.
Location, bathrooms are good.
Reception staff was rude at checkin when we told them we would need an extra bed for my 3rd child as we had booked a double and a twin...
Location. The view from the terrace (of the 2nd room)
We have to move to another room because of the view; we have booked terrace view, but have to go one floor up Room Very large but bad decoration. Expensive
Great Location and hotel !! So close to St Mark's Square and great view over the lagoon as you come out the door !!!
A first class hotel with a lovely atmosphere - fabulous position and also very convenient It was everything we could have hoped for and only two minutes from St Marks Square Amazing JW

Excellent location, the second time that we have stayed at the Metropole. This property has character and soul in bucket loads. A million miles for the thousands of typical same+same+same hotels that you find in the chains around the world. A refreshing change!!
Nothing at all, delightful in every respect.
The location, the view from our room (319), the courtyard for breakfast, the helpfulness of the staff
Wifi was very patchy; didn't like being pressured to give a tip for lunch (although happy to give one); didn't like having to point out mismatch between room details on booking.com with those provided (room 333), although this was sorted out, in the end
i like the style of this hotel and the great locaition the staff are helpful and ready to assist
the poor wifi connection the price of the breakfast is really too much expensive
The staff was simply amazing, always courteous & professional.
Inability to use my curling iron & flat iron even with the use of an European adapter. Kept blowing the fuse in our adapters.
