Great location for arrival via Termini, and also walking distance for younger travellers to most attractions. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Clean and well equipped rooms and a very pleasant bar. We picked a Rugby World Cup weekend so the hotel was extremely full. The sheer number of guests meant that the buffet breakfast was a challenge. |

Very good location, friendly and helpfull staff, good breakfast, clean and fairly large bathroom, nice bar at the reception area, overall very good experience Room was a bit too small (I'm not sure that we had the right room category compared to what we had booked), was too hot in the room and due to the fact the hotel has central heating there was no way to reduce temperature at night |

All the staff I encountered were very helpful, the hotel aws located close to the main railway station/metro, which made getting around Rome easy and cheap. |

The Starhotel Metropole is very conveniently located right by Termini, although at a safe distance from the most disturbing areas surrounding the station. It is surprising good and spotlessly clean -- very close to a 5 star rating and certainly better than 5 stars in many countries. My only criticism is that the coffee and water for tea was luke warm at best for the early breakfast guests. |

The staff were helpful, nice hot breakfast, good location just 10 min walk from the Colosseum. We had a hire car and had parking in the hotel at a reasonable price. The 'open weave' effect on the bathroom ceiling. It seemed dusty and perhaps somewhat unhealthy. |

The staff were great, very helpful & we were even upgraded to an executive suite when there was a problem with the heating in our room. The breakfast was great, full hot and cold buffet. We traveled with our 22 month old daughter and were very comfortable with the hotel & the location was perfect, within walking distance to all major attractions. Would stay again, wouldn't even bother looking elsewhere! |

Staff was not prompt to replace broken arm chair (legs were much higher than head) the evening we arrived, so one of us had to sleep one night on the floor and we changed hotel next day |

Spacious rooms, reasonable pricing. On my arrival I was given a room with continuous loud noise of working ventilation system belonging to nearby building. I didn't understated the source of noise immediately, believing that it was caused by internal facilities and left for the city. On my return late in the evening I realized that nothing could be done about the noise and informed the administrator accordingly. He has sent staff to check and then it took them half an hour to verify that my information was correct. Then it took them another half an hour to remove me to the other room. It all took place at almost at midnight and nobody has apologized for inconvenience. In fact I'm sure that they were well aware about the noise beforehand. Rooms' interiors need renovation. |

The hotel has new renovated rooms, the bathroom was clean and has a towel heater. The bed is good with extra pillows. The hotel is in walking distance from termini train station , you can catch a shuttle bus from the airport for 8 euro / person and walk to the hotel. Breakfast is standard continental. If you're driving, the hotel provides basement parking with a fee. Another option is to park outside in the street. TV is not flat screen , internet is available with a fee. |

staff is very kind and friendly. The room is too hot to sleep, when I stayed in this hotel in the middle of winter. When asking how I could make the room cool down, the staff said that only thing I could do was to open the window, because the air conditioner does not work for cooling the room in the winter. The staff said that every room was the same condition, and changing the room was not make anything different. I saw several room opening their window like us. |

The manager who checked us out did try to rescue the situation and was very pleasant, but after the room and other things, it was too late for us to stay. We left after one night rather than stay all four. There where lights out in the room, the remote didnt work, and the staff at check in was unpleasant, to name a few things. |
