Starhotels Metropole    

Our lights in the room kept going off and an alarm went off. The staff thought we were not smart enough to keep the roomcard in the electric box and blamed us for the outages. This happened numerous times during our two day stay.

Confort, very good taste on decoration, very nice staff and above all it was very clean.

The fact that i had to pay to access wifi on my room this days that should be a commodity available for free on hotel of this level.

We were given beautiful rooms on both our stays in Rome. friendly staff. great breakfast. central walk from station. close to bus. even though near station feeling safe but of course you have to be vigilant.

Spacious rooms with convenient storage. Buffet breakfast was very good. Great location - short walk from the train station and convenient to many attractions.

Walls of the hallways and rooms are scuffed in some places - takes away a little bit from the overall impression of the hotel.

The room was a good size for Italy and we loved the lounge even though we did pay extra for it. The breakfast was the best we experienced on this trip to Italy. A wide range of choice and a particularly lovely waitress that had our coffee orders sorted from the first morning and before we even asked on the following days.

The front desk could be a little more helpful with tour info. The hotel recommended the 'green' hop on hop off bus but our observations were that the 'red' bus was probably better. The aircon/heating was out when we arrived and they didn't know when it would be fixed. Luckily we could open the window or it would have been stuffy. It was fixed the next day so no great drama.

Clean, adequate well furnished rooms.

This hotel is a modern building in a superb location very close to Termini station. In contrast to many hotels in Rome, Metropole offers modern spacious very convenient rooms. The check in and check out procedures are simple and very rapid. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent. A great place to stay.

I needed to be near station Star was perfect .large room

We stayed here for the Easter and liked the hotel very much, clean, warm and comfortable. Very good choice of meals for breakfast.

Lousy internet service. everyone was sitting in the lobby and even then it was very slow

Conveniently located near the Termini (within 10 mins walk). Clean room. With 30 mins walk to majority nearby attractions. Friendly staff.

Not too much choice for the breakfast, but good enough for me.

The hotel was very modern and for me very familiar. The room was a good size. Breakfast was included. It is across the street from one of the best restaurants in Rome called Alessio.

The staff was not helpful except one front desk clerk and the front desk manager. I hate to complain about a breakfast that is included but it was the very same items for 4 days. Nothing changed one bit. The eggs were "european" or very loose. We were there in early April and the room was boiling. We were told that they don't turn on the A/C until the summer. We slept with the window wide open every night. Booking.com should note that there is only A/C in the summer. That said, he had a great time in Rome and the hotel was good.

This is our second year at the 'Starhotels Metropole' in Rome. Again, we found the staff to be very polite and helpful and the rooms were kept spotlessly clean each day. It's ideally position to get around the city very easily.

The only two negative points we would like to raise are - the hairdryer in the bathroom could do with changing as it takes ages to dry your hair and also gets very hot and there was only one adaptor point in the room that was working - not good with so many things needing to be charged!

Modern hotel with excellent facilities. Modern room reminds me of most decent 'business style' hotels. Reception staff efficient and friendly.

Booked this for last night of Rome & Florence holiday. Having returned from Florence by train and flying early it seemed easier to have a hotel near the main station for an early train to the airport. The hotel is what it is...modern business style but the area around the station is not fantastic and there are much better locations in Rome for a tourist.

Very satisfactory standard modern 4 star. Pleasant staff.
