We stayed in this hotel as a weekend break on our first visit to Rome. Initially I was slightly apprehensive as the hotel is located a good 20 min walk out of the city centre, however, having visited I wouldn't want to have stayed anywhere else. The hotel is situated directly next to St Peters, with a beautiful view of the dome from the balconies. To walk in to the centre, it is necessary to first walk through St Peters Square, which is breathtaking every time, and then a lovely romantic walk past Castel Sant'Angelo and over the Tiber. It is close enough to the centre, but gives a much more relaxed feel to the stay as it is without the hustle and bustle. The hotel itself is extremely comfortable, with large, clean and well stocked rooms. Breakfast is very good, with a large selection available. The hotel offers taxi transfers to and from the airport which are cheaper than regular taxi's. We will certainly be returning!

My husband and two friends stayed for a weekend break. The hotel was absolutely fantastic. It was a special birthday for my husband and our friend and the hotel made it very special for them both. The staff were exceedingly welcoming and helpful. The hotel facilities were nothing short of excellent but the view of St. Peter's from the hotel was breathtaking. An excellent location to visit the Vatican and St Peters and then to travel into the centre using the Hop On, Hop off. A well deserved 10 out of 10.

Location was great, easy access to the Vatican and only a walk away from the city of Rome, which was nice as the weather was lovely. Staff were very nice and helpful. Rome was little bit small but still was nice and clean.

We really enjoyed our four day accommodation in Rome. The only complaint I have is with breakfast being the same each day a little over it by the end of four days. The scrambled eggs were the worst I have ever tasted.

Location was excellent, pricing was extremely reasonable, staff was very friendly & accommodating, room was a little tight but clean & the bathroom was small but well appointed, included breakfast while not a kingly spread it was very acceptable considering it was included in the very reasonable room pricing. Rooms & bathrooms were a little tight as mentioned. Very small lobby ... gets crowded quickly (which we experienced when their computers went down & only 9-10 clients started to over fill the lobby).

Location of this hotel is brilliant and is the best thing about the hotel. It Cost €12 to get a taxi from the main train station to the hotel, and is located only 5 minutes walk from the Vatican. Plenty of local restaurants. We managed to walk from the Colosseum back to the hotel in just under an hour. All in all an average hotel in a great location with good rooms depending on which one you get as the standard room we had was a lot nicer and cosier than the other standard rooms I had seen. Breakfast was pretty average. You have to get your own tea/coffee which is rare at a 4 star hotel and I've never known that before. Staff were also pretty miserable. Only 2 English speaking news channels. At night the quiet room I thought we had on the 7th floor was not so quiet and as I'm a light sleeper, struggled to sleep that night as I could hear a constant hum and vibration from next door, which turns out to be ventilation. In the morning I explained about the noise, which reception are aware of, so they offered me another room to check out so we could change rooms, however the other room was in front of the lifts, on the 3rd floor (so close to the road) and had construction work going on in the rooms next to it, plus the room was not as good/nice as the one we had. I informed reception of this, so they showed me to another room which was exactly the same as the previous room they showed me but was on the 2nd floor, but still in front of lifts etc. So in the end just decided to stay in our room on the 7th floor as had some earplugs with me, and thank god I did.

Rooms very clean indeed, and cleaned when we asked, staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was not as good as we were used to, scrabbled eggs were quite sloppy and wet, and more choice of prepared eggs, I.e poached, fried or boiled, would be much better and the bacon was too fatty. On a number of occasions the coffee and orange juice had run out. Improve on these matters and the breakfast would be much nicer. When you have paid for something that is not on offer for you to eat, can be very frustrating.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Michelangelo Hotel, all the major attractions were within walking distance. All he staff were very helpful particularly with clear directions to all the attractions. The view from the balcony was amazing, you could almost touch the magnificent dome of the Vatican. Breakfasts were brilliant and all the food was fresh and plentiful with a good choice. We will definately stay at this hotel again.

location, size of rooms, staff friendly the matrass of the bed was not straight and I had to change the room and look for a bed without a cavity. Since many other rooms showed the same problem, it means that the hotel has not change the matrasses for long period

The staff were really nice and helpful every day we were there. The hotel bar was great to sit in and have a few drinks after we had dinner. Location wise, it was fantastic - just a few minutes walk to the Vatican. This hotel was great value for money however the breakfast wasn't overly great - the bread was slightly stale and the eggs did not look appealing at all. The coffee was also tasteless.

On arrival the staff were welcoming and most helpful. The room very comfortable and from the bedroom window we could see the dome of the St. Peter's Basilica. The location of the hotel was very convenient to all modes of transport. The breakfast each day catered for all taste buds and the service was excellent.
