We stayed in this hotel as a weekend break on our first visit to Rome. Initially I was slightly apprehensive as the hotel is located a good 20 min walk out of the city centre, however, having visited I wouldn't want to have stayed anywhere else. The hotel is situated directly next to St Peters, with a beautiful view of the dome from the balconies. To walk in to the centre, it is necessary to first walk through St Peters Square, which is breathtaking every time, and then a lovely romantic walk past Castel Sant'Angelo and over the Tiber. It is close enough to the centre, but gives a much more relaxed feel to the stay as it is without the hustle and bustle. The hotel itself is extremely comfortable, with large, clean and well stocked rooms. Breakfast is very good, with a large selection available. The hotel offers taxi transfers to and from the airport which are cheaper than regular taxi's. We will certainly be returning!

Breakfast, which was included in the price, was fantastic: a full breakfast buffet with eggs, bacon, cold meats, fruit, yogurt, pastries, etc: a feast! Also, bathrooms were spotless and very nice. The room was large enough with a small living room area. It was also quiet at night. Overall, it was great! It would be nice to have free wi-fi access anywhere in the hotel (I.E. bedrooms), instead of the lobby. Also, if you are prepared to pay the price, it is a nice hotel to stay in. The staff was very nice and competent. They made arrangements for transportation to and from airport, which was a huge relief.

Perfect localization. Continental breakfast boufet that would be considered an American one in many *** hotels. We asked for a morning shuttle service to the airport in the previous evening. The shuttle did not arrived and it was visible that they have just forgotten to order it.

This hotel is very central to all the sights of Rome, especially the Vatican .We walked through St Peters Square every day which is quite a sight. The rooms are small but very clean. I think this hotel needs up-dating as it looks very tired & old. Then you would have an exellent Hotel in a good location.

Excellent location only 5 to 7 minute walk to St. Peter's Square and St. Peter's Basilica.(depending on traffic) The breakfasts (which were included in the room rate I paid) were excellent - plenty of variety and amount. The staff in the restaurant were friendly and also the cleaning staff. The room was spacious, but dated and the bathroom was modern and very clean.. Some of the staff on the front desk were perfunctory. Others were friendly.

Great location, neat to Vatican City. Taking advantage of public transport you can be in the heart of the city within 15 minutes. We were holidaying (1 week) as a family of 3 (12yrs old daughter). Although the "Family Room" was a little cramped; it was exactly what we expected so no complaints here. Bathroom / shower were also on the small side; however it was clean, linen changed daily and good water pressure / flow from the shower i.e. good value for money. The room rate also included breakfast which was excellent (continental buffet but also hot bacon, sausages, eggs etc available as well; managed by nice and friendly restaurant staff. Highly recommended for a small family. Not much wrong with this hotel.

Good location by Vatican Internet service was not good and they hounded the guest after 7pm to leave the lobby and not use the free internet there that was only in 30 minute increments. The hotel was more like a 3 star. Not too picky with hotels, but this should not be listed as 4 star although it was clean and comfortable

On arrival the staff were welcoming and most helpful. The room very comfortable and from the bedroom window we could see the dome of the St. Peter's Basilica. The location of the hotel was very convenient to all modes of transport. The breakfast each day catered for all taste buds and the service was excellent.

We enjoyed a junior suite during our travel to Rome. The bathroom was beautuful as well as the bedroom and sitting area. It was wonderful to have your own coffee maker as well as a robe and slippers. The location was perfect for St, Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museum. The breakfast was better then most of the other hotels that we stayed at.

Good breakfast. Close to the Vatican. Our room on the 1st floor was over the dining room and very noisey from below. There was no Satelite television. All the programs were in Italian what few there were. Not good for business travelers. Restaurant was expensive.

The location is excellent and quiet. The hotel is losing some of its luster due to lack of maintenance. Things are broken and did not work. Surprising for a 4 -star hotel. The air conditioning made a clanking noise all night and the remote on the tv did not work. Plus the fridge turned off when you left the room so everything was warm. There is only limited Internet in the rooms, you have to go to the common area to use it. Again, very inconvenient and surprising for a 4-star hotel.

I had stayed at the hotel 5 yrs ago so I was comfortable staying here the staff was kind enough but not very friendly. The location is perfect if you want to be close to the Vatican The one and only computer which they had was not working thus we were unable to print boarding passes. The hair dryers need to be updated.
