A quieter alternative to Rome’s bustling historic centre, the elegant Vatican district is full of history and culture. Visit St Peter’s Basilica, one of the most famous churches in the world, or admire stunning Renaissance artwork at the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel.Pause on pedestrian Ponte Sant’Angelo, Rome’s prettiest bridge, and enjoy unforgettable views of Castel Sant’Angelo fortress, the final resting place of Emperor Hadrian and now a museum and bar. Set on the West bank of the Tiber, the Vatican district is a short walk across the river from Piazza Navona and the whole of Rome’s historic centre. For typical Roman restaurants and lively nightlife, follow the river down from the Vatican to characteristic Trastevere.

Perfect location to visit Vatican. You couldn't find better locaion. They offer nice breakfast, but same menu everyday. Room is a bit aged but clean and well maintained. OK for 4 star ratings, according to European standard. One tip! Don't forget to reserve entrance tickets from Vatican Museum website. You need to pay some reservation fee, but it is worthy! Less freindly staffs, they could be much better. Lots of group tourists, means very busy breakfast restaurant! |

Room was big enough for 3 person. Buffet breakfast was also nice. At the day of check out we asked to arrange car service to the airport. The cost of private car was 47 euro. However we had to wait for half of an hour after the booking. Finally hotel orderd to call a city taxi and explained that we would make 7 euro discount to 40 euro. I noticed later that 40 euro was a normal price to the airport. We were really disappointed about this treatment. |

Very close to Vatican City and bus routes. This was our second stay here. This time the hotel was not in as good a shape as before. A major disappointment. The rooms were clean but needed renovation. Carpet in halls old and worn. Bathroom missing hardware. Bathroom ceiling was awful-had a drop down ceiling with wires and other things hanging down. Dishes put out for self serve breakfast had dried food on them. Room walls were partially painted. This hotel lost 2 stars from before. |

Location of this hotel is very convenient, especially if you are going to visit Vatican, though walking to the old city will take 30-40 minutes. Note that parking, which is provided by the nearby garage, will cost you 20 euro per day. |

Within walking distance of the Vatican. The front desk staff was erratic; some were very unhelpful and some accommodating. The air-conditioner was not working; even after we had a maintanance call and they told us it was fine. Restaurant breakfast was good but other meals were not good |

quiet location and comfortable beds Breakfast was uninspiring and coffee was not good quality. Waiter did not ask whether tea or coffee were required. We had to ask most mornings for coffee to be taken away and tea brought |

Location to the Vatican and sistine chapel was good. Fresh sheets, good shower and bathroom facilities. The rooms were small and not very clean. the walls were full of black marks and there was no comfy furnature to sit on, only dining chairs. |
