great location good rooms nice view over the roofs of old city, good houskeeping

air condition in our room didn't work it took a day to switch rooms no food in hotel at late evening

A comfortable well located and well appointed hotel in a typical Milanese street. The staff were knowledgable and very helpful. A harpist or classical guitarist plays daily in the breakfast area. This adds great atmosphere.

The breakfast food selection was a bit spartan compared with other Italian hotels we stayed in on the same trip.

The location of the hotel is excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful

It can be noisy if your room is facing the road and it can be worsen when a police car was chasing after a small group of people at 5am!

Everything! The staff was amazing! Even before we arrived, we had contact with staff asking if we needed any services upon arrival. After our arrival, they were helpful with making our stay more enjoyable! When we walked into our room, it was beautiful, comfortable, and smelled great! I know that sounds weird, but you felt like walking into a spa! The hotel is green, which was so cool! The breakfast was the best we had had on our 10 day trip! We left wanting to return and to stay at Hotel Milano Scala!

Hospitality

Location is good. Centric, close to Milano Cadorna train station (30 min from/to Malpensa Airport). Wifi works well and fast. Used in-hotel- laundry and was good. Cleanliness up to standard.

1) Booked a single room with double bed preference specified. Upon arrival, got a very small room with a single bed. Apparently (was not quite sure about it) hotel was full and they were not able to change my room. 2) Room was dark, bed and bed linen and pillows were uncomfortable. 3) AC in the room is controlled by the reception and not by guest preference. Room was always warm and couldn't open the window because it is actually a door, facing an internal patio where dirty bed linens and towels are being placed in trolleys by the housekeepers during cleaning!!! 4) Bathroom is small and it gets almost flooded after taking a shower. Sink got blocked twice also. 5) Amenities in the room are standard but breakfast is poor where INSTANT coffee was served. 6) No value for money at all!!! Won't recommend it to anyone.

I neglected to state that there would be 2 of us and they charged us 30 euro extra more than original quote. Assume just for bkfst. Bkfst was good but not worth $42.

My suite no 602 was invaded by millions of black ants! So I immediately left for another hotel the next morning!

could not open window to sleep as it was basically a door giving directly onto a "shared balcony" connecting all rooms around the back courtyard - so anybody could walk into your room literally.

Breakfast Atmosphere Decor Very helpful and pleasant staff The personal e-mail sent to me by the hotel once I had booked offering to arrange transport etc.

Pillows (too hard) however these were changed on the nest day for softer ones. Shower head - I could only get water to come out of the centre of the shower head.

Location is excellent.

the hotel over priced compare to the service, facilities, size of the room. the breakfast options were very limited compare to the price that was paid for the room it consider very high with the type of breakfast that was available. the A/C can't be controlled from the room only by the hotel staff so you have to call the reception to change it, which is a headache. one of the biggest issue is the cleaning cart always in the way for me it was in front of my door all the time even though i spoke to the hotel several time, what make it worse is that the aisle is very small so the cleaning cart make it worse.

helpful staff and great location

Great design hotel in a very trendy part of milan.Good location ,great facilities and extremely friendly and efficient staff. The hotel is within 10 minutes walk of the Duomo and trendy Brera just round the corner.Rooms are spacious well appointed and the top floors ones have balconies ,great view and very quite .Highly reccomended.

Not much too dislike perhaps the beds were a tad too firm for our taste.

The location is great! Just near the Opera Scala and also quite close to Duomo and Brera Gallery. Breakfast is good with quite a lot of foods for selection.

The room is relatively small. Wifi is not stable.

I like it that the room was furnished stylishly and everything seems new and well-maintained. The propriataria, I think, was so nice and kind that she showed me to my room and didn't mind that I wanted to practice Italian and took time to let me and restated all that needed to pay attention to in English. The breakfast was such a heaven! Food was healthy (fresh fruits, juice, water, bread of all kinds and eggs and bacon) and there's live classical guitar play!
