TV was hard to work
Great Staff and Location. Its just 10 minutes walk from Colosseum and Manzoni Metro station is just opposite the hotel. This hotel offers huge spread at the breakfast, Also the staff is very helpful, they will help you in booking city tours, excursion etc. Wifi is really good. Also the hotel is near to many great restaurants and cafes. Would definitely stay here again.
The locations is very good, the mtero station MANZONI is just outside of the hotel. The staffs are kind and helpful.
Our room is in 2nd floor, and wifi connection is poor.
The staff was very friendly (gave good suggestions about local restaurants), rooms very clean, good facilities including Wi-Fi, good breakfast. Close to Colosseum
Service and Location were great. The rooms are spacious and feature large windows and tons of natural light.
Very welcoming. Staff very friendly and helpful, especially Claudio who gave us some good advice regarding pickpockets. The room was very comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was superb.
There wasn't anything that we didn't like.
This is a small, dysfunctional hotel in a scruffy neighbourhood of Rome. Many of the staff are unprofessional and speak very, very poor english. I have been in many 4-star hotels, in many different countries, and this is by no means a 4-star hotel. I would give it two and a half stars, on a good day. Why? Well let's see. The noise from the street is absolutely tremendous. I was forced to use ear plugs, but even then it was very hard to relax, because if you're not disturbed by the noise from the street, you will definately be disturbed by hearing everything people say in the hallway. Thin doors, thin walls, enjoy having your deserved good nights sleep destroyed by drunk guests yelling to each other to keep the elevator door open. Or you will be awakened by the fire alarm, which went off two times during our visit. The second time it happened we asked one of the staff why we were awakened by the fire alarm in the middle of the night, and he answered us in italian (even though we asked him in english). Well, that was helpful. The elevator ceased to work 2 times during our one week stay. Climbing to the third floor on steep stairs. after a day in Rome is not a joke. The Wi-Fi NEVER worked. The rooms are very small, there is no iron, the breakfast was terrible (cheap salami, cheap cheese, green eggs and stale bread every day). Yes, it's relatively near the Colloseum (15 minutes on foot) but that's the only good thing about the location. The first night we were there, there was a drunk man urinating mayne five meters from the entrance to the hotel. It didn't feel very safe, and the view from the window was depressing. However our vacation was wonderful! The best trip ever. Mostly because we didnt spend any time in the room, or in the area around the hotel. We spent every day and night in the beautiful area of Trastevere, oh what a paradise on earth! But next time we will book a hotel there.
Location was good Staff were good and friendly Breakfast was very good Overall good value for money at a good location
Very Small room Cannot be classified as a 4 star hotel
Proximity to Manzoni Tube station Breakfast selection
Location is great. Walking distance to Colleseum and train station. Right next to subway stop Manzoni. Breakfast is okay but get there by 10a as they clear away early.
Can hear drainage of other room.
Rooms are very small
Staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Public transportation was just out the door or, in the case of the underground Metro, right across the street. Colosseum was 15 minute walk. Our flight out was scheduled for 20:40 and though they could not allow us an extended check-out, they did secure our luggage so my family and I could enjoy another day in the Eternal City
The "Triple room" was actually a regular sized room with a double bed and a roll away bed. No couch and only 1 chair. A little small for 3 adults. No lunch or dinner available in hotel, though breakfast buffet was excellent.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfasts had a nice variety of food and really enjoyed the coffee machine.
I would have liked to conrtrol the air conditioning temperature from our room but we were only able to control the fan speed.
I liked the location - we were very mobile and having a location more central would have been easier but we loved the extra exercise.
Breakfast doesn't change day to day and was a little boring after the first few days.
Very Friendly and polite stuff.good enoufh location
Thanks to Claudio. He is such a wonderful person. Great hotel, quiet rooms, metro station and tram stop was across the street.
Room was quite small.
Excellent location, a 10-minute pleasant walk down the straight avenue from Colosseum, just across the street you can step down to the subway and jump on a train to Trimini (5 min or so) or Vatican (20 min or so). Breakfast will absolutely allow you to charge your batteries for quite a while. In case you feel like eating out there are also a few places around to go as well as some groceries late-open. The room we were accommodated in faced the backyard: without frills, not too spacious, but with a pretty nice bathroom. Overall, as for Rome I guess “value for money”, and I can frankly recommend for those keen on the beauty of the city and not spending the entire day at hotel. Greetings and grazie for the staff, always nice and helpful, see you next time.
One thing annoying however, despite the individual control device in the room, the air conditioner didn’t react on any personal settings. It seemed like it was centrally managed, which always gets someone unhappy for a different temperature comfort level. For us in June what did the trick was leaving the window open at night (the street noise then can disturb a bit, even on the backyard side), and having the curtains drawn during the day thus keeping the room from warming up too much. Nevertheless I do hope the hotel sorts this out someway for hot full-summer nights.
excelent breakfast; great location
room areas; ants in the bathroom
The breakfast was very good, but the eggs were always cold. We even ate when they opened and they were still cold. There was plenty of room in our room, enjoyed that and the proximity to all modes of transportation was great. We would stay there again!
The hotel was advertised as soundproof and that was not true. Being on a busy street, it was very loud, so loud my grandson did not sleep the length of our stay. Also, there was to be a guide for sightseeing and there was none, we had to find our own way around.
While Arriving Sick (gastroenteritis) to The hotel, staff did what ever it takes to ease the situation. Including an earlier check-in and suitable food to the room. Very helpful with info and tips for traveling inside Rome. Room was very comfortable. Near The Colosseum and Manzoni Metro station is just nearby.
They've made some renovations at the entrance, so there was a bit noise and dust at the lobby. but did not take much time.
Mostly everything,excellent breakfast.
Rooms are smaller than advertised.
Good location with a metro directly outside. Value for money is very good.
The location of the hotel is perfect. It is in the city center. The Metro is across the street. Colosseum is a 10 mins walk from Hotel Milton. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and confortable. Breakfast is included. Wide variety. I can only recomend this Hotel to anyone who is planning a stay in the Rome. While there we were very happy we have chosen Hotel Milton.
