Built in 1979 and completely renewed in 2005, the Mirage has a nice location in Viareggio, close to the sea and the historic buildings along the seaside promenade. The hotel is comprised of 22 rooms decorated in a modern and comfortable style with marble and crystal. Most rooms have a balcony with a lateral view of the coast. The Mirage enjoys views of the picturesque countryside of Versilia, where the sea and the mountains create a wonderful, tranquil atmosphere. The hotel offers a beautiful panoramic solarium and roof garden, ideal for sunbathing. On the first floor, the historic Mirage restaurant serves a variety of starters, homemade pasta with sea food, and fresh fish, cooked in traditional and contemporary styles. The restaurant originally opened in the late 1960s, and since then it has become the meeting point of show-business and sports stars, mentioned in the Michelin Guide. A small, comfortable hotel with friendly, helpful staff ... just the place to stay as a base from which to see the area ... others in the locality may be bigger with extra facilities (a swimming pool) but here I felt I was treated as an individual. Very handy for the main promenade and the restaurants & shops. One point - the railway station is a gentle walk away; better this than the ten euro taxi fare if you don't have luggage ... I cannot fault the Hotel Mirage ... it suited my needs perfectly.

Very friendly staff, always there for you. Excellent location between the beach and the shopping streets. Nothing in particular. But there could have been other than just plastic glasses in the room (for drinking). And what about a mirror in the room?

Sehr freundliches,sauberes Hotel. Sehr gutes Frühstückbuffett.Alle Menschen ,vom Besitzer, Kellner, Nachtportier,Zimmermädchen bis zur Putzfrau sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir werden dort wieder einen Urlaub verbringen.
