The staff: 2 girls at the reception provide one of the best wellcome ever received in many hotel worldwide. For any occurrence they are ready to solve problems and make your stay as comfortable as possible.
The hotel is kind of "essential". It's clean, good view (every hotel has: the lake is everywhere), awensome position to reach the center by walking, but the room and the services provided are quite basic, in terms of bed, bathroom, furnitures. However, for a couple of days it's perfect.
The knowledge of the staff The location Comfort Cleanliness WiFi
Excellent location for walking to the castle, etc. No need to use your car to get there, a pleasant stroll. Plenty of parking in the grounds. It was good having a swimming pool and also being able to swim in the lake. Friendly staff.
Extremely hard beds and poor pillows. The jetty steps should be repaired - difficult to get down them into the lake but even harder to get back out!
Location was excellent View from room was great On site Parking Air con and room facilities good Supplied sun loungers
Pool not Heated, so we did not use it View of lake obstructed by reeds No atmosphere in Hotel Breakfast acceptable No Pool towels supplied
Location excellent (comfortable 8 minute stroll to Sirmione centre, bus stops almost outside hotel), spotlessly clean, bed linen & towels changed daily, staff very helpful
We were on half board for 10 days and although the breakfasts were fine, the evening meal quality was consistently poor with little choice. Although the hotel was quite full, few guests had evening meals
Clean comfortable room. Good breakfast selection. Pool is great. I especially like the lawn (with lounge chairs) that goes all the way to the lake shore. Breakfast is served on the terrace which is also a comfortable place to hang out on a (rare) rainy day. Books and newspapers available in the lobby-lounge are. Smal bar can provide drinks service.
Restaurant is so-so, but adequate if you want to eat in the hotel. There are many other options for dinner nearby.
Excellent hotel, clean, nice pool and lake side balcony, close to sight seeing.
Very expensive - but all close hotels seemed to be high end.
Dreadful rooms 60s hotel nedds refit. First room we rejected was worse than a prison cell (from pictures)
Except for the hotel being dated, everything was fine. English speaking ladies at front desk very helpful and friendly. Bar open for beverages throughout the day. Good WIFI. Location from center of town about 1 KM. Nice pool. Good parking. Sirmione is a beautiful city/castle.
Older hotel could use updating in room and bathroom. Couldn't swim at this section of the lake.
Lovely clean rooms, spacious and clean bathroom. Breakfast plentiful and good choices, (continental) and good service from head waitress. Pool very nice and loved the quiet, well kept garden with Sun beds for everyone and a view of the lake. Location for Sirmione old town excellent, only 10 mins flat walk, along lakeside (mostly). Traffic noise problem (see below), otherwise an excellent stay.
This hotel was a good all rounder for three stars with high standards of cleanliness. The only drawback for me is that it's on the one and only road into Sirmione and it is very busy!! Could hear the traffic even with the patio doors shut, which was a shame. A room at the back of the hotel may be better in this regard? We did get used to the noise very quickly, but would prefer a quieter location.
Location, pool even though it could have been heated
3 in one room, not two separate rooms
lovely hotel freindly staff right on the edge of the lake nice swimming pool only 500mts to Sirmione
do not go for half board same cold food salad and cold veg everynight no hot veg or potatoes lunch menu limited
Service, Staff Attitude, Car Parking, proximity of attractions.
The old issue of people claiming sun loungers as their own by placing towels on them and then disappearing for hours.....there has to be a better way of allocation......
Pool & gardens Jetty into lake Friendly and helpful staff Wifi Lounge area Breakfast on terrace Lots of storage in bedroom Safe
Limited dinner menu Basic bedroom furniture
200m from historic center of Sirmione. Friendly and very helpful staff
Dated rooms (from the 80's) Electrical plug sockets are so dated that some didn't work every time. Rooms very small. Cheap furniture
Staff very friendly esp Virna the receptionist. Lovely clean, fresh rooms, perfect location, great breakfast sitting on the veranda, . The outside area with a lovely swimming pool and loungers under the trees.... such a relaxing time. We shall certainly return and would definitely recommend this lovely hotel.
Breakfast Location Value for money Friendly helpful staff
Friendly staff, pool
Very slow wifi
Nothing to dislike, comfortable, close to old Sirmione. Friendly and helpful staff, a great environment
Perfect loactaion, walking distance to Sirmione town. Pool and beach access and parking facilities.
The lake view worth everything. We were in the room that directly facing the lake, which was the best part during our whole trip. And the room was very big and nice and clean. The staffs were truly helpful and friendly, willing to help for everything, every issue.
No WiFi in the room, at least in our room, so we needed to go down stairs to the lobby to get signal. There was a paddle boat but was broken, it was a pity that we couldn't use it to roam on the lake. It takes 15 to 20 min walk to the bus station were we arrived and left.
the staff was very kind and helpful. the hotel is located 10 minutes walk from the castle. the rooms are big.
Sitting on a sun lounge on the lawn overlooking the lake, swimming in the pool, the helpful staff, the generous breakfast, an easy walk to the castle and spa.
